This is one of my favorite places to stay. I love having a separate living area and the fireplace makes it nice and cozy. Close to the beach that you can walk there. Have stayed here many times and will stay again.

Quaint little place that we will add to the must stay locations if we ever get back up to the Monterey area. We stayed in the deluxe double room. One double bed was in a room and the other shared space with the sitting area and kitchen- right at the front door. Bedding was clean but the comforter appeared to be pretty old. We didn’t use much but they provided all the kitchen supplies we needed. Only negative is no A/C. Luckily we brought our own fan because it was a pretty warm few days and no air would have sucked. The location is excellent for us- short walk to the shorelines or a quick drive down to Cannary Row.

Perfect location if you want to stay in the Pacific Grove area. Close to coast and downtown. Great deal for a 2 bedroom for the night. Simple rooms and nothing fancy, but gets the job done for a night or two. Has a nice little kitchenette too.

I’ve stayed here a few times. I love that it is affordable. Staff were nice and rooms clean and comfortable. It’s a little dated, but only a couple of blocks to stunning ocean views and walking trail in Pacific Grove. Because we spend most of our time walking along the ocean, it’s just what we need. The internet was slow, very slow this last visit which was frustrating. They offer a free continental breakfast which was bagels, croissants, cakes, cereal, juice, hard boiled eggs, coffee and tea. Simple and very reasonable. Dog-friendly, which is a must for us.

We always enjoy our stay here. The setting outside is peaceful and you can hear the ocean in the distance. There are plenty of sitting areas outside, an in ground firepit and bbq’s. It is very pet friendly with bags to cleanup after your pet. Our bed was comfortable, and amenities like utensils, pots and dishes were available, as well as soap and shampoo. The beach, lighthouse and golf course are within walking distance.

The property was nice and cost. Unfortunately we had lots of hair in our cabin in the shower and on the floor if we had a broom it would have been easier to clean up but I had to clean it with tissues.

I love all of the beautiful touches around the property, such as the flowers, benches, fire pit, and statuary. There were only a couple of very small issues. There was part of a used bar of soap in the bathroom and the bathroom also had a few ants around the tub. And with the new Roku TV, we weren't able to watch anything but the Roku channel.

Very quaint. Clean but it is showing its age, Outdated bathroom fixtures. Internet was weak. I would stay there again unless I find a bit newer place.

I stayed in an upstairs room in a queen room. The room is small but it has everything. The bed was of the right support, so it is nice. The water pressure in the shower was good, a definite plus. Unfortunately there were two upstairs units, and the wall was thin, so I could hear the neighbors talking. The property is one block away from Asilomar State Beach, so it’s a nice walk to see sunset and crushing waves.

Charming and quaint, I love this place. Our only displeasure was the unit we were in has an upstairs space, which had guests. Though unintentional I am sure, it was so very noisy. We could hear them walking across the room, closing the bathroom door, moving a chair, etc. - just doing what we all routinely do. It was unfortunate.

The location and room itself was great. I was a little taken back by a $75 charge for having a larger dog. The plumbing was loud. Any time the person next to me used the bathroom or showered it sounded like they were in my bathroom. Overall, I would recommend this place if you want to bring your pets along, and want close proximity to the ocean. If you are a light sleeper and do not wish to be woken up early, I might consider somewhere else. consider somewhere else.

Nice, room smelled clean and was clean, new flooring nice area is sit outside. Good water pressure hot water. Only down side was the beds, had two queen beds one was hard and lumpy the other was just hard, like a rock and not lumpy. Other than that enjoyed our stay. The desk clerk was busy but very friendly and organized. Would stay again but I will make sure I bring a foam mattress pad for the bed. I give 4 stars would give 5 if the beds were better

Loved this location. It isn't far from the beach, it's peaceful, cleanliness, and parking is right in front. The plus is there is free wifi & to-go breakfast! That saved me some money. One thing I must say is that the customer service was great. The front desk associate was very friendly & respectful. He made me feel welcomed. I would highly recommend this place. The room felt like a small apartment and it had all of the useful necessities within. The ice machine was just out front along with a snack dispenser. I also spotted dear outside my window.

My reservation that I booked 6 months in advanced was cancelled with 1 day noticed by email. I did not see the email until I arrived. I had to find another hotel when I arrived. The manager was not helpful at all. I was told they could not do anything for be. Horrible costumer service

We had the king bed cottage, with a small patio. The room and the patio were great. My wife says, "The cottage is adorable." I especially appreciated the firm mattress 🙂 . We interacted with three different staff and all three were very helpful, polite, courteous, and friendly. We have only two constructive comments: 1) There needs to be more lamp light in the "living room." There was only one lamp and the overhead light of the vaulted ceiling was too dim. 2) The shower of the room next to us was on the wall where the head of our bed was. Both nights we were there, people showered late. The noise of the shower--not the people, but the shower--was so loud it woke us. It was REALLY, REALLY loud.

We loved staying here, the best part was being able to walk to Asilomar beach. There’s a great path going north and south along the beautiful coast!! We took our bikes and it was very easy to get to 17 mile drive. The cottage was just as pictured, perfect for what we needed. The bed was comfy, the shower water pressure was great and loved having a kitchen. A very safe peaceful place. The continental breakfast was all we needed and a plus.

This a perfect place to stay near the beach and just a few minutes from cannery row. The room was spacious for 2, the yogurt, fruit and slice of cake was enough to get the day started but not quite a meal. I'm definitely looking at availability here for my next visit to Monterey

The individual at check in was not that friendly (it was not busy when we arrived) and didn't go over some of the room nuances - heating, fireplace. The kitchen lights didn't work and all the bulbs needed replacement. Should have been done beforehand. The morning bagals were stale. Loved the quiet and ocean proximity. The grounds are small but well maintained.
