Garden Court Kings Beach

Upon my arrival, I was told that I had booked a smoking room, whereas my booking on my side as confirmed showe that I booked a non-smoking room. I was then informed there were no other rooms available and the hotel was fully booked, if I needed a non - smoking room I could try their sister hotel down the road. I am a gold member at Southern Sun Hotels, so I signed on to my profile and checked for availability, to my suprise there were rooms still available, however the consultant told me there were none. I decided I was not going to argue further or prove otherwise, I took the room. The following morning I went back to the reception and asked whether they were fully booked and had any rooms available. I was told there were rooms available. I narrated my story to the gentleman (Anthony) who was at the front desk at the time who gladly assisted me and moved us into a different room, different floor without any hassle as the room was open since the previous day. My check in experience was not what I had expected, as I had previously stayed at this hotel a couple of time in the past years.

This property advertises that they have air-conditioning, but they only have air conditioning in the common area is not in the rooms themselves very disappointed. Contacted the front desk. They wouldn't do anything to compensate for the lie.
