Overall, the hotel was a great place to stay while visiting the nearby state parks. The hotel was clean and the staff was accommodating and friendly. A few areas that could use improvement - the pancake machine was not working at breakfast and the hot foods were not getting replaced timely even though there was 45 minutes before breakfast ended. Secondly, while the hot tub was hot, the jets were not working. We were really looking forward to a soak after a day of hiking in the rain. Also, there was a foul odor in the hallway (2nd floor). It was not noticeable once we were inside the room, but could smell it immediately once we got to the floor.

I was told I had a hot tub in room and got here and they took them out over 3 years ago. Other then that the rooms were nice and clean the pool is small and the hot tub was out of Sirvice we still enjoyed our time but was disappointed

The pool water smelled, the 3rd day stay we attempt to get room cleaned . We took sign off our door , notified front desk we wanted our room cleaned around 10:00 am. Front desk said they would notify the maid service. Come back at 4:00 to see nothing had be done. Notify front desk and they said they attempt to but there was a sign on our door stating do not touch. We took sign off be for leaving and notifying the front desk. They blamed us

The lodges in the area are great but more pricey, this is a decent price in comparison with the resort lodges but a bit much for a traditional hotel. This is our best place to stay however we were disappointed this visit with the cleanliness when we first arrived and no one ever cleaned our room while we stayed. Breakfast service was a little disappointing also machines broken not much variety. Staff is always exceptional. Kudos.

Not impressed with this extended stay. I have stayed at several over the years in many different states and Upon check in the staff member was arguing with a guy that booked this hotel for his birthday because of jet tub in his room there was no jet tub . We were also told that the hot tub was not working hasn’t been for awhile. The staff member was rude to my family when they brought their baggage in. She told my sister she was giving her anxiety. When we got to our room there was a bottle of used water in our frig. The pull out couch is wrappers and crap under it . There was pretzels under the bed . This hotel isn’t up to my standards and very unhappy . The Kleenex box had 2 Kleenex in it . The elevator smells like the electrical is hot and also sounds like it gonna stop working it hesitates and shakes . Not impressed at all !!!!

Didn’t see anything to complain about. Attendant gave us a nice room in a quiet corner of the building. The traffic might bother you if you are a light sleeper but it’s fine for me. Room was clean as any I’ve been in. Doesn’t look dated as some do. Not planning to use any amenities- just need to sleep and shower. So far so good. Was a little pricier than others, but not outrageous.

I had a reservation from Mon thru Wed. I called them Saturday and asked if I can come in an extra day early on Sunday and pay for tIhe extra day. What a beautiful hotel! My sister and I wanted a little get-away from the city. We hiked in Starved Rock and stayed in your hotel. It was so clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed it and plan on coming back some day.
