Le Château d'Etoges - Champagne

This was my favorite 24 hours out of a 2 week trip to Europe! The Chateau is straight out of a fairy tale. We were greeted by two lovely women who brought us champagne and snacks while getting our room ready. We spent a couple hours in the spa enjoying the sauna, steam room, hot tub, and specialty teas. We walked the property and the few streets around the Chateau before enjoying a lovely dinner. The next morning we headed to Epernay for a fabulous champagne cellar tour at Moët and Chandon. It was perfect!

Great service, lots of parking on site, location is a little remote however the restaurant was excellent. A good place to stop over.

Siamo arrivati la sera e le Chateau d'Etoges era illuminato, impressione magica! Ottimo il servizio, hanno ricariche per auto elettriche, meglio prenotare per la ricarica. L'Atelier d'Etoges, la brasserie (non il ristorante principale) esperienza deludente per essere in Champagne che ha una tradizione di cucina eccellente. Cibo pre-preparato e riscaldato niente cotto al momento. Consiglio di guidare 13km (cosi ci hanno detto all'Hotel) e trovare un bistrot di qualita'!

Sehr schöner Aufenthalt. Ruhige Lage und äusserst nettes Personal. Schade war das Restaurant und das Bistrot gleichzeitig geschlossen (Ferien). Im kleinen Laden kann man aber relativ gut einkaufe und im Park hat es aber genügend Platz für ein Piknik.

Spa was closed by 19:00 and dosnot open in morning Breakfast was very good to exceptional Diner was good Hottel very butifull But main building has not whare you sleep Chargeing is grate just take a curd from reception . Local champagne was very good

The service was exceptional. We had to upgrade our room to a ground floor room due to disabilities so we managed to park right outside the room. The room was exceptional. We ate L'atilier and it was a bit expensive, basic layout but ok. Would definately return.

Breakfast was lovely, Dinner amazing at the near by restaurant. Staff lovely. Electric charge for the car. Accommodation was great

A beautiful chateau situated in lovely grounds. Staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. Rooms are clean, modern and tastefully dressed. The food at the Orangery is exceptional! Highly recommended and will definitely visit again.

My wife, our 8-month-old daughter, our dog, and I stayed at the château for one night while exploring the area. The hotel is truly beautiful, both in its setting and in the attention to detail throughout the building and interior. We arrived in the afternoon and, unfortunately, dogs weren’t allowed in the fine dining restaurant. So, we opted for dinner at the brasserie instead. Our room was very nice—clean and beautifully decorated in keeping with the overall style of the château. The bathroom featured both a shower and a bathtub, blending modern comfort with a contemporary design. Breakfast was served on the ground floor. Unfortunately, our dog wasn’t allowed there either, but he was happy to enjoy some alone time in the room. The breakfast offered a lovely selection of all the usual items, and it was clear that only high-quality products were used—especially the butter, yogurt, and apple juice. The experience was truly memorable, and I would highly recommend this wonderful place. However, one thing to note (though it wasn’t an issue for us) is that there’s no elevator, as it’s an old building. This meant carrying bags, a baby, and a stroller up and down the stairs a few times. Also, because the château is quite secluded, dining options are basically limited to what the hotel provides.

Rooms were not well maintained for example old musty smell and slippery wood floors. No elevator access and guests were invited to carry their own bags down multiple steps. No entertainment, surrounding area looked like a ghost town. Breakfast in the sunny yellow room was nice. Perhaps this property was once grand but no longer.

Not impressed by having so many ants in the room, got cleaned the day after but came back. No mention of it during checkout, not even how was your stay, no offer to compensate us, nothing. We had ants crawling in the bed

Beautiful, delightful chateau in peaceful surroundings. Very clean, nicely decorated room with all amenities needed We had a lovely stay here.

The chateau was wonderful, we were in a room in the Orangery which was very pleasant and quiet. We felt like King and Queen for the night on our stopover from the Alps to Calais. Champagne purchase done and home!

This is probably the most beautiful place I have stayed in my entire life. It is as lovely as the pictures, if not better in person. The room was spacious and the bathroom was modern. The grounds and surrounding area feel like you are in a fairy tale. We ate at the restaurant (the more casual one) and it was fantastic. The staff at the hotel were also working at the restaurant, and they are so friendly. Stay here, you will not regret it.

No A/C in 100G temps!

A beautiful quick getaway from Paris. Absolutely beautiful property. Room was very spacious and comfortable. Grounds were charming. Would absolutely recommend.

Poor, they give you nothing. It’s like a 3 star hotel in a big house. Not even a safe or mini bar. No self closing doors. Not a hotel.

Nous nous sommes retrouvés dans une minuscule pièce, au style « chambre de bonne » sous les toits, sans charme particulier ni matériaux nobles. La décoration est sommaire, sans âme, avec des meubles repeints ou recyclés. La fenêtre minuscule rend la pièce sombre, et le plafond très bas .. à 1m80, on le touche presque. Le tout donne davantage l’impression d’une ancienne garçonnière d’étudiant que d’une chambre de château. Côté confort, aucun service à la hauteur du tarif : pas de bagagiste, pas d’attention particulière malgré le prix annoncé. Monter les valises soi-même dans un château à ce niveau de tarif, c’est surprenant. Le restaurant, quant à lui, est très bon, service impeccable et cuisine soignée. Mais les prix sont totalement disproportionnés : environ 150 € par personne pour un menu semi-gastronomique, sans justification réelle, même en tenant compte du cadre. En résumé : Très beau château et bon restaurant. Chambres petites, sombres, sans cachet ni confort digne du prix. Tarifs largement au-dessus de la prestation réelle. Rapport qualité-prix décevant pour un établissement qui se veut haut de gamme. Heureusement, la bonne humeur des amis présents a rattrapé notre déception

For such an expensive and exclusive chateau you expect beds who fit. If you are 1.90m no way the bed fits. Serving diner at the Orangerie was quite rushed. We had to ask to slow it more down. That was no problem.

Truly beautiful property, but in the middle of nowhere and SO expensive for what you get. We wish we had stayed someplace else.

Chateau Étoges är en skön plats i en lugn liten by i Champagne. Möjligen är byn lite väl lugn men har du bil ligger Epernay och Reims inom räckhåll för dagsutflykter. Det finns gott om Champagne-hus att besöka i området vilket såklart är en bonus för den vinintresserade.

I had previously stayed here as a stopover, but it was so good I decided i needed to make it a destination to come back with my wife. The building, the bedrooms, and the smoked salmon and champagne buffet breakfast in a grand chateau salon are all of the highest order of style, comfort and service, and not expensive for the quality of experience you will enjoy. Dinner in the orangerie restaurant cost more than we would normally pay, but was fully justified by the quality of the cuisine, ambience and service. We will be back!

The property itself was stunning and the staff was wonderful! I would highly recommend booking the dinner and breakfast though, because the area around the chateau was almost entirely vacant and nothing was open. We had to walk to the nearby grocery store for a snack lunch so just be prepared…or bring a car! Overall so wonderful though!

Beautiful location and accommodation. Service was exemplary. Location was excellent for touring the region and we had a lovely experience visiting the local vineyard just opposite the chateau also.

Beautiful old chateau. Staff helpful and friendly. More isolated than had been expected and no nearby alternatives for food. Bistro is excellent but only opens a limited number of evenings, and the Orangerie restaurant had a limited and complex menu. Breakfast was a fabulous experience with champagnevand smoked salmon on offer.

A real treat. Beautiful chateau in wonderful surroundings, sip a glass of champagne as you wander around the grounds! The room was characterful and spacious and the decor throughout is beautiful. We had the gourmet dinner which was exceptional. The staff could not have been nicer.

really impressive Chateau, disappointing the main restaurant was closed on Monday but the Bistro was still good. Will be back

Dejligt hotel med charme og elegance. Det var et genbesøg efter 34 år da hotellet åbnede efterfulgt af besøg for 20 år siden. Oplevelsen var højere de første to gange hvor opholdet var mere unikt med egen restaurant på selve slottet. Nu spiste vi på deres "the Bistro" idet L'Orangerie var lukket. The Bistro var en kedelig og skuffende oplevelse og virkelig ikke opholdet værd.

Das Gebäude und die Anlage wundervoll . Auswahl / Frühstück nur bescheiden . 4 Tage gleicher 2 Sorten Käse / Aufschnitt , keine Eierspeisen . Matratze alt und zu hart . Personal sehr freundlich und das Diner sehr lecker
