Ritz is always a great experience. The service is incomparable to other hotels. Silent, smooth always reading your mind. The property is beautiful and offers so many amazing views of the ocean. The pool is old and uninviting. Luckily there are other things to do.

The Ocean view and the golf course view were fantastic. The walking trail is also nice. Golfers have access to Half Moon Bay Golf Links golf courses. The Ocean course is enjoyable.

As a loyal member of Marriott, I am very disappointed with this hotel: 1. I informed the front desk that my checkout time would be 12 noon, and they agreed. However, they knocked on my door around 10am and then called before 11am. 2. The front desk told me lunch would be served around 11:20am. When I arrived at the restaurant, there was no staff present—just guests sitting around. We found a table and sat down. When I went to the concierge for information, I was told we were not allowed to sit at that table. I had to leave without eating. 3. At the valet, they took my ticket and forgot about us. We waited in cold, windy weather for 20 minutes before they realized their mistake. 4. I arrived around 4pm yesterday, but my room was not ready. I had to wait over an hour. It was my birthday and no one cared. It was my worst birthday trip ever. I feel disrespected by this experience and will not be returning.

Beautiful place but checking long line so took long time our room not ready after 16.00 it was ready . Because of a problem we did not had water from 8.00 untill 12.00 in the room the first morning. It was misty outside seems to be common this time of the year we should have checked that ourself. Our neighbor slammed the door so not super lucky with them. Ps the tips and idears from the congierge where super to watch the wales go to redwood and Half Moon little town to have lunch. Food was super good but sadly not a real clear bar aria and outdoor unfriendly lady who kept lots of seats for food service but the tables she send us for drinks took an hour to get anything to drink. And anyone knows people who drink and sit nicely will order also food so really strange situation.

The location, scenery, golf access, and service were phenomenal. The food needs to be better, especially for the price. The rooms need an upgrade as amenities are not representative of the Ritz Carlton brand (no USB outlets, no mini bar, finishes are dated, etc…). Half Moon Bay is extraordinary and I will return but the hotel is stuck in the year 2000

I recently booked a stay at The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay through Hotels.com for my VIP customer from October 7th to October 8th, 2023. Unfortunately, our experience was far from satisfactory. During our stay in Room 221, the shower system was malfunctioning, and despite multiple attempts to request assistance from the front desk, the issue was not resolved. This left us without a functioning shower throughout our stay, which was a significant inconvenience. Our expectations for The Ritz-Carlton were high, given its reputation for exceptional service and luxurious accommodations. However, the failure to address a basic amenity like the shower system in a timely manner was a disappointment. We hope that the hotel will investigate this matter thoroughly and take measures to prevent such incidents in the future. The shower head was old and didn’t drip well. They had an unaccounted for hair dryer because we had none during our stay. I received an email from their staff accusing me of it being missing. Once I called them, then they were apologetic. That doesn’t change the fact that it was ridiculous to try to accuse me Menu food options are very limited in the inside and outside restaurants. Regular staff was very nice. My server was a very nice lady. Bagpipe player was amazing Views from my room were amazing

Some positives: Registration clerk and dining room staff were excellent. All the scenic views were incredible! Some negatives: Parking guard was not very welcoming, and when we asked a housekeeper for directions to her room, she was very unfriendly. For dine-in room service, we ordered two items. It took over an hour, and they only brought one of the two items, as one was forgotten. The shampoo dispenser was broken, so we had to unscrew the top to get shampoo. The shower head had low pressure. Expected better, especially for $1700 for one night’s stay.

It’s rare for me to think a $1k / night rate for a hotel is worth it but with this Ritz property, I felt like it was a bargain. Had the ocean view room, no balcony for the basic one but regardless was incredible. I am excited to go back and try a different room. The staff were helpful and present at all hours.

It was an ok hotel, average level, the service is not good. The Ocean Terrace stops service at 5.30pm, the food and service at Navio is not good for the price. Through the ocean view window, you can see half of another building. The coffee maker is very noisy. i will not go back

You got to watch out this hotel. I paid in full when I book it, but they still charge me a full stay, they said that they need keep money for a week for safety for 7 days then money back to my credit card. But it does not after 7 days. I called they said keep waiting, 10 days after I called again, they give me an email address to report problem. I emailed, they back to me said they will check, then no answer for 2 days. I called Hotel.com customer service for help, after Hotel.com talk with the hotel they give me money back very fast. But without hotel.com help I do not think they will do anything

Not worth the price! Nice location, but there are several nice hotels with as good a view for a quarter the price. Nothing special about this place. Over priced food and average service at restaurants was disappointing. Went for Anniversary, paid $1600 for the night, and not even a card in the room. Won’t go back! Do not recommend.
