Selina Cancún Hotel Zone

This place is a hostel located behind a car park. The finish is really rough, the bathrooms were manky but it all seemed clean. The pool was large and there’s lots of outside space. The ability to leave your suitcase/ bags for the day and then use the shower facilities before heading to the airport was a really useful bonus.

Alberca no servia

La alberca es un poco sucia, en la noche ví a un roedor adentro de ella junto con otro grupo de personas. Si te interesa ir a los antros de Cancún creo que es la mejor opción ya que queda muy muy cerca para llegar caminando sin la necesidad de pagar los costos excesivos de los taxis.

Everything was great. There was too much humidity in the room so all dry clothes became wet and all wet clothes couldn’t dry. Even the mirror was foggy. The pool was closed so they gave us free tickets for the CocoBongo show which was really fun. Public transit was really close. Once we saw a cockroach in the bathroom. Overall great value for the money.

La piscina estaba en reparación pero nos dieron opción de ir al club de playa gratis, tienen a un responsable de salvaguardar el equipaje y hay 2x1 en bebidas!

Helt ok boende i perfekt läge. Dock så ser det betydligt mkt bättre ut på bilderna än i verkligheten. Det värsta var poolen.

En general bien pero el área de la piscina tiene mucha popo de pajaro en los camastros

This Selina Cancun Hotel Zona Hotelera always makes for a great stay! There little café serves great coffee and healthy food. The pool and bar are cozy right next to the lagoon. And the iguanas are lovely to watch! The staff is also very kind and helpful!

Bien me he quedado anteriormente y esta vez el habiente está más tranquilo, no había servicio de cocina o eso fue lo que nos comentaron. Ni barra en la alberca. Excelente servicio de la recepción y limpieza únicamente fuera de eso no parecían tener nada más para el huésped.

For the price it's not bad and right in hotel zone it can be a little loud some nights.bit is a great hotel of you like to be close to everything. Nice pool and outside area plenty of places to relax.

You can hear all noises from side rooms, also their toilets! Room was not clean! There was stain on towels and sheets. Kitchen is not like the image, it has everything like fridge, stove, kitchenware. But it is dirty and old. It is worth less than money you pay. Good for groups who just want somewhere for sleeping at night ;)

Sucia y las intalaciones muy descuidadas Lo.unico que rescato fue la vista a la laguna y la ubicacion . Pero si vienes con familia no es bueno por la suciedad

Wouldn’t stay here again. A leak somewhere in the shower of the room flooded my room three days during my four-day stay (one badly as the whole room was covered with water, the other two days enough to be annoying as the entrance to the room was slippery and wet, so I had to keep my shoes and suitcase above the ground just in case. I advised them multiple times but all they did was clean up the water rather than fix the problem, so it kept happening. The rooms weren’t cleaned properly - mind you it was the shared accommodation part of the hostel, but the bathrooms definitely didn’t get cleaned every day, leaving toothpaste smears and hair in the sinks and shower. Lastly, the pool was closed for a whole morning/afternoon without notice… it was the only day I had free to enjoy the facilities, so I wasn’t able to do so at all, which was inconvenient. All in all, this was the worst accommodation I’ve had in years — and I travel enough to be able to compare!

Very cute decor , only complaint is the bathroom was not cleaned very well. Location was amazing, overall would stay again.

The hotel/hostel is in a nice location in hotel zone, not far from the beach. The premise around the swimming pool is nice and the stuff in reception are friendly. The room was quite big. Unfortunately, the NEGATIVES are more! The room is 100% HUMID and smells MOLD very bad!! I couldn’t breath at the second day and I started coughing. It is impossible to open the windows, because of the mosquitos. There is nothing against them. I found a huge living cockroach in the bathroom which I killed. I have photos if you are interested. - They need a good pest control. The bedsheets have marks. Look extremely used as the most in the room. It can be noisy, but not all the times. The worst, except the humidity, on 13th February 2024 at 1:30 AM, a security guy from the stuff knock hard my door and since I didn’t reply, he OPEN IT. I woke up and scream to him and he asked “occupado?” and he left. I confronted him the next day, but he played it dumb. I felt quite unsafe during my stay there afterwards. I guess, that it is one of the cheaper options to stay in hotel zone, but I won't to do it again probably.

For the price and location you can’t go wrong. Only flaw is how dirty the bathroom is in the room. The for everyone bathrooms are definitely the way to go here

Love the place, but no personal tv or fridge in your room

No hot water, broken window, room filled with mosquitos, Blood on the alls everywhere from previous guests killing mosquitos, room was filthy, very noisy from road, clubs, and other guests until 2am, door was broken and difficult to open, close or lock, huge pool nobody used because it wasn't maintained, booking issues on their end to top it off. Cannot possibly recommend.

Extremely noisy. Non stop music till 4am. Receptionist can’t change room when I reported the issue. I asked them for refund so I could find another hotel at midnight to sleep. They promised to talk to their manager for refund or partial refund but it never happened. If you want to sleep, please avoid this unbearable hostel.

El cuarto que nos tocó es pequeño ideal para llegar a dormir ya que la zona de antros queda a 5 min a pie, solicitamos servicio de transporte al aeropuerto pero no tenían servicio.

A infraestrutura do hotel é maravilhosa, assim como o atendimento. Funcionários muito solícitos e simpáticos. Os quartos são horríveis, fedem a mofo e o chuveiro é gelado, o ar condicionado funcionava bem, e também se ouve TUDO que acontece fora do quarto, a porta do meu quarto não fechava 100%, a limpeza do quarto era boa, porém o cheiro de mofo e o banheiro deixaram a desejar, o Wi-Fi funcionava bem. Não voltaria e nem recomendaria.

The vibe is great, the staff is nice and we enjoyed the pool. It is walkable distance from the beach and the coco bongo. The room looks great, but the humidity smell was unpleasant. We had to unclog the shower head from limestone. I'm happy the pump of the shampoo bottle was not working. I had to untwist the lid and hopefully took a sniff at it first. The product had probably alien living inside. I almost throw up.If we were staying there for longer, I would have asked for assistance from the lovely staff. I’m sure they would have helped with some of the issues we experience. I’m a big fan of Salina’s hotel, this one is not on top of my list.

Hello. Selina a good deal for the money. A quiet, handy refuge from the spicy hustle of the zona strip. Has interesting array of shared facilities. Nice large clean pool. This is budget travel. Do not expect sterling plumbing fixtures. But buildings thick walls, plenty of helpful staff. Was given one, then another queen standard rooms but had to reject because were no comparison to pix in Expedia. After small debate was upgraded to very spacious, top floor, lagoon view (#8202) room. Very enjoyable for a week's stay. Was a king suite, I think. Island just offshore full of frigate birds, large white cranes. Big crocs onshore, many large iguanas, nice birds on extensive, well-kept grounds. Peaceful, natural. A great place to have a real but comfortable zona experience. Playa Forum the downtown but still beautiful heart of the zona beaches, a bare-foot, ten minute walk away. Con Dios, Steve.

위치 좋고 방 넓고 수영장도 있고 가성비 괜찮습니다 다만 방에 불이 적어서 동굴같이 어둡고 샤워기가 최악입니다 해바라기 수전 구멍이 2/3은 막혀서 물이 잘 안나와요..... 샤워기 왜 안바꾸는지ㅜㅜ

The only thing that needs fixing is the WiFi in the rooms. Everything else is great!

Loved our time a Selina Cancun Laguna. Very basic rooms but perfect for what we needed. Close proximity to supermarket and night life of coco bongo, senjor frog etc. Things that could improve our stay, a safe in private rooms, toaster in kitchen and clothes washing/ironing facilities.

Todo iba bien hasta que nos fue hurtado un reloj de la habitación. Una completa lástima, dado que nos había gustado el hotel.

The people were great! I was a little annoyed at check-in because one staff member told me before I checked in that the towel and sheet (I was in a cohabit room) required a $15 deposit, 100 pesos, or my ID. I didn't have cash at the time, so I planned on using my ID when I completed check-in. However, the person that helped me when I completed check-in said that they no longer take IDs, so I had to pay $21 in fees (more than the deposit itself!) to pull out money from the atm in the lobby. I would've taken out money somewhere else earlier if I didn't think the ID was an option... The room itself was okay. There were a lot of mosquitoes inside the room which I promptly hunted and killed. The resort was nice - pool was great and I enjoyed the common kitchen and other amenities. Overall very average experience. Some goods, some bads.

Safe, great place to stay definitely recommend a 10 out of 10 AC wasn’t working went to the front desk. They went up there to fix it as soon as possible. Amazing service.

the hotel didn't clean up my room, even if they promised to do so. I left the hotel in the morning and came back in the evening, and found out that the room was not cleaned at all. So I talked to the cleaning lady in the hallway, and they promised me to clean the room in a few minutes after I left from the hotel again; To make it safe, before I left from the hotel again, I also talked to the front desk to request the room cleaning, and I got the promise too. however, after I got back at mid night, the room was still not cleaned at all, and there was no refreshment for the towels and tissues either. When I talked to the front desk again, they said it's too late and nothing further they could do to make up the cleaning. Not only they lack the basic service to clean rooms daily, they also broke the promises that they made on the same day.

We had an amazing stay at Selina hotel. The location is great. We received an amazing service from Fernanda. We enjoyed our stay very much.

I have a really bad Experience first they offered me the hotel taxi to the Airport they changer me 700 pesos to reserve my taxi for the next day at 12pm the taxi was late i mentioned them 2 times that i got charged already 1 day before when the taxi dropped me in the Airport i give him Tips and after that he say u have to pay me the Taxi i told him his Company already charged me call the hotel and the one who answered say he don't know anything. Im wondering how many people they f... whit that trap they have not me Uber is al lot cheaper safe. Pss No internet on the Rooms

Best customer service. Gus our front desk person was awsome, he did everytning to make sure our stay was comfortable and fun. Very good !!

I had my first solo trip at this hotel, and I’m so glad I decided for this one, the place isn’t nothing luxurious, but is exactly at the best location of the hotel zone. Is literally one street from all of the clubs, including coco bongo. I did felt really safe walking by own around and at night times. The hotel is beautiful but back again nothing from the other world(:

Seguiré volviendo a Selina Zona Hotelera una y varias veces más. La ubicación es privilegiada y las habitaciones son muy cómodas.

Localização espetacular. A poucos passos dos acessos às praias públicas Caracol e Fórum e ao lado do centrinho de Cancún. Possui ótimas e confortáveis comodidades. Recomendamos!

Excelente ubicación para ir caminando a las playas y zona de antros. Hay transporte público a unos pasos. La zona me parece muy segura. Muy buena relación calidad-precio

Instalaciones muy viejas. Prometen desayuno con fruta y huevos y al llegar es una opcion o la otra, porciones pequeñas.

Nice place to stay for a week near the beach (5 mins walk). Amazing deal considering location and price. Stuff was nice and helpful. Not everything is new and sparkling but pretty clean and neat. Territory is beautiful and well taken care of. Iguanas live everywhere and this is amazing. Supermarket, restaurants, cafes are in 1-5 mins walk. Sea and public beach are spectacular. Happy hour cocktails at the hotel are pure water though, no alcohol whatsoever))

struttura completa di tutto arredi essenziali con design eco posizione ottima per il "centro" della movida di Cancun e vicina a mare, ristoranti e negozi bellissima piscina calda vista laguna, si possono vedere i caimani! adatta a giovani - no rampe per valigie - 2 braccialetti fastidiosi da indossare obbligatoriamente - colazione buona ma povera, un solo piatto a scelta. Abbiamo fame! - il sabato l'hotel diventa una discoteca con animazione e musica a tutto volume dalle 14 a notte fonda, impossibile dormire

David y Ulises especiales con su servicio en la barra amables y muy dulces no olviden siempre dejar su propina por favor, Rafael en el servicio de waiter maravilloso y te hace sentir como en casa y da una atención especial Ramón a cargo también de la cocina y/o servicio el tiki bar amable -cordial el domingo de karaoke para mi fue el día más especial nos unimos en es día personas de puerto Rico Colombia Brazil Venezuela usa Irlanda peru chile México fue una cosa increíble todos cantando unidos no importa el idioma fue espectacular para Mi la Mejor noche. No descubrí hasta el 4 día que mi adorado hotel tenía cocina para usar y compartir donde puede preparar tus alimentos y comer allí aunque les recomiendo mucho la comida del tiki bar bar como allí cada noche y el menú es increible. El check in estuvo muy tardío me demoré casi 40 min y no m dieron información valiosa sobre l chico que me todo no fue el mejor pero no puedo juzgar por eso tan mal a todos los chicos del front desk la entrada no le hace justicia porque la calle o la ubicación parece esconderlo pero cuando logras ver las instalaciones dentro te enamoras. En lo personal no me gustó mucho compartir habitaciones con desconocidos pero no me negué a la experiencia hubiera preferido que por ser mujer sola hubiera podido compartir solo con mujeres pero los chicos no tuvieron ese gesto por el contrario compartí con tres hombres dos las primeras noches y otro las últimas difícil-incómodo pero pude superarlo.

Selina está muy bien ubicado en la zona hotelera. Permite desconectarse también de la zona comercial con un ambiente cómodo, con torres de 4-5 pisos solamente y una piscina al aire libre amplia. El restaurante tiene opciones de alimentos para todos los gustos y tiene un espacio relajado para trabajar.

Hotel muito bacana, quarto espaçoso mas cheirava mofo. Não tinha agua quente durante o dia, somente a noite. O reboco do chão da piscina estava todo solto. O café da manhã péssimo! Apenas uma opção de prato, com um café ou suco... prato pequeno e não podia repetir.

El hotel está muy bien ubicado. A pocos pasos de la vida nocturna y aprox 2 cuadras de una playa pública. Las instalaciones son muy sencillas con algunos detalles decorativos “instagrameables”. El desayuno es limitado café o jugo y un plato. La comida del restaurante fue bastante decepcionante.
