Flot og hyggeligt 3 stjernet hotel. Værelserne er pæne, og personalet meget imødekommende. Eneste minus er, at der er en del larm om aftenen/natten, når man skal sove. Deres pool trænger til rengøring.

Väldigt fräscht hotell överlag. Standarden på rum och allt över förväntan då det är ett förhållandevis billigt hotell. Ganska små rum dock. Trevligt poolområde med solstolar på taket. Jättetrevlig personal. Läget ok med 5 min till t-bana och mycket restauranger i närområdet. Enda negativa var att frukosten var lite dyr så vi åt den på närliggande cafeer. Bor gärna här igen om vi åker åter till Barcelona

Lovely art deco feel to this hotel. Bit of a hike into the city centre proper but the area around was vibrant with lots of good places to eat and a stone's throw from the Avenue Diagonal. Pool is small - just for cooling down really rather than swimming- and can get busy but the whole rooftop area is delightful.

This 3 star hotel is a 5 star for me. It elegant and quirky. The decor is amazing, there is art on every wall. We took the breakfast option and it was very nice. The suite was excellent, the bed was comfy and the bathroom very nice. There is a small cold swimming pool on the top deck with amazing views of Barcelona, you can enjoy a cocktail and just chill. The only reason I didn’t give a 5 star rating for facilities was the elevators had minds of their own and sometimes worked and sometimes scared my wife half to death. The tv was useless, but you don’t go to Barcelona to watch tv, and no fan in the bathroom; petty things really. The hotel is located in a lovely part of the city that is a bit away from busy touristy areas. It is located very close to a subway, which makes visiting various city sites very easy. It is a walkable distance to several Michelin star rated restaurants. The hotel impeccably clean, and quiet, and the front desk staff is polite and helpful. The building is historic, and houses a small gallery of cartoonist Ricard Opisso, which adds to its charm. The only drawback was the "pool," which was the size of a large hot tub. It is located on the hotel roof, which is a cute spot for gathering but crowded. The "gym" was also very bare bones - essentially a small bike and treadmill in a tiny glass enclosed room. Overall, I would highly recommend it!

There was a breakdown in the elevator with me inside. It took about 40 minutes to allow me to get out of this lift where I was locked in, in a total darkness. They didn’t apologize at all. The only thing they said (since I was a very upset) was : are you claustrophobic ? And, of course, they did not offer any compensation of any kind, even not a drink ! No human response…

Concierge staff weren’t particularly friendly. The room had cobwebs on the ceiling and there was still someone else’s shaved hair in the sink. The doors have warped so you have to slam them shut. Strange smell in the bathroom. Environmentally the toilet doesn’t appear to have a half flush and the bath tap would run while the shower head was running.

Good bits - staff friendly and location. Bad bits - worst nights sleep ever, all five nights. No carpet in hallways or rooms and no insulation between rooms causing lots of noise to travel in our room. Every time someone spoke in the hallway, turned on a shower, a tap, closed a door, opened a door, flushed the toilet or dropped something you could hear it, at all hours of the night causing fatigue after 5 nights. It’s a shame as the property has potential but the lack of sleep each night did it for me. I definitely would not return unless they fix all their sound proofing and noise issues (not just my room, the whole hotel). Breakfast was okay.

The hotel is beautiful, the foyer, the staircase, the art on the walls, the restaurant, all are beautiful. My only complaint is that noise from other rooms travels through the A/C ducts and it’s very loud. I could hear ALL the conversations from next door in both the bathroom and bedroom, made me veryUncomfortable.

Our family room at Hotel Astoria was the best we've ever stayed in. Great layout - 2 single beds in one part (why don't more hotels offer single beds in family rooms?), a queen (or maybe king) size bed in another room, loads of storage, a beautiful bathroom with 2 sinks (such a good idea) and White Company toiletries, a mini-fridge and a safe, and a terrace with table and chairs.The beds were so comfy it was a struggle to wake up! WiFi good enough to keep the teen happy. The one downside about the room was the soundproofing from outside in the main bedroom - the street noise was quite loud even on the 7th floor. Didn't stop us sleeping though (those lovely beds). The housekeeping staff were very friendly, the staff on reception were a little more reserved (friendly enough, but less forthcoming). The hotel is very beautiful and smells amazing - very refreshing to come back to after a long day. The pool on the roof is more of a plunge pool than a kid's area, great for couples or teens though. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel, there's lots of food and drink places nearby. Close to Diagonal metro stop and loads of buses. We really enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful hotel! The rooms are large and very clean and comfortable. The beds a pillows were very comfortable and they had extra pillows. The staff was responsive and polite. We had a nice large attached balcony to our room which was really nice. The hotel has a lot of restaurants and bakeries walking distance. We loved Mama Babka around the corner. It has amazing pastries and excellent lattes. One small negative - our room faces the street. We could hear people walking home in the middle of the night from their festivities. The next night, I used my travel noise machine and heard nothing.

Lovely room, could have used some facial tissues. Really great, central location with excellent staff who went above and beyond. The walls are quite thin so any noise (including other room’s doors opening and closing) was very audible, waking us up daily. Otherwise, would have been a perfect stay.

Service was a little rude. I had food delivered after a long travel day and got a phone call from the front desk basically yelling at me telling me to come get the guy because he couldn’t come up to the room, which is fine…but no need to be rude about it. The rooms and hotel are pretty dated. I don’t think it’s worth the price I paid and wouldn’t return.

The staff were super nice & very accommodating. We were greeted with smiles & all of our questions were taken care of even though we did not speak the language. The girls at reception printed off maps for us & showed us how to get to where we wanted to go to meet up with our friends. Our luggage was stored safely until we were ready to leave for the airport which was such a great help to us given we were not flying home till very late this evening. Thank you to Dominico & all the desk staff for looking after us so well. We will definitely be recommending the Hotel Astoria to any friends who decide to visit Barcelona...

The girls at reception printed off maps for us & showed us how to get to where we wanted to go to meet up with our friends. Our luggage was stored safely until we were ready to leave for the airport which was such a great help to us given we were not flying home till very late this evening. Thank you to Dominico & all the desk staff for looking after us so well. We will definitely be recommending the Hotel Astoria to any friends who decide to visit Barcelona...

Overall good. Good location if you want to walk and explore the city. Also close to a metro stop, which I did not use. Staff is a bit cold and unfriendly. I asked the to call a taxi for me so i can attend a scheduled tour. After 20 minutes of waiting and two times asking if it would be faster to just walk to a taxi stand, I walked to a taxi stand and was immediately on my way. They were more concerned that they would be charged a cancelation fee than helping me. In the end, the taxi stand is only a block away and it all worked out...although I was 30 minutes late for my tour. The breakfast staff was very friendly.

The hotel is beautiful and in a very nice neighborhood. The only parking is at public lots but there are 4 lots within a block of the hotel. The hotel is within walking distance to Casa Batlló but a taxi is recommended for La Sagrada Familia.

We stayed here three nights as part of a longer trip. We thought the location was excellent, with easy walking access to a good selection of restaurants and shops. This part of the city felt safe to us, and nearby restaurants were friendly and helpful. We especially appreciated that one of the staff saw us pull up in the taxi across the street and came out to help us with our luggage. We felt like that was representative of all the staff with whom we interacted. The location also provided short taxi or subway rides to Park Güell and La Sagrada Familia. Curiously, one thing the hotel didn't have was washcloths (not a thing in European hotels, I guess). We spent €7 at a a nearby Zara Home, so easily solved. We would stay here again, and would recommend it to others.

We had a very comfortable room - the bed and pillows were amazing and we slept so well. Lovely staff and all very clean. The breakfast was excellent. We loved all the art around the hotel and it was great to have a small swimming pool on the roof top to dip in to. Only thing missing for me was tea or coffee making facilities in the bedroom. Great location in a safe neighbourhood. The metro is an 8 minute walk and there was a bus stop right outside too so good for public transport.

Great hotel and location! Wonderful amenities and the location cannot be beat. Walking distance to great restaurants and the Diagonal metro station. The rooms are a bit small but that's typical for Europe. Also has a great restaurant and bar in the lobby!

Väldigt fräscht hotell överlag. Standarden på rum och allt över förväntan då det är ett förhållandevis billigt hotell. Ganska små rum dock. Trevligt poolområde med solstolar på taket. Jättetrevlig personal. Läget ok med 5 min till t-bana och mycket restauranger i närområdet. Enda negativa var att frukosten var lite dyr så vi åt den på närliggande cafeer. Bor gärna här igen om vi åker åter till Barcelona

This 3 star hotel is a 5 star for me. It elegant and quirky. The decor is amazing, there is art on every wall. We took the breakfast option and it was very nice. The suite was excellent, the bed was comfy and the bathroom very nice. There is a small cold swimming pool on the top deck with amazing views of Barcelona, you can enjoy a cocktail and just chill. The only reason I didn’t give a 5 star rating for facilities was the elevators had minds of their own and sometimes worked and sometimes scared my wife half to death. The tv was useless, but you don’t go to Barcelona to watch tv, and no fan in the bathroom; petty things really.
