Amazing stay and a memorable experience of a proper and top notch ryokan. Onsen is wonderful, staff couldn´t be kinder, superb food. Wonderful views and central location.

The staff at this Ryokan are excellent in terms of their service, friendliness and professionalism. The excellent service began right after we booked, then continued in-person when we were picked up at Takayama Station on arrival and sadly ended when we were dropped off at the car rental when leaving Takayama. In between, the hospitality has been top notch and the dinner and breakfast were of very high quality. Our room also had the motorised bed and the corner view overlooking the river was a nice and calming way to start our morning. Onsen is also open-air, which is an experience itself when during Winter. I would not hesitate to book this place again in future.
