The cost was absolutely ridiculous for the "quality" of the place. Wall paper was coming off the wall, shower head had black mold or residue in it, carpet was discussing, half of gym equipment was broken, hot tub out of order, pool had darker brown stains on bottom floor of pool. The lighting in the hallway was sketch because everything was dark. The only thing that stood out was the breakfast.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was updated, but the heat pump has to run continuously to keep up with the cooling needs and very annoying. Breakfast is "low budget" with only the basics, most of my family didn't bother to go down for breakfast after the first morning. The back parking lot has the biggest heaves and bumps in a parking lot that I have ever seen, beware if you drive back there. One of the rear security doors did not lock so anyone can come into the building. There is no elevator. There are better options within 5 minutes!

The room was nice and clean, but the hall was not very nice. There are no elevators to the second floor and the stairwell we used was tight. We were in Hayward for a bike race, and lack of elevators and the tight stairwell was a bit of a struggle for my daughter when she was carrying her bike. Our room was otherwise nice and the beds comfortable.

The bathroom sinks drain was slow draining. The showers grout and walls were showing rust and mildew. The light fixture in the bathroom was about to fall off. The bed spread had a stain. The carpet in the hallway needed cleaning. The door to the parking lot should have automatically locked when it closed for security but didn’t. If I was staying longer I would have asked for a different room. Stayed one night.

My biggest gripe is at least one outside door has a crummy card reader. I had them reprogrammed and they worked once out of the 4 times I tried. This is obviously a place that had greater grandeur in mind once than it displays now. The breakfast was a real hot eggs/sausage type and not the dreaded "continental" style which is all carbs. Short stay on business travel, otherwise non-eventful.

Sad and stinky room, the floor was filthy. If you wanted to swim, bring a hazmat suit, the pool was nasty! On the day of checkout, our keys stopped working at 10, when checkout is at 11. Definently find somewhere else to stay

Pass this one by! They had signs up to pardon their remodeling. If you want a pardon charge a more reasonable rate. The bathroom had mold in the grout. The rooms smell badly. The carpet has seen better days. The pool was out of order our whole stay. The front desk person was not helpful. We were there 5 days and they never serviced the rooms. They didn’t empty trash, make the beds or even offer fresh towels. The room to room calling didn’t work. The Wi-Fi was spotty. Not at all worth it.

This place was severely run down and dirty. It allows pets and there was pet hair in the hallway carpet/rugs. When I entered the hallway, you could immediately smell mildew, and the room was even worse. There was no housekeeping service provided for a three day stay. No new linens. No cleaning of the bathroom. Nothing. The free breakfast was decent.

Lipstick on a pig. The room was updated but dirty. Wood floor had so much filth on it we had to wear shoes the entire stay. Dragged a towel across the floor and it was brown. Staff was non-existent at the front desk. Waited 20 minutes to talk with someone at checkout and finally just left.

I think this is my first bad review. Maybe they are short staffed because everyone seems to be, but it was like they did a superficial clean and left. The bathroom had something like dry wall chips on the edge of the bath tub, hair and open used soap in the bathroom and no towels at all. I moved the night stand to use plug in and there were pretzels on the floor next to the bed. No top sheet on the beds. The screen was sitting outside of the window. They did bring towels in less than 5 minutes after calling and leaving a message. ( found the other stuff after) The breakfast was nice enough.

The bathroom had not been cleaned at all. Everything was dirty and no toilet paper. The floor was absolutely filthy. Junk and even loose change on the floor from the people before us. Its like they completely forgot to clean the bathroom at all. The bathroom even smelled like urine.

Hotel seemed good and nice but they are in the middle of renovating so some areas were messy. The room I had was nice but old. Tile in shower was dirty and could tell it hadn’t been cleaned in a while. Walls seemed thin and could hear people. There was a connecting door in my room which makes noise level and privacy different. I just don’t care for having that.

I always start with the positives: 1. The room and common areas were clean. 2. The staff was friendly and efficient. 3. The room was nicely decorated. 4. The hot breakfast buffet was good quality. The one negative about my stay was the wifi. It worked better with my laptop than my phone. However, it was intermittent and unreliable. I expect good wifi when I pay over $100 for a room

Bed and bedding was super comfy! Hotel in general was dated but nice overall. My only complaint would be the heating unit, we could not get it to stay a comfortable temperature. We were either hot or cold.

It's a pretty old place, reasonably clean and maintained. The air conditioner was terribly noisy so we didn't run it much, which may be why the room felt 'muggy' and the carpet seemed slightly damp to bare feet. The shower flow was barely adequate. The pool looked nice but we didn't have suits with us. There was only housekeeping staff two out of three days.

Hallways smelled like weed, walls are super thin. I got yelled at in the parking lot by someone high on something. I could hear everything going on in the rooms around me. Breakfast was good but i checked out a day early

The customer service that we were provided during our 2 day stay. Nicole who checked is abd helped us with numerous issues given we are seniors and technology impaired. Lol. Special thanks to the maintenance man (tall with ponytail) and manager who helped us on 2nd day of our stay. Neglected to grt their names so y apologies. Was able to maneuver wheel chair in room. Shower was awesome! Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts. If we ever need a hotel in Rhinelander this will be our choice for sure.

The check in went smoothly. The front desk staff was not friendly. We walked in and stood there for a minute as we didnt see anyone. After looking around noticed the attendant was sitting behind the desk the whole time and didnt bother to greet us. The room smelled of cinnamon air freshener and Marijuana. You could not walk around without shoes on because the floor was filthy. The top blanket covers on both beds were dirty. The actual blankets and sheets were clean. The bathroom was clean. The pool was nice, the whirpool was out of order. Overall not a horrible place for the price but, I would expect the rooms to be clean.

Zero curb appeal. Parking lot significantly covered in dirtFront desk attendant ignored us for several minutes upon arrival and my car was the only one in the parking lot. He never looked up or made eye contact. No greeting, just “what can I do for you”, without looking up. Got checked in and went to the room. After a long drive I needed to use the bathroom. Lifted the toilet seat to find diarrhea in the toilet and all over the seat. Yuck. The rest of the room was cleaned marginally at best. I’m pretty sure the sheets were changed. They had a large lounge/bar area which was unique and we did have an enjoyable time there. I would not come back. We made due as it was one of the only options at the time. This could be an ok place if anybody cared.

Overnite stay. I didnt use any of the facilities like pool etc. Its an older hotel. Its clean and pretty well kept. Friendly up north atmosphere. SUPER Convenient to town and hiway. One "complaint"is the towels. Clean but not soft. Great backscratchers lol. I would go back

Late night check in. The lady was so pleasant and fast to get my room. Thank you. I was exhausted after a long day of travel. Breakfast was really good with real potatoes, fresh ham and eggs.. not the typical crap. Yummy!

Hotel was below average. Location was good. Hotel needed a deep cleaning. Desk staff was more worried about being in their cell phone than helping customers. View from our room on the second floor was literally a wall with chipped paint. Breakfast was advertised to be a hot breakfast but instead of bacon or sausage they had undercooked corn beef hash. Beds and pillows were comfortable. This was more of a $80-$90 per night hotel than a $170/night hotel.

Over all it was a good stay. The room was nice. It was clean. Maintenance of the room was good. Didn’t have much to offer for breakfast. The muffins were terrible dry. The coffee didn’t have much flavor. At entrance #2 the outside door could just be pulled open. It never locked. That is very bad for security.
