Hotel Residence am Hauptbahnhof

Selve værelset var udemærket. Der var plads til os alle og rent og nydeligt. Elevatoren går fra førstesalen og er meget lille. Morgenmaden er på ingen måde pengene værd, køb hellere ved bageren overfor. Vi havde læst at hotellet nå på en gade med mange misbrugere og hjemløse, men vi var ikke forberedt på hvor meget råben, udrykning og slåskampe der ville være. Det ved utrygt at gå i gaden og vi gik den anden vej rundt for at komme til stationen. Parkeringen ligger 3 min på gå ben fra hotellet men fungere fint. Den er svær at finde første gang.

Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, der Parkplatz finde ich mit 20 Euro zu teuer. Aber ansonsten war alles im großen und ganzen für den Preis okay

Für 2Tage ok. Die Umgebung des Hotels ist gewöhnungsbedürftig, wer aber Hamburg kennt weiß das. Nettes Personal. Für gehbehinderte Menschen nicht geeignet, da am Eingang hohe Stufen und kein Geländer.Zur 1.Etage sind erstmal nur Stufen,dann kommt ein Fahrstuhl.

Room was only accessible by climbing over 40 steps, even though hotel is listed as having an elevator.

Hamburg merkez tren ve otobüs garına yürüyerek 5 dakika mesafede olduğu için konumu fiyatına göre mükemmel. Bulunduğu sokak market lokanta, berber vs esnafların bulunduğu bir sokak olduğundan kalabalık. Sokağın başında Türk lokantası var çorba içebilirsiniz. Şubat başında 1 gece kaldığımız oteli sadece uyumak ve kahvaltı için kullandık, dolayısıyla otel çevresinin vasatlığından şikayet etmedik. Arka cepheye bakan oda istedik, gürültü yoktu. Asansörü küçük ve güven vermiyordu. İlk kata kadar bavulları merdivenden kendimiz çıkarmanız gerekti. Sonra dar koridorlardan diğer binaya geçip asansöre bindik. Odada yerler halıfleks kaplıydı ve bir miktar eski halı ve mobilya kokusu vardı. Kaloriferler üzerindeki vanadan açılıp kapanıyordu, gittiğimizde kapalıydı, açtık kısa sürede ateş gibi oldu, ısınma sorunu olmadı. Banyo temizdi, sıcak su vardı. Kahvaltılı rezervasyon yapmıştık, Çok çeşit yok ama aç kalmadık. Lüks aramıyorsanız sorun olmaz. Sonuç olarak otel odasını sadece geceleri uyumak için kullanacaksanız konum ve fiyat avantajı nedeniyle tavsiye ederim. Tekrar gitsem kalırım. Lüks arıyorsanız hayal kırıklığı yaşayabilirsiniz.

Friendly staff but the hotel is very old, unkempt, no elevator on the ground floor. The area did not seem safe, extremely loud at all times of the day.

Wichtig für Leute mit Beeinträchtigungen der Beine: Der Lift ist nur über eine schwierige Treppe im 1. Stock zu erreichen, nicht aus dem Erdgeschoss!

The room was close to the main train station and was clean and sufficient. That was what we needed. However, there was no elevator to the floor where rooms could be accessed. We had to carry two large, heavy suitcases up a very long, narrow staircase, and back down.

Für den Preis bekommt man in anderen Städten weitaus höherwertige Hotels. Achtung für Menschen mit körperlicher Einschränkung: Der Fahrstuhl ist erst ab der 1. Etage erreichbar. Dorthin gelangt man nur über eine steile Treppe. Für eine Nacht war es OK.

Jag bad (vid bokningen) om ett tyst rum, med så lite oljud utifrån som möjligt. Och det var precis vad jag fick, så jag är nöjd. Emellertid vet jag inte hur de som fick rum som vette mot livliga gatan Steindamm hade det med "tystheten", så om tysthet är viktigt - be om ett rum med fönster mot baksidan av Steindamm. Rummet var lagom storlek för ensamresenär och städningen sköttes perfekt. Också bra att det fanns värdeförvaringsskåp på rummet för endast 5€ för hela vistelsen. Hiss saknades trots att det står att det ska finnas. Inget jag hade problem med, men andra skulle kanske ha det?

Das Hotel hat ein sehr gutes Preis Leistungsverhältnis. Freundliches Personal. das Zimmer war sauber und es gab jeden Tag Room Service. Die Zimmer waren etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber wie gesagt sauber. Dusche hat problemlos funktioniert. WLAN gab es auch. Die Umgebung war halt das Bahnhofsviertel, ähnlich wie in anderen großen Städten, aber ich hab mich nicht unsicher gefühlt. Man ist schnell am Bahnhof und schnell in der Stadt. Sehr praktisch. Würde dort wieder einchecken.

Zusätzlich herrschte ein muffiger, unangenehmer Geruch. Als wäre das nicht genug, gab es in der Dusche kein warmes Wasser. Besonders enttäuschend war der Umgang des Personals mit den Beschwerden. Nachdem wir die Mängel angesprochen hatten, hieß es lediglich, es sei „alles in Ordnung“. Das Personal war zwar im Zimmer, behauptete jedoch, nichts riechen zu können und keinen Mangel festzustellen. Obwohl nachweislich andere Zimmer frei waren, wurde nicht einmal versucht, uns ein anderes Zimmer anzubieten oder eine Lösung zu finden. Für den Zustand des Zimmers ist der Preis absolut nicht gerechtfertigt. Ich würde hier auf keinen Fall wieder buchen und kann das Hotel niemandem empfehlen. Gefrühstückt habe ich dort nicht, dazu kann ich also nichts sagen. Ich wollte einfach nur noch abreisen. Insgesamt bin ich sehr enttäuscht, vor allem weil keinerlei Entgegenkommen oderLösungsbereitschaft gezeigt wurde.

Zimmer waren leider nicht so sauber. Essen zum Frühstück Aufbackbrötchen und die Bank unbequem durchgesessen.

The street and area that the hotel is in seems very dodgy and noisy. The hotel is close to the main station and the main bus station. The staff at reception seemed to reflect the area. The person handling our check-in could not speak English and his German was barely understandable. The room was large, comfortable and clean. There are steep stairs up to the first floor, where one can (sometimes) catch an elevator to the next floor. Not recommended for anyone with hip-knee problems. The first day the elevator also did not seem to work. The bathroom was clean and functional, though some of the towels were so threadbare that I could have pushed my finger through some areas. The television only had three channels - 2 German shopping channels and Al Jazeera. The general impression of the place is tiredness. There were stains in the basin, the one bed lamp cover had holes in it, there were small holes in the duvet cover. Despite having a room facing onto the street, we did not experience the noise and commotion that other guests seem to have encountered. Our room was quiet, but we made sure to be back in the room before nightfall, as we would not have felt comfortable in the area after dark.

Das Personal ist sehr bemüht und wirklich sehr freundlich. Das Zimmer ist sauber, aber die Ausstattung ist trilweise nicht funktiontüchtig TV =kein Empfang, Fusche nicht in Ordnung. Der Flur ist dreckig. St. Georg wird immer schlimmer!!!

Hvis du bare skal have overnatning og ikke forventer mere, er det fint. Der var super rent, men ikke nyt. Flinke og rare folk. Brug deres parkering 3 min derfra, det vil jeg anbefale.

kleines, sauberes Zimmer, neuwertiges Bad, Fenster zum öffnen.. schön im Sommer, Ausblick Hinterhof, dafür in der Nacht leise trotz City- Lage

Viel Straßenlärm

The hotel is close to Hamburg Central Station. This was the only good thing about it. I booked a single room of 258 sq. feet with a king bed. I received a single room with two single beds. I pointed out to the front desk that this was not what I booked. They responded that I booked a single room, and they are giving me two single beds, which is better than one single bed. Thermostat in the shower didn’t work and there was no hot water. The staff came to the room and tried to adjust the temperature. After some time, they said that water is OK. Water temperature was about 30 C. I told them that this is barely warm. They asked: “so you want hot water in the shower?”. I said: “yes, this is normal at a hotel”. The staff left to the “warehouse” to adjust something. In any case, there was no hot water as of midnight. In the morning, I called the front desk again. Housekeeping staff managed to fiddle with the thermostat and make somewhat warm water. However, when I reopened water on the same setting, it was cold again. It is a simple thermostat, so it should be easy to use. But the temperature adjusting handle was not working well. It seems it was not properly engaged to the internal element. Anyway, I never managed to have a regular hot shower (with the setting on the limiter) The staff also didn’t speak good English. Generally, it was the worst hotel stay in my life, and I have been to many hotels. A wrong bed in a smaller room, without hot shower is too much for one stay.

The hotel offers the basic amenities for a comfortable night's stay: comfortable bed, cleaning bedding, nice pillow, blackout curtains, a television (I did not turn mine on so I cannot comment on the channels), a hot shower, a modern toilet, bath and hand towels, hand soap and body gel dispensers, a floor mat, hand towel and bath towel, luggage storage including a large cabinet with hangers and shelving, a writing desk and chair, a bedside table with a lamp, sufficient lighting in the room, an electronic safe, tourist maps and information in the hallway, and, finally, friendly and helpful staff. I was allowed early check-in. There is a medium-sized supermarket 50 metres from the hotel called Penny, which was very handy. It's a 5 minute walk to the train station. The hotel offers breakfast for a few, but I did not utilize the service. The surrounding area is a bit seedy (many homeless and presumed drug addicts), however I was never bothered by anyone during my stay. Overall, a good and very budget friendly stay here!

Konnten meine Buchung nicht finden, unflexibel beim einchecken, da bin ich was anderes gewohnt und nicht freundlich

Wenn du Billig buchst, bekommst du billig!!! Tieftes Hamburg Ghetto. Personal ist Unfreundlich und lässt uns Ältere Leute die Koffer im 2e Stock schleppen. Hotel ist verwnkelt und unübersichtlicher

Hätten Sie schon bei der Buchungsbestätigung mich informiert, daß ab 19.00 im Residence die Rezeption geschlossen ist, und hätten Sie mich informiert, daß ca. 100 Meter weiter im Hotel Terminus die Rezepzion auch für Residence zuständig ist, wäre alles gut gewesen. So stand ich im Regen vor dem Nachteingang, suchte verzweifelt nach einer Telefonnummer. Auf der Buchungsbestätigung NIX!!! Endlich auf der Internetseite des Hotels die Telefonnummer gefunden. Zwischendurch immer von Pennern angesprochen, die um einen Euro baten (die Gegend ist in der Dunkelheit suspekt, aber dafür kann das Hotel nichts....). Dann ging alles schnell. Das Zimmer und Bad sehr in Ordnung. Im Zimmer das internet eingeschaltet, sah ich Ihre Mail mit den Angaben zu Terminus. Ansonsten SEHR zufrieden. Sehr gutes Preis - Leisungsverhältnis Komme gerne wieder, lage für Bahnreisende optimal...

Stayed in Hamburg for a football weekend to go to a couple of matches. We hired a triple room which was perfect for our needs. Great clean hotel, easy to find in a central location a few minutes walk from the station. Area was OK but a lot of homeless people wandering about but there didn't hassle us, may put families off though. All in all a great find and will be staying here again on our next football trip.

Perfect location when arriving by train easy access to metro.

The street where the hotel was was slum. It was filled with homeless people and junkies. Pictures of the hotel is lying. There was no safe parking of the car. Maybe the worst street in Hamburg. The hotel should not be on hotels.com.

Eine angemessene Qualität für einen guten Preis. Die Lage ist direkt am Bahnhof, deswegen sehr praktisch, wenn man einen früheren Zug nimmt. Aber wenn man spät oder zu früh ankommt/abreist, würde ich nicht allein im hotel bleiben bzw. in der Umgebung laufen, da die Straße da auch in der Nacht "lebt". Das stört den Aufenthalt im Hotel nicht, es ist halt die Umgebung. Trotzdem vielen Dank!

Die Zimmer waren sauber, wir haben gut geschlafen. Frühstück war okay. Lage war für unsere Zwecke in Ordnung, ist aber für andere sehr gewöhnungsbedürftig, multikulti, armut und Prostitution auf dieser Straße.

Zentrale Lage Hbf. Älteres Haus, aber erstaunlich gut gepflegt, sehr aufmerksame Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption.angemessenes Frühstück. Empfehlenswert

Ligger i et snusket kvarter, men for en overnatning ok, ikke for længere ophold. Meget slidte værelser. Morgenbuffe var god

Das Haus machte insgesamt einen ungepflegten Eindruck, Zimmer über eine steile Treppe zu erreichen, mit Gepäck beschwerlich. Die Gegend ist ebenfalls gewöhnungsbedürftig, eben "hinterm Bahnhof". Frühstück sehr einfach, Rührei kalt, wurden erst nach mehrfacher Bitte um frisches dann in der Mikrowelle! aufgewärmt, nein danke!
