APA Hotel Higashi Shinjuku Kabukicho

It was clean and very accessible. Staff were very accommodating and helpful for my group. We had to ship our luggage to Osaka for the second leg of our trip and the staff helped us complete all our luggage forms. However there is no in-unit laundry in the hotel

Basic hotel but comfortable enough. My room's window was frosted and had only a view of a building very close in front, but this made it super quiet. Only real complaint was a single small elevator, which was maddening in the morning. Not really adequate for the size of the building. A bit far from public transport as well. Super helpful staff, though

Leider sehr kleine Zimmer, Lage sehr gut aber es gibt wenig Sitzmöglichkeiten im Zimmer, in der Lobby gar keine. Insgesamt aber gut. Mehr Platz für Gepäck im Zimmer wäre klasse. Wir hatten freundlicherweise ein ruhiges Zimmer.

Next to the metro (12-15min walk) so very convenient to explore all areas of Tokyo and you can walk anywhere within Shinjuku. Laundry facilities are available but there are only two washing machines for the entire hotel so there may be a long wait during busier times. I did not have much interaction with staff but they seemed friendly at the check-in desk.

Rede de hotel enorme, tanto que tem mais dois a poucas quadras de distância. O lugar até parece bonito a princípio, mas o quarto precisa de reparos, o acumulo de sujeira no corredor não ajuda muito na boa impressão, só tem um elevador e com isso demora para atender nos horários mais cheios, e o colchão é muito mole (para meu gosto) e fica até parecendo irregular, o que me deixou com um pouco de dor nas costas. No restante, está ok, tem uma ótima localizaçao, preço condizente com a região e boa relação custo benefício. Ah, aparentemente não deixam que ninguém faça check in antes das 15:00hs, mesmo que o quarto esteja disponível. Cheguei as 14 hs e não consegui entrar e tinha uma quantidade considerável de malas na recepção de pessoas que as deixaram para passear enquanto não estava liberado.

Bath tub so small that shower water comes out, rooms are too small to 2 people which I booked. Overall a very tiny place and only one elevator, so one has to wait a lot for this 12 story small rooms hotel. I won’t recommend this to anyone with a family.

The overall experience was wonderful. The hotel is very clean, staff is very friendly and professional, location of hotel is a great hub to get around various areas with ease, and did a great job cleaning, providing basic essentials (towels, razor, toothbrush,.. etc). We transitioned and adjusted very quickly in our stay at Tokyo. Highly recommend

It's very unfortunate that I have to give this property a negative review. On my 2nd stay at this property, right before I left the room to check out, I scanned the room thoroughly because I didn't want to leave any belonging behind. I found a used condom package on the floor by the corner of the bed (not under the bed but beside the foot of the bed near the window curtain). And it definitely was not mine. It was so gross! Housekeeping definitely needs a huge improvement! The hotel is located in an area that is very noisy; siren noise from police cars and emergency vehicles was very frequent (on both of my stays). The rooms are tiny, super cramped. I stayed in 2 different rooms for both of my stays (I went to Kyoto in between the 2 stays at this hotel). Bathroom amenities are great though, colour coded for 2 people. Subway stations are either an 8-10 min walk or 12-15 min walk.

This property is at the footsteps of the red light district. There are 4 different apa hotels on the same street so it’s impossible to know which one you have booked because the pictures all look the same for the hotels. We stayed here with young children and it felt very unsafe and uncomfortable to walk around the area at night. Additionally our room carpet was heavily stained and the room itself was a micro sized room. The hotel has only one elevator which can get very busy. I would not stay here again or at other apa chains given this experience.

Amazing specially the bathroom. Modern and very clean. Small but beautiful functional. Just perfect. Anything else is vanity

I haf a good stay here! The room was small, but very clean and gave you just the amount of space you needed (especially if you won't be in the room often due to exploring). The breakfast was very yummy for a minimal fee. Staff was kind and very helpful. You can request to have your room cleaned each day, and the cleaning was very good. The location of this hotel is optimal...close to entertainment, food, and all the buzz of Shinjuku. It is not the quietest place due to Shinjuku's night life, but I didn't find the outside sounds to be problematic. Note: there are LOTS of APA Hotels in the area! So that can make it a bit tricky finding your correct hotel...but they are all within walking distance of each other, so course correcting if you do get mixed up isn't too bad.

Good location. Walkable to Shinjuku Center, Shinjuku Station and subway stations. Rooms are very small with no closet space or even a drawer to store clothes. No room for suitcases either.

The room was very small, I mean very very small. When you have two suitcases it’s not a practical choice. I’m sure the dimensions were accurate, but nevertheless the reality was surprisingly awkward, our fault no doubt. The breakfast was very disappointing though, only had it for the first two mornings. Mostly over cooked unfortunately.

Great stay, good service, clean room, good price. The only thing is that there is no individual temperature control in the rooms, a fan was given to us to deal with the high temperature issue

Room was small but standard for Japan. Make sure you check which APA you’re at because there are multiple APAs that are next to each other that isn’t actually your hotel. Otherwise, had a pleasant stay. Great location and amenities!

Convenient location close to lots of restaurants and shopping, not to mention a nice park, among other things. The staff wasn’t all the best at English, but were still very helpful and friendly all the same.

This was a fantastical hotel for my 8 day stay. It was very clean. The staff were great! They speak English, they're friendly, helpful, and very courteous. Checking in and out was easy, simple, and straightforward. The cleaning staff were also great! Since I stayed consecutive nights, they cleaned my room on a schedule without hurting the environment. They would leave an amenities package at my door conveniently hung whenever I returned from my day's outing. The room was great and more than I needed. Very clean and was kept clean. Remarkable toilet with bidet. TV with free VOD for those times in between. Nice comfy bed and pillows with very convenient lighting control with digital clock.Also had a nice little fridge to store my drinks that I bought and barely drank. There are 2 stations nearby with quick ease and access to the Yamanote Line, Oedo Line, or Fukutoshin Line to get where you need around Tokyo. There's lots of food and convenience stores around as well! It's very quiet in the mornings but quite lively later into the day and night as well as being near Kabukicho. This was an overall fantastic and awesome experience. This was the perfect place for my solo travel. This met my every need and expectations. I can't stress how great the room was for myself, location and access to where I wanted to go, the hospitality of the staff, and cleanliness. Great job! Would highly recommend and repeat!

The room was cleaned everyday, staff super friendly and helpful. We were also able to leave our bags after checkout. Would recommend!

Staff were very helpful and polite.They assisted me in calling for a taxi also they are friendly.

We got an email asking us to confirm our reservation the day before by 12am or else they will cancel our reservation. It also asked us to give them an estimated arrival time and if we don’t make it they might cancel our reservation. So we had to rush and get there by the estimated time we told them. And by the time we got there, they said it’s before 3pm and if we want to check in early then we have to pay additional. It’s not easy to stick to the schedule when you are traveling and exploring the city. The communication with the hotel made the trip unpleasant.

Terrible service. Had to leave at 5am to catch the moning train but Front office staff do not offer any help in getting cab and kept saying that the earliest time they can call for a cab is at 6am!

I like the hotel, I would stay again. Just know that its near the kabuchiko district where theres scam bars and people that harass you. It is technically outside of this area but really close

Great property near the Shinjuku strip area, many shops, food options, bars nightlife all within walking distance. Subway and buses within 5-10 min walk

The property is a very long way from the main Shinjuku station. There are other trains nearby, but often a 20-minute walk to Shinjuku is needed. The rooms are tiny but tidy. On our second day nobody came to clean one of our two rooms. There are four APA hotels within a block of each other. We went to the wrong one, because it had the same name, but with ‘tower’ after the name.

There’s not much nearby but a short walk away from the hustle and bustle of Shinjuku and Shin Okubo. Also a bit far from the train stations. If you can opt for the APA’s near the station as taxis can get hefty in Tokyo. Otherwise I didn’t mind about the place. It’s average for 100$ per night but then again it’s also Tokyo.

I’d never stayed at Apa before. Was pleasantly surprised at this one. Quick check in, clean western style room. Full amenities. The breakfast was delicious.right outside of Kabukicho so it was fun to pop over for dinner and sights.

Close proximity to a station and a 20 minutes walk to Shinjuku Station. Good Breakfast options. However it is difficult to locate at first due to the number of APA Hotels within the vicinity.

Very nice hotel with a MOST excellent breakfast. Only disappointment was the 88 degree F room temp upon entry. Paperwork said it was controlled by hotel and to ask for a fan if hot. Front desk said to come down and pick up fan myself. Not english speaking staff so hard to communicate but finally realized she was informing me that there was a button somewhere. Room thermostat was in characters but pushed buttons until AC came on. For the price, this should be more conveinent for english speakers.
