The toilet was too low and both my wife and I had problems getting up. No grab bar available for assistance. At 2:00 am I tried to use the elevator to go down to the "market" to buy something to eat. The elevator did not function. When I called down to report this to the desk, they seemed to know about it but were not equipped to deal with the problem. They told me I would have to wait until the "morning" shift came on at about 7 am. After 7 am I called the front desk and was told that their maintenance person would not answer the phone until after 8 am and that they would call me to let me know the results.. Every time I spoke to the front desk I advised the attendant of the following: Both my wife and I are handicapped and cannot use the stairs. We must be in our car and on the road no later than 10 am, due to a nurse appointment in Toronto to check my bandages, reset my pump, replenish my antibiotics and clense my picc line (I recently had spinal surgery and developed an infection). At no time did I feel that Marriot understood our potential dilema or that they were sympathetic to our situation. I did not get much sleep as I was on the phone with the front desk intermittently for over 6 hours before I was told that the elevator was now usable (it seems that the elevator went to the basement and the door was left open and thus it would not move. A company like Marriot should have staff that "think" about the safety and well being of their guests as well as the potential co

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Great breakfast and we were able to charge our e-car right in the parking lot. Walking to St. Jacobs Market took 5 minutes which was very handy. We would stay here again.

The stay was really lovely! Everything clean, comfy, and well stocked, and the staff got us plates and utensils when we asked for some too - since our room wasn't a one with a whole kitchen. The food at the bistro was yummy as well. All the staff was very accommodating and kind, and things were reasonably quiet too. My only complaints would be that the window was a bit drafty, and that the TV reacted very strangely to both a laptop and a Nintendo Switch being plugged in. Neither really worked, the laptop not being able to show anything on the big screen, and the Switch being locked at a super loud (unplayable) volume for some reason haha. Aside from that, everything was perfect, I'd readily recommend to a friend, and will probably stay again if the need arises. :)

If you’re planning a trip to the St Jacob’s Market. This hotel is within walking distance. Our room was large and clean. We did not eat in the hotel restaurant so I didn’t rate the breakfast. As an EV car owner. There were plenty of charging stations available. The staff were very friendly, and accommodating! We recommend.

I travel to the area often for work and was excited to try Courtyard by Marriott. Pros: Parking Easy check-in Starbucks and bistro inside hotel. You can use your free breakfast to grab a Starbucks coffee to go Cons: They only clean the rooms every other day unless requested They don’t provide extra makeup wipes or supplies, even though they’re cleaning the room every other day The shower in the room was unacceptable. My first thought was I was I had flip flops. It needs to be redone as the floor is worn with various stains and discolouring. The corners of the shower have black and red mold growing and the seal is torn around the base. There are numerous hairs on the sealing Can easily hear noise in hallways and rooms Nextdoor Given there are other options in the area, which I’ve also visited, I wouldn’t stay here again. The rooms and experience didn’t meet the standard I expect, especially with comparable room rates right across the road, but with greater service experience and higher quality rooms. I left feeling as though I didn’t get value for the money spent.

Dirty bathroom floor. The floor in my bathroom was filthy. It was of white tiles that were full of black grime. This was very apparent as I was in an accessible bathroom where the floor of the shower merged into the floor of the bathroom. I reported the situation and was given a new room where the shower floor was also full of grime. Strangely, the hotel doesn't wash the bathroom floors regularly.

I had to switch rooms because the first one I had was terribly noisy: there were bizarrely loud, random noises coming from the roof, and the heating system produces a terribly annoying throbbing sound. When I went to the front desk to request a room change, there was no apology for the inconvenience, which surprised me. It's not like I was being picky; the room was stupidly noisy. I was moved to another room on a lower floor. The throbbing noise from the heating was much less but still present and bothersome. The hotel overall is beautiful, very clean, and the staff, with that one exception, are very friendly and helpful. It's a shame about the HVAC noise. I'd happily stay again but unfortunately that incessant droning hum from the heating is way too annoying. For me, a good night's sleep is the most important part of a hotel stay and it was impossible for me to sleep properly with that noise.

Love the room design and space. Modern decor - all very comfortable and inviting - even the sofa (which doubles as a sofa bed) was very comfortable to sit on for watching TV. The TV is HUGE! Very clean room - actually as were all areas of the hotel. Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful.

The room was nice & the fireplace made it very cozy. The downside was the unacceptable noise level of the kids playing in the hallway till almost 11pm. the main problem we had was the morning after our night's stay - the cleaning staff started making so much noice outside our room at 8AM! we were up later celebrating a wedding and was expecting to sleep in- which was the main reason we decided to stay at a hotel instead of sharing a B&B - we wanted the peace and quiet in the morning as we don't get to sleep in much with kids. The cleaning staff were loudly talking to each other- ACROSS THE HALLWAY! - and all of this noise went on from 8 am to about 9:30 - vacuuming, doors opening and closing constantly... we kept on trying to go back to sleep - in and out, in and out - we missed breakfast for this reason! Also, there was no tissue box in the room - prompting us to go get our own - I would expect this basic item in our room. Despite the cleanliness - we cant help but rate poorly as sleep is the main component of our stay at the hotel - especially if we are staying one night and if that wasn't satisfactory - it leaves an overall bad experience.

The hotel was great and the hostess was really nice. The beds were really comfy. But the hotel charged us for an additional night and some other charges. I had to call in and get it refunded. The security deposit is also held on to for a long time. It’s been 2 weeks since my stay and it still hasn’t been released.

The room was great. The staff was fine, especially in the bistro for breakfast and at the front desk.The person who came in for housekeeping was very nice. The breakfast was not worth the amount we were billed. Eggs were burned, but cold (a very odd combination). Toast was cold. Coffee was served in a paper cup! (We really thought we would be getting better than a drive-through fast food treatment!)

This was a great stay. We arrived early for a wedding and were allowed into our room with no issue. Desk staff friendly and helpful. Room was clean and spacious. Staff throughout the hotel greeted us whenever we saw them. Beds are comfortable, shower was good, lots of hot water. Keurig with 2 pods in the room was good, though we prefer being able to go to the lobby for a cup of coffee whenever we want. When we all came back from the wedding, the hotel staff were great, letting us have a bit of a meeting to talk and review in the lobby and front of the hotel. I would happily return!

Really didn’t use any amenities as we were there to stay for a wedding. The elevator seemed to be very awkward. Everyone was waiting and seemed to be a little frustrated and resorted to the stairs unless they had bags. The café was closed when we were checking in and it would’ve been nice to be able to have a drink or a snack together with other friends. In the morning I had gone down to order some coffees to take to the room and the service seemed somewhat lacking.
