I asked for an accessible room. When I arrived, was told the elevator was broken & they didn’t have an accessible room for me on the first floor. I really think when the elevator breaks, people reserving an accessible room should be notified.

Wonderful convenient location. Cookies, coffee, tea, Nutrigrain bars and fruit bowl containing apples, oranges and bananas available 24/7. Clean rooms, adequate work out room with some free weights, two treadmills, one stepper, and one other machine (I can't recall type). Nice pool area.

We were in the area for Michigan Tech's preview weekend, as my son will be going there this fall. I was pleased with the hotel's distance from the school. We were within walking distance of shopping and dining while remaining six to eight minutes from the school. While the hotel was slightly outdated, overall, it was clean, which I care about the most. The staff was very friendly, and we enjoyed our stay. My only complaint is that the housekeeping staff must have used furniture oil and didn't entirely wipe it up, and it stained one of my favorite shirts. Mistakes happen, but lessons are learned, and I will always check from now on. If the price is right, I would stay here again.

We liked that it was a nicer hotel for the area. Our room had a weird smell with what I believe was the carpet. They have nice touches like cookies and punch at the check in desk. Coffee and snacks.

Short-staffed at the front desk. Had to wait about 5 minutes for someone to show up when we checked in. Perk - they had lemonade and cookies to keep us occupied. Had some noisy families that let their kids play tag in the halls and we were right next to the stairs, so there was a lot of running/stomping up and down. When I tried to call the front desk to complain after "quiet time," I found our line did not go thru. I walked down to make complain in person. I have to say, once a complaint was made, the desk clerk did take things into their own hands and the noisey antics ceased almost immediately. (THANK YOU!!) Overall, a nice stay although I think the price was high for what we paid for.

Spacious room, but no dishes or silverware — if we had known this, we could have brought those things with us. We had a room with a connecting door and could hear conversation level voices in the other room. We had a white noise machine that we set on high and were able to block the noise. The bathroom exhaust fan transfers conversations from the adjacent bathrooms because of poor architectural design. Other than these items, this is a good cost effective temporary residence.

I liked the rooms, but thought they were too cold. I set the temperature to 74, but it didn't accept that and kept going back down to 67. I am an elderly woman and get cold easily. Other than that, the room was fine.

Breakfast was average. Coffee was not hot and bitter. Frig was not on when we arrived had to get desk clerk to move it out to turn it on. Hardly any electrical outlets. None at the desk. Poor lighting in the bathroom.

Property overall was fine, bed wasn’t particularly comfortable but room was clean. Staff during check in was rude and not welcoming, rather very short with clipped communication during the entire process. I was glad to not have to deal with anyone else from registration during the remainder of my stay. I spoke with several ladies in housekeeping who were very kind and pleasant. The registration staff could stand a class in customer service.

Check in was odd. After unexpected delays I arrived about 12:30AM. The front door of the hotel was locked. Locked. In my tired state i stared then waved at the automatic door sensor for a minute before knocking loudly. Twice. Seemed like an hour but it was probably 5 minutes. Someone appeared behind the desk and must have released the lock because the door slid open. I walked up to the desk and the woman stared at me for a few seconds. I finally said hello and asked if i could check in. She blinked and gave me my room key, and told me that the pool area was now closed because it was so late. I just wanted to go to sleep and did not enjoy the momentary panic of not being able to get into the hotel. Otherwise, the stay was fine, bed was comfy, hotel was clean, and they served an okay hot breakfast. I only stayed the one night.

Evening shift (after 5:00) personnel wasn’t very friendly for a desk clerk. He always seemed bothered. Stayed 3 nights and each day we got back to our room neither of our keys worked and had to get them recoded. Asked for a quiet room and where did he place us right across from the elevator and on the main floor. The beds were probably the most uncomfortable that I have ever slept on, felt like a plank with a rug on them. The place was very well kept and and housekeeping did a great job. Convenient location as well.

It was very close to the Bluffs so I could visit my Mother easily. Convenient stores nearby but the view of a shopping center was rather ordinary. Breakfast food was OK but not much variety in the hot food. Not a fan of biscuit and gravy and that appeared two or three mornings.
