When we arrived the staff was not very friendly and helpful. Parking was difficult due to codes and the parking being away from the hotel. We had to ask for help from the hotel staff which we got, to get into the parking and out again. One couldn't open a window in our bedroom at all and there was an aircon which blew right onto the bed. So we were either hot and stuffy or in a cold draft. it was clean and quiet.

Les plus : - la localisation -> 10 min à pied de la gare Lille Flandres et surtout en plein dans le centre donc parfait pour visiter et profiter des resto - literie parfaite - télévision récente avec Canal+ - gamme de produits d'hygiène l'Occitane - mini bar gratuit -> hyper agréable d'avoir des boissons offertes - la déco plutôt stylée - salle de sport Les moins : - pas de baignoire -> dommage quand on vient de détendre un week-end - le bruit à l'extérieur -> nous avons l'habitude d'aller en week-end en hôtel et nous avons été étonné de ne pas voir plus de commentaires spécifiant les problèmes phoniques avec les jeunes qui crient littéralement sous les fenêtres vers 3-4h du matin. Heureusement nous arrivons à nous endormir facilement mais clairement il y a un pb au niveau des fenêtres. On a tout de suite vu qu'il y avait un jour. Nous avons essayé à plusieurs reprises de bien fermer les fenêtres mais cela ne changeait rien. Déco et confort sont au rdv! J’ai adoré la lumière qui passait à travers les fenêtres rondes ! La chambre était impeccable et la literie excellente. Personnel très agréable. J’y retournerai avec grand plaisir. Seul bémol selon moi, le parking payant et pas très pratique car la porte du garage se referme trop vite avec un digicode en bas de la rampe !

Hotel was close to the main square. Room & beds were clean and comfortable. Due to the unique windows in the hotel it was a landmark to be able to easily spot from a distance. 2 areas that challenge the hotels rating: 1) Parking is paid and you have to check in prior to being able to park. This is offset in that there is an ample pull out in front of the hotel to stop in while you check in. 2) Some of the finishing painting / carpentry appears to have been hurried. It does not impact the stay but it was noticeable.

The room was a good size but an odd shape so the space wasn’t very practical. There are nice outdoor areas for breakfast and the bar/restaurant but no non-smoking area so we didn’t find them particularly usable.

Location was right in the middle of things which is exactly what we wanted - great private parking which was super easy to access (extra charge but super convenient & reasonably priced seeing as we were right in the centre of Lille) ... breakfast was good but area was small, got busy and was a bit cramped ... room was spacious, clean & comfortable ... staff were friendly & helpful - we enjoyed our stay!

Lovely hotel in a convenient location so easy to get around. Staff are all welcoming and friendly, good service, and clean rooms. Good range of choices for breakfast and lots of restaurants near by. We ate in one evening and their burger was great.

Η γενική εικόνα της διαμονής μου ήταν καλή. Δεν έμεινα ευχαριστημένη από την καθαριότητα. Καθώς με την άφιξη μου βρήκα μια πετσέτα λερωμένη με αίμα. Την άφησα πάνω στο γραφείο για να την πάρουν καθώς το δωμάτιο είχε δυο ζευγάρια και εγώ ήμουν μόνη μου. Η υπηρεσία της καθαριότητας δεν την πήρε ποτέ. Μου έπαιρναν το σαπούνι που άνοιγα αλλά δεν το αντικαθιστούσαν όπως και τα αλλά προϊόντα του μπάνιου. Το δωμάτιο αισθητικά ήταν ωραίο αν και μικρότερο από τις φωτογραφίες. Διάλεξα δωμάτιο με μπανιέρα και αυτό δεν είχε μέσα.

The hotel location is great, very close to the main tourist area and not too far from the Eurostar station. Room was very clean and super helpful staff. When I was there, the aircon on the sixth floor was not working, as the room faces the sun, it can get quite hot and stuffy, so we have therefore asked to move to another room. The staff was able to arrange that on the following day but the other room was also quite stuffy and it did not feel like the aircon was on. I’m not sure if it was turned off because the weather was still a bit cold but we have decided to just have the window opened. So it was a bit noisy at night on the weekend but at an acceptable level. I would still recommend for its quality and location.

Quirky, characterful hotel in a central excellent location. Great staff, very friendly, going out of their way to help. Lovely breakfast. Only two small minuses. The room wax well equipped but a bit on the small side. Weather was cold when we were there and the room heating was not working well. The bathroom was particularly cold. The hotel staff kindly provided an additional electric heater which helped.

The hotel is in a very good position for walking to sights and restaurants. The room was clean, a good size and well appointed. The only downside was that the air conditioning was switched off at this time of year (end of September) and on a sunny day the room was very warm. The windows would only partially open and at night had to be closed to keep street noise out.

We had to ask for help from the hotel staff which we got, to get into the parking and out again. One couldn't open a window in our bedroom at all and there was an aircon which blew right onto the bed. So we were either hot and stuffy or in a cold draft. it was clean and quiet.

Travelling home from a relaxing few days at the Why. It's a great base to explore Lille, quiet yet within easy walking distance of the city centre. The staff were all tremendously welcoming and helpful, patiently listening to my poor attempts at French before replying in excellent English. All in all a great place to stay.. ,

Le séjour a été gâché par une fuite d'eau. Lorsque je l'ai signalé à la réception personne n'est venu voir. Depuis personne de la Direction ne m'a contacté sur ce sujet. Dommage. Je doute pourtant que cela fasse partie de l'expérience client attendue.

Excellent hotel, great position for Lille centre. The staff were exceptional, real credit to the great western hotel group. Rooms were clean and very comfortble. Breakfast was amazing. Good selection of food. My mobility scooter broke down and they managed to sort out the hire of a wheelchair for while I was there. Nothing was to much for them. Definitely recommend A*

The hotel location is great, very close to the main tourist area and not too far from the Eurostar station. Room was very clean and super helpful staff. When I was there, the aircon on the sixth floor was not working, as the room faces the sun, it can get quite hot and stuffy, so we have therefore asked to move to another room. The staff was able to arrange that on the following day but the other room was also quite stuffy and it did not feel like the aircon was on. I’m not sure if it was turned off because the weather was still a bit cold but we have decided to just have the window opened. So it was a bit noisy at night on the weekend but at an acceptable level. I would still recommend for its quality and location.

Location was right in the middle of things which is exactly what we wanted - great private parking which was super easy to access (extra charge but super convenient & reasonably priced seeing as we were right in the centre of Lille) ... breakfast was good but area was small, got busy and was a bit cramped ... room was spacious, clean & comfortable ... staff were friendly & helpful - we enjoyed our stay!

Lovely hotel in a convenient location so easy to get around. Staff are all welcoming and friendly, good service, and clean rooms. Good range of choices for breakfast and lots of restaurants near by. We ate in one evening and their burger was great.

At check in we were informed that if we had "green cleaning" of the room we would receive free drinks in the bar. We ordered "green cleaning" but discovered that the only thing that was done was that the bed was made. We needed toiletpaper for example but that was not provided - and no free drinks. That´s perfectly fine but why boast about it at check-in. The room (and the hotel) was a bit worn done and our bathroom was damaged by moisture around all the walls, the sink was leaking and the floor under it was puddled. The floor in the shower had big cracks and the top surface of the floor was missing on several parts. The telephone in the room was stone dead. No connection at all. The room thermostat was out of order which made the room to cold. We also had drinks in the hotel bar. Both an Aperol Spritz and a Mojito tasted just plain water. This is not a 4-star hotel. Far from it. Really disappointed. By the way. When we checked in we were informed that the minibar was free of charge. That seemed really nice and a generous gesture, but the fact was that the minibar contained of just one bottle - filled with water...... Just one more thing. Who is the clever man (or woman) that installed the sliding door to the bathroom whick make everything in the bathroom and everyone in it visible?

I had a good night’s stay at the Best Western Why Lille. Comfortable room and bed, free minibar, nice shower and bathroom and a very friendly greeting on arrival. There were some maintenance issues with my room which was a surprise for a relatively new hotel; while disappointing these did not affect my stay. The restaurant’s evening offering is limited but the food was nice. Good location to explore Lille.
