One night stay. Check in was very easy. Received email and text with room number and code for the door. Parking is available right outside your room which is very helpful. Rooms are a good size and very clean. Nothing fancy about the room but everything you need for a stay. Small kitchen has a nice size refrigerator, microwave, and a stovetop. Bathroom is dated but functional. Good water pressure and hot water in the shower. Beds were comfortable. Just what we were looking for on a quick stopover during a cross country drive.

The room was very clean and nice. The pre-signing in and out made the whole checking in process much simpler. The only thing that was a negative was the lack of parking causing us to park on the street. Location was in a quiet neighborhood so parking on the street was only a mild inconvenience.

There were certainly some positives and negatives with our stay. Positives- nice clean room, new carpet and new comfortable beds Negatives- TV did not work very well, A/C not very strong, no coffee in room or ice available.

Really pleasantly surprised and happy to have found this place. I literally never give reviews on anything, but I don't mind in this case. Firstly, I was able to back right up to my door. I have lot's of totes I travel with and I hate using those carts to take them inside places. There's a kitchenette here with a good sized fridge, 4 burner cooktop, microwave, and full sized sink. Their wi-fi works with no hassles or signing into sites b.s. The check in, although concerning to me at first (I like dealing with someone looking me in the eye and dealing with me face to face. Someone I can go back and deal with if there's a problem) was fast and easy. A concern I had was I didn't want a top floor room, which I didn't receive, but it seems I didn't have the option to choose. Also, either all my neighbors here are quiet as can be, or this place is adequately sound deadened. Parking is fine, it's in a nice area, and they gave me a good weekly rate since I'm staying for several weeks. If I were to gripe about anything, it would be the lack of bathroom counter space, but there's just too many positives to care much about that.

The room stunk when we entered it and there were carpet bugs in several places. No coffee maker. The shower head fell off when I was showering and had difficulty getting it back in place so I could finish. Overall it sucked.

This was not your typical hotel room. I was very impressed with the well-designed layout - including kitchen - and spaciousness of this room. Everything including the furniture and appliances was clean and in tiptop condition. Communication with the off-site inn keeper went exceptionally well and I received immediate assistance when I needed help with the TV. Out of all the places I've stayed in my travels, the Oakwood Inn gets my highest-ever rating!

Summer '25. Doors walls and floors show age. But, crispy white soft clean sheets and 2 soft clean pillows on each bed was what i needed. Mem foam mattress in good shape, a bit warm in July. And about 1/3 cost of large hotel chain out on the highway. Quick check in on expedia app. Will stay here again next gathering.

Very noisy. Walls are very thin. Can hear neighbors talking and music at 5:30 am. Traffic is loud as the hotel is on a busy street. Had the worse night sleep ever in a motel. Do not recommend

While a bit outdated the rooms were clean (which is always my main concern) we received a text from Joe the innkeeper after we booked with our room number and door code to our room, which was great! The contactless check-in was so helpful since we had been traveling for over 8 hours and got in a bit late. it was nice not having to deal with a bunch of extra steps!

If you are looking for a place with continental breakfast, an elevator or even a front desk this isn’t it..But if you are a looking for a budget friendly,clean, and quiet this is it. They have contactless check in and if you have any questions just text and they usually get back to you fairly quickly. The room has a decent size refrigerator so def room for any leftover pizza boxes to fit! This is my 2nd year staying here and my only issue is I keep forgetting to request a downstairs room so if you need an elevator or any assistance going upstairs make sure to request a downstairs room. I love staying here!

We enjoyed our stay at Oakwood Inn. The check-in and check-out was super easy. We liked how we were informed on the process. The Inn is in a nice neighborhood which I took advantage of with a morning walk. We will not hesitate to stay at Oakwood Inn in the future.

I hate to leave a review because I want this place to be my little secret! The Oakwood is just a perfect little motel. I stay here often and it is always exactly perfect. The room had been recently remodeled- lovely soft carpet and a wonderful bath. It is always clean and quiet. The owner is always responsive by text- so convenient to just get a key code so I can arrive whenever and not worry about a check in time. It’s my favorite motel in my favorite place!

My hubby is handicap and unable to stay on a 2nd Floor room. He isn't able get up the stairs due to oxygen issues and damaged knees. The inn keeper is very difficult to reach and there is no front desk or person to speak with directly. This is very unprofessional of the person who runs such a business. I saw a person cleaning up the grounds and he relayed that all the first floor rooms are reserved persons needing a kitchenette and long term stays and they were fully booked. The description on Expedia should have a disclaimer stating such items so that a guess can make a better decision I. The stay prior to paying. It’s been 3 hours and still no response from the inn keeper.

My favorite place to stay in this part of the State. For the price, this place is excellent! A cozy, clean room with a comfortable bed. I sleep with earplugs, but the train is near and there are large trucks in the morning that drive by, which can cause some noise. Yes, the property is older, but the neighborhood is safe and within walking distance of the old downtown area. The manager is very responsive and helpful when needed.

Simple, clean and comfortable basic accommodations. For a one night overnight stay during travel, this was just the ticket. Heat and air conditioner worked fine, everything else was well cared for and met basic needs. There are not businesses or restaurants within close walking distance, and this is in a semi-residential area of the city. It was pretty dark outside and arriving late might feel a little uncomfortable for a solo, female traveler, but it was fine for me. I did not feel unsafe, but just a heads up that it is dimly lit and there is no front desk person on duty (remote check-in and digital door code access).

The hotel itself is older. Room was adequate, but it’s hard to make it look nice when it’s old. Towels & washcloth were changed each day. No breakfast. It worked, but I wouldn’t chose this if I had it to do over.

If you are looking for a place with continental breakfast, an elevator or even a front desk this isn’t it..But if you are a looking for a budget friendly,clean, and quiet this is it. They have contactless check in and if you have any questions just text and they usually get back to you fairly quickly. The room has a decent size refrigerator so def room for any leftover pizza boxes to fit! This is my 2nd year staying here and my only issue is I keep forgetting to request a downstairs room so if you need an elevator or any assistance going upstairs make sure to request a downstairs room. I love staying here!

There were certainly some positives and negatives with our stay. Positives- nice clean room, new carpet and new comfortable beds Negatives- TV did not work very well, A/C not very strong, no coffee in room or ice available.

Simple, clean and comfortable basic accommodations. For a one night overnight stay during travel, this was just the ticket. Heat and air conditioner worked fine, everything else was well cared for and met basic needs. There are not businesses or restaurants within close walking distance, and this is in a semi-residential area of the city. It was pretty dark outside and arriving late might feel a little uncomfortable for a solo, female traveler, but it was fine for me. I did not feel unsafe, but just a heads up that it is dimly lit and there is no front desk person on duty (remote check-in and digital door code access).

Great experience. Stayed a week while helping a relative with his new propertu clean up and repairs. Only negative was lack of coffee maker, but drive thrus all near by
