Communication via email even before check-in was consistently prompt and helpful. Check-in was smooth and front desk staff was very accommodating and answered our questions clearly and confidently, especially Keoghan. The room was big and very clean. Amenities are impeccable -- complete kitchen paraphernalia with dining table, toilet bidet system, shower stall, closet with lots of hangers, there's even a shoe horn. Towels were replaced every day and room was cleaned on the 4th day. Family Mart was just right next door, Matsuya just across and open 24/7. The subway stations are just steps away. Many restaurants are walking distance. Of course, Mise Street and Sensoji temple are close by. There's a laundry room on the 2nd floor, you don't have to put laundry detergent since the washer is auto-filled with it. Just need to put (4) 100 yen coins and the washer starts. For the dryer, put a 100 yen coin for every 30 minutes of drying time. When we return to Japan, will book Mimaru again.

Excellent location. Literally 10 steps to Asakusa station. Staff was excellent. Spoke English and very down to earth. Great rooftop area for Skytree and Sumida river. Excellent laundry facilities. Family Mart right next door. Located on quiet side of Asakusa but super close to all the attractions. Will definitely stay again for next trip.

Great location, kitchen was well equipped and you could borrow appliances (like rice cooker or toaster etc). There was a kombini next door, and loads of places to eat in the area. There was coin laundry services and filtered water on site.

This Mimaru was perfect. The staff was so incredibly friendly and helpful, I wish I could do the entire review about them. The hotel was also steps away from the train station so you couldn’t ask for a better location. The dining options were endless and convenience stores directly downstairs were great for the jet lag 3am food runs. The hotel was very clean and was equipped with everything you might need in the room. They also offered games and other items for free rental but we didn’t take advantage of that. The coin laundry was great and convenient and the rooftop terrace was a nice perk. We were traveling with two small children (1 and 5) and this hotel was beyond perfect. I wish we could have stayed longer.

Pros: - Spacious, clean, well-equipped, comfortable room - Plenty of shopping and F&B choices around - Friendly and helpful staff - Do try out the eatery across the road opposite the main entrance of the apartment. Food was really tasty and very affordable. Opens 5am - 2am. Cons: - There is only 1 lift, and it may take quite abit of wait for the lift to arrive, especially in the morning when most residents are heading out for the day. - The laundry machines are quite dirty (heavily used), perhaps can consider bringing your laundry to nearby laundromat instead.

Our family had a wonderful stay at the Mimaru. The rooms were very spacious and location was unbeatable. The rooftop terrace was a wonderful place to unwind after a day of sightseeing. We had a group of 36 and the hotel was very accommodating with storing everyone's luggage on our checkout day. Would highly recommend!

Great location & close to the train station. Family mart right next door. Laundry onsite but NOT in the room. Dryer does take over an hour and with multiple people using it, it can be a wait. Staff was super helpful.

Very spacious considering it’s in Tokyo. Only concerns were the slow elevator and the room kinda smells weird. Other than that, it’s in the very very convenient location, walking distance to everything.

Great apartment hotel. Really spacious and clean room. Very conveniently located near Asakusa Station and the temple. They have a family mart just a step from their front door. Staff are really great in explaining and fluent in English too!

I wouldn’t stay here again due to the cleaning. They tell you they do a proper clean every second day and just the beds/bins on the other days. This is fine, but they do such a lazy job. Any trash that won’t fit in the bin is left on the floor (eg coffee cup). On their proper clean days they didn’t wipe down any surfaces so we had to go and buy a cloth/spray to clean the table. We have a baby so asked where we could put nappies as we didn’t want them in the room for long. They gave us a nappy bin but not once did it get emptied! So we had to find a public bin which if you’ve ever been to Tokyo you’ll know is not easy. Other annoyances… - The drains stink (bathroom and toilet both smelt weird the entire stay) - My husband and mother both found the beds very hard and uncomfortable. (I wasn’t bothered). - Only one elevator so long waits at times - Coin laundry isn’t great, need 2-3 washes to actually clean anything The location is good if you want to see the Asakusa area. Lots of food nearby. But it is not convenient if you’re planning to explore the other side of Tokyo (Ikebukuro, Shibuya, Shinjuku etc). Asakusa is a subway station, not a train station so you need to transfer to get to most of the other main tourist areas and it does take a while. Room has very efficient use of space and we felt the layout was great for a family of five. We made good use of the kitchen and dining area and the kids loved the bunk beds. Location is also great being so close to dtations and the hotel staff was very responsive, friendly and helpful.

The location was excellent in being able to go to the Sky Tree, Senso-Ji and more. Amenities were nice and staff were friendly. My only challenge was our room faced the street and the street can be loud with sirens etc as it is a busy road. Otherwise perfect place!

Great property to stay for a family of four. Room size is great for the Tokyo area and kitchenette was excellent with a good size fridge. 2 min from Senso-ji. Ginza line is right outside hotel. Tokyo Sky Tree views. Tons of food options nearby. Konbini everywhere and Family Mart just next door.

Me and my two children loved this hotel. Friendly staff, clean, spacious, laundry on site, conbini downstairs, steps from subway. Our only complaint is that the beds were too firm for our preference. We would stay here again without hesitation!

We stayed in a one bedroom with view. The view was indeed terrific and there was plenty of space, and the location was great. That said, the separate bedroom with the bunk beds has no window and can only be reached by walking through the first bedroom, which itself has no door, so there isn't great privacy in this suite type and if you need more you should get a two-bedroom instead. The hotel staff are helpful, but it has very minimal service—not a big deal when there's a convenience store next door. The hotel laundry was convenient though they warned us it can get busy in the evenings. The walk along the river just outside was a great place to run and shopping streets and Senso-ji were down the block, and the station was right outside. Note that it is a schlep to some of the other classic tourist neighborhoods like Shibuya and Shinjuku, but a great base for a first visit to Tokyo if you imagine making others in future or if you want to split your stay across two neighborhoods.

Loved our stay here. It was perfect for our family of three but big enough space for four. It was so nice to have a kitchenette and sitting area and they had self service laundry which was so helpful. The staff were amazing all around. Location in Asakusa was awesome right outside train station.

Staff was friendly. Kitchen was well equipped with plates, utensils and cookware. Fridge was big enough and quiet. Room was spacious compared to other hotels I’ve stayed at. Location is prime, familymart was right below the hotel and opened 24/7 with 7-11 right across the street. They spoke English and was so helpful with luggage service. Definitely recommend!

Great location and super friendly and helpful staff but the rooms are overpriced for what you get. Nowhere to store any baggage or clothes which, when the room is designed for 4 people, is a little unrealistic. And all looking a bit tired.

Communication via email even before check-in was consistently prompt and helpful. Check-in was smooth and front desk staff was very accommodating and answered our questions clearly and confidently, especially Keoghan. The room was big and very clean. Amenities are impeccable -- complete kitchen paraphernalia with dining table, toilet bidet system, shower stall, closet with lots of hangers, there's even a shoe horn. Towels were replaced every day and room was cleaned on the 4th day. Family Mart was just right next door, Matsuya just across and open 24/7. The subway stations are just steps away. Many restaurants are walking distance. Of course, Mise Street and Sensoji temple are close by. There's a laundry room on the 2nd floor, you don't have to put laundry detergent since the washer is auto-filled with it. Just need to put (4) 100 yen coins and the washer starts. For the dryer, put a 100 yen coin for every 30 minutes of drying time. When we return to Japan, will book Mimaru again.

We stayed in a one bedroom with view. The view was indeed terrific and there was plenty of space, and the location was great. That said, the separate bedroom with the bunk beds has no window and can only be reached by walking through the first bedroom, which itself has no door, so there isn't great privacy in this suite type and if you need more you should get a two-bedroom instead. This Mimaru was perfect. The staff was so incredibly friendly and helpful, I wish I could do the entire review about them. The hotel was also steps away from the train station so you couldn’t ask for a better location. The dining options were endless and convenience stores directly downstairs were great for the jet lag 3am food runs. The hotel was very clean and was equipped with everything you might need in the room. They also offered games and other items for free rental but we didn’t take advantage of that. The coin laundry was great and convenient and the rooftop terrace was a nice perk. We were traveling with two small children (1 and 5) and this hotel was beyond perfect. I wish we could have stayed longer.

Location is prime, familymart was right below the hotel and opened 24/7 with 7-11 right across the street. They spoke English and was so helpful with luggage service. Definitely recommend!

Hotel is in a great location. Plenty of restaurants and convenience stores nearby. Metro station right at the corner. The rooms and facilities were very clean. Nice size rooms. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Special thanks to Shiva the manager and Christie at the front desk. Thank you for holding our luggage for us while we visited Kyoto for a few days. Also, very appreciative that you let us keep one of our rooms for a late check out. This allowed my elderly mom to rest until it was time to head to the airport. Great hotel and location and the staff really makes this hotel amazing!

Huge thanks to Miyuki and Moka for assisting us with setting up taxis, keeping the luggage for us post check out. We love the kitchenette and the basic cooking utensils. The place is squeaking clean and quiet. It is only about 5-10 minutes’ walk to the busy shopping centers and restaurants. Our room has a street view, allowing us people- watching even at 1-2 o’clock in the morning. We enjoyed the stay and the surrounding activities this hotel provides. Excellent location. Literally 10 steps to Asakusa station. Staff was excellent. Spoke English and very down to earth. Great rooftop area for Skytree and Sumida river. Excellent laundry facilities. Family Mart right next door. Located on quiet side of Asakusa but super close to all the attractions. Will definitely stay again for next trip.

The hotel was centrally located to the Ginza and Asakusa Lines. One minute walk to Gina line. This made it very easy to get around Tokyo. The staff was very nice and helpful and answered questions we had. The room was clean and big enough for a family of 4 adults. Family Mart was downstairs. I will be coming back on my next stay to Tokyo.

Stayed here for 5 nights and found the location to be extremely convenient as it is just 3 mins walk to the popular Nakamise shopping street. Plenty of food options in this area. Hotel staff we interacted with all spoke good English. An excellent location to stay if you wish to explore Tokyo by metro/subway. We had strollers with us so it was great that there was an exit across the road from the hotel that had elevator.

I wouldn’t stay here again due to the cleaning. They tell you they do a proper clean every second day and just the beds/bins on the other days. This is fine, but they do such a lazy job. Any trash that won’t fit in the bin is left on the floor (eg coffee cup). On their proper clean days they didn’t wipe down any surfaces so we had to go and buy a cloth/spray to clean the table. We have a baby so asked where we could put nappies as we didn’t want them in the room for long. They gave us a nappy bin but not once did it get emptied! So we had to find a public bin which if you’ve ever been to Tokyo you’ll know is not easy. Other annoyances… - The drains stink (bathroom and toilet both smelt weird the entire stay) - My husband and mother both found the beds very hard and uncomfortable. (I wasn’t bothered). - Only one elevator so long waits at times - Coin laundry isn’t great, need 2-3 washes to actually clean anything The location is good if you want to see the Asakusa area. Lots of food nearby. But it is not convenient if you’re planning to explore the other side of Tokyo (Ikebukuro, Shibuya, Shinjuku etc). Great location near Sensoji temple and restaurants. Property is very clean and spacious. Staff are very friendly. Next to subways also. Across from the hotel is a small local but great restaurant which opens 24 hours. The hotel is next to Farmart and across from 7-Eleven. Would definitely stay here again the next time we visit Tokyo.

This hotel was in the perfect location, great for a family with small children. We visited alot of Tokyo but still enjoyed spending time around Asakusa. The train was right there, as was Tokyo Cruise for transport, as was 7/11 and Family Mart for convenient food options. We were able to catch the train directly to the airport without changing lines. The hotel itself and the staff we could not fault. Would definitely stay here again.

Like all Mimarus, they offer a spacious apt perfect for a family of 4, bunk beds for the kids and separate beds for parents. Kitchenette with small fridge and freezer for snacks and drinks (and meals for the more ambitious), and a small dining/hangout area with table. Clean. Soundproofing was great as well - didn't hear any neighbors during our stay, and hopefully they didn't hear our kids... Staff is super helpful and spoke English. They offer luggage delivery via "Airporter" service. Coin laundry available on their reception floor. Location is literally steps away from the Ginza line, and just across the street from Asakusa Station and Ekimise (department store) with wonderful food/bento options in the basement (ltd restaurant options also on top floor). Famima RIGHT next door. Really close to Nakamise dori and the Kaminarimon and Sensoji Temple. Location is superb. We had a great view of the Asahi building across the river and Skytree behind that. TLDR: really wonderful apt hotel for a family of 4, location can't be beat for local attractions and proximity to public transport.

Location is literally steps away from the Ginza line, and just across the street from Asakusa Station and Ekimise (department store) with wonderful food/bento options in the basement (ltd restaurant options also on top floor). Famima RIGHT next door. Really close to Nakamise dori and the Kaminarimon and Sensoji Temple. Location is superb. We had a great view of the Asahi building across the river and Skytree behind that. TLDR: really wonderful apt hotel for a family of 4, location can't be beat for local attractions and proximity to public transport.

Staff was friendly. Kitchen was well equipped with plates, utensils and cookware. Fridge was big enough and quiet. Room was spacious compared to other hotels I’ve stayed at. Location is prime, familymart was right below the hotel and opened 24/7 with 7-11 right across the street. They spoke English and was so helpful with luggage service. Definitely recommend!

Very helpfull staff, detailed cleaning every 2nd day. Great location, close to restaurants, 7/11, Temple, just next to Asakusa metro station. Great running possibilities along Sumida River. Only 18 min walk to Skytree tower. Front desk personal is not at the hotel after 22. Very comfortable beds. Ok size room for 4 people.
