My partner and I originally booked Avista Hideaway for just 4 nights and 5 days, but we loved it so much that we extended our stay to a full month. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Usha, who gave us a lovely tour and even arranged an early check-in. She was so kind and welcoming throughout our entire stay.The front desk team were always helpful and attentive, and the housekeeping staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort throughout our stay. The resort’s landscape is stunning—lush greenery surrounds the property, offering serene views of the ocean and a peaceful atmosphere that made us feel far removed from the hustle and bustle of Patong, even though it's conveniently nearby. The complimentary shuttle service made it easy to enjoy both tranquility and the vibrant energy of the town. Breakfast was always a delight, with kind and attentive service each morning, greeted with warm and friendly smiles.We also appreciated the spacious, clean, and well-equipped gym, which was a great bonus for longer stays. Another highlight was having two renowned Phuket restaurants—Sizzle and Tambu—right on-site. We had some truly memorable meals without ever needing to leave the resort. Avista Hideaway was the perfect blend of relaxation, comfort, and convenience. It exceeded our expectations in every way, and we’re already looking forward to returning!

Absolutely beautiful property although it is on a very steep incline so it would be difficult or impossible to enjoy for anyone with mobility issues. There are buggy’s that can bring you around the property but there are still many stairs to climb once at your destination. Buggy’s we’re noisy at night. All 3 restaurants were completely sold out for the 3 days we were there so buffet was the only option as you are up in the mountains. Views are amazing.

The service was nice! The hotel actives like Muay Thai class and personal cooking lessons with the chef were lovely. Nice swimming pools, and overall the vibe was great! It’s a bit tucked away, so be prepared to walk, take a taxi or Grab (Thai Uber). But I’d prefer that over the loud hustle and bustle of street noise. There’s also a free hotel shuttle to and from the main drag daily. I would recommend. 👍

This is one of my absolutely favorite hotels in the entire world! The staff at the hotel is like family away from home. They take great care of every single guest, and they make you feel like you’re a part of their family! Today we did a walking trail tour to freedom Beach hosted by the hotel with our tour guide Opp, who was fantastic!!! Oop was fun, friendly knowledgeable, and communicated so wonderfully with us! He was a lot of fun and I can see why the hotel puts the tours and activities in his hands for safekeeping. He really makes sure the guests have a great, fun, and adventurous experience. We have done so many other things here ant the hotel, including swimming, eating and drinking and just relaxing, and everyone has been fantastic. In fact, here are the names of the people that I want to acknowledge at the hotel, among many others, who have been like family to us making sure that our vacation was an unforgettable one: Nam, Vivy, Emmy, Brownie, Matt, Elia, Toey, Hanna and last but certainly not least, Philipp. A special word about Phillip - He has made this vacation and this entire trip the best vacation I’ve had in decades by being so concerned for my happiness and well-being and just ensuring that I celebrated my birthday in a spectacular way!!!! Everyone at the hotel has been extraordinary. I love how scenic the views are how serene and quiet and tranquil the location is; and I especially love how well taken care of the entire hotel property is.

Beautiful 5 star hotel with fantastic staff. 4 pools including an adult pool which was much appreciated. Big room and large comfy bed. There is a unique Thai architectural design throughout the facility including the rooms and balconies. Lots of levels and stairs. The restaurants need more Thai choices and more affordable options

The hotel is on beautiful grounds and the staff are beyond helpful and friendly. The issue we had is that is so moist in the grounds that either you have to turn the A/C up really high (meaning it’s freezing in your room) or your floor becomes literally wet to walk on. They need a serious dehumidifier system installed. Otherwise a beautiful hotel.

This hotel was such a disappointment. Pros: 1. Nice outdoor pools with really great views 2. Quiet location Cons: 1. Everything in the hotel was wet and humid. Our room was humid all the time and smelled like mold despite AC running all the time. My passport got wrinkly as if it was washed after staying in the room for a week. 2. Hotel food and cocktails were just mediocre. For a fraction of the price one could get so much better food elsewhere, even in a small family owned cafe across the street 3. If you’re considering a stay at Avista Hideaway, think again! My experience was nothing short of a nightmare. On the very first night, I discovered a blood stain on my bed. Yes, you read that right—BLOOD. When I notified the staff, they took their sweet time, making me wait at least 30 minutes before addressing the issue. Unbelievable! You’d expect a swift response, but it felt like they couldn’t care less about my comfort or safety. As if that wasn’t bad enough, I then faced the most frustrating situation on my last night: no running water for a shower. Imagine being utterly sweaty and uncomfortable, desperately wanting to freshen up after a long day. It was absolutely unbearable! To top it all off, the hotel didn’t even bother to offer any compensation for these atrocious inconveniences. Management needs to act swiftly and take responsibility for their guests’ well-being. Instead, they left me feeling ignored and unvalued. Overall, this so called '5 star luxury resort' is a prime example of neglect and poor service. Save yourself the headache and avoid this place at all costs!

Very nice hotel, which was spotlessly clean, with good facilities. Amazing restaurants, pools and games room and delicious buffet breakfast. All staff were very friendly and polite but specially: Risma at Vista restaurant and Matt at the lobby went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Phuket, Thailand.

AC Regulierung funktionierte auch sehr schlecht. So war es zu kalt oder es wurde sehr stickig. Allgemein sehr müffelndes Zimmer. Werden bestimmt nicht zurück kommen!

Extremely clean hotel, staff just wonderful. There was only one restaurant open, we weren’t informed before hand of this but the food was really fantastic. There was only one pool bar open, again we didn’t know prior to this. We wished the beach nearby was more accessible, it’s about a 20-30 minute walk down a really steep rocky path. You needed to get taxis to get into town or beyond, no free service. This all sounds negative but the staff make the stay and as far as I’m concerned the cleanliness of a hotel is really important too.

This was our first time back to south east Asia in 30 years and it did not disappoint. The hotel is excellent with superb pools and views. We stayed in an executive pool access room which is highly recommended. Being able to go straight from your room into the pool without having to think about sun beds was superb! The staff are all fantastic but I have to mention Jag who went above and beyond to make our stay so memorable. He was a true professional and if you are lucky enough to stay at this resort he is your go to person! I also have to mention Vishal and Goldi in the Vista Restaurant - they were so friendly and always happy to help. Finally I have to thank Tong and Kaew at the Chiva Riverside bar - always smiling and made delicious cocktails!

Nice quiet resort even though it is very close to the city of Pa Tong. However our room was right next to workspace and there was consisting medal grinding noise during daytime and that wasn’t pleasant. Other than that, facility is nice, people are very friendly, food is good. it was very good.

This resort is beautiful. You have many options for pools, with different vibes. The room sizes were great and the little touches were also great. The views from the pools are phenomenal and you get to see the sunset. I would highly recommend. It is close to freedom beach which is a great beach and it is a short cab journey into the town.

This resort was absolutely AMAZING. We missed our connecting flight due to other flight delays and when I called to notify them that we would be arriving around 2am, they went above and beyond to still greet us with a warm welcome (and man, did we need it!). Our room was a king room with private access to our pool and jacuzzi tub. That was a very nice treat. The staff was GREAT. Shout out to Yazz who helped us to our room at 2am! Every question we had, whether about the resort or surrounding area, was answered perfectly and quickly by staff. The breakfast was standard; nothing really fancy. The views from the main infinity pool were breathtaking. Rancho the bartender was super friendly and made us some great cocktails. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay. If I had to give any recommendation to this resort it would be two things: 1. Up the lighting within the room. While there were switches for absolutely everything, there was no light whatsoever in the shower and the overall lighting in the room was extremely dim. Can be personal preference, but throwing that out there. 2. While we did select the room with a private walkout to our pool, I wish it had just a bit more access to the mountain views that our room was facing. The privacy hedges were extremely tall and blocked the view almost entirely, which also didn't help the lighting situation in the room. Glad we booked our stay with Avista and would definitely come back here.

Amazing stay! Got a free upgrade from pool access room to the presidential suite with a private pool. The suite was huge, spotless, and beautiful. Pool was a bit cold (wish temp could be adjusted). Room had a smart TV but no Netflix—front desk lent us a Chromecast for a $100 deposit, which was returned. Loved the hotel’s design, pools, and happy hour BOGO drinks (12–1 pm & 4–5 pm). Room service was excellent and breakfast was incredible. Wish I could’ve stayed longer—highly recommend!

Overall good, but front desk are not usually answering the phone quick and most of the time their phone is busy. The first room we got was not a 5-star hotel room, old and dirty and the shower was not drain properly. The manager gave us a new room, much better. The safe box didnt work but they fix it after few times try.

Checkin and checkout process was terrible. Took our passports and then left for about an hour without an update, then came back and told us our room wasn't ready....why make us wait for an hour to tell us this, we could have been doing something much more enjoyable than sitting in the unairconditioned lobby. On check out they made us wait again to "check if we left anything in the room" but seemed more like they were checking for damages, I've never been at a hotel that made me wait while they checked if I forgot something. Overall, felt a severe lack of trust given the massive deposit that was needed to be left in addition to already having paid in full.

Would not reccomend. The water system in the room did not work twice in the same day for 30 minutes. The reception sraff did not have patience for us and just told us to wait without any time to fix or status. They did not fix the problem even at the end. Nice property and nice room w Mountain View. Staff and service were great. Downsides was only 2 complimentary bottled waters each day (with the heat and humidity, that is not enough), there was much noise above our room for most of our stay (it sounded like furniture moving). Location is on top of a hill so not much around easy walking distance, need to rely on taxis or rent motorbike.

This hotel is become really old and need some renovations. We was there the first time 4 years ago and it was perfect sadly it is no longer the case. They also completly removed the free shuttle from Phuket to the hotel, it was a huge plus since the hotel area is far away on patong Hill.

Avista Hideaway was amazing. We cannot find the words to describe how good it really was. From staff to accommodation to facilities, it was the best resort we have stayed in. We didn't need to go anywhere else if we didn't want to. The rooms were out of this world, the food and restaurants were not only exquisite but were full of variety and accommodating to allergies. A big shout out to Tuktik from the pool bar, she was talkative, informative and creative with our drinks. Avista is on our list to stay in Thailand from now on... thank you for making our trip so special!

Swimming pools and food were great, the restaurants are 5 star. Unfortunately the pool bar didn't know how to make Bloody Mary and played awful music most time. Room was mouldy, not well maintained, air con made us sick, no ceiling fan option, showers are broken. Staff were kind and lovely, did their best. Lost item was not found, friend left gift on reception under our name and room number, also not found. Overall it's a really beautiful hotel, wish it was maintained well. The management kindly compensated us with a dinner. I do recommend it for short stay, we stayed 8 night was too long probably.

Hotel staff are very friendly, helpful and kind. The rooms are clean and comfortable, love the design of the room. Had dinner at Sizzle one of the hotel restaurant, love the Wagyu steak. Facilities are in great condition. They also provide free shuttle bus to different locations in Phuket. Would recommend staying here if you're looking for a quiet place, 5 mins drive from Patong.

Very nice hotel, which was spotlessly clean, with good facilities. Amazing restaurants, pools and games room and delicious buffet breakfast. All staff were very friendly and polite but specially: Risma at Vista restaurant and Matt at the lobby went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Phuket, Thailand.

All the restaurants were incredible!! The staff were so nice and helpful with everything. The hotel made my first trip to Thailand unforgettable.

Hotel location, look was on point as we expected. However the service in the hotel wasn't great and certain things need to be addressed. There is only 1 active restaurant currently, was advertised with 2. The one bar they have is only open until 10pm. The service at the pool bar is very slow with limited drinks, we had a swim out room and the bar there did no frozen drinks or special cocktails. The hotel seems it is still feeling the effect of covid, it needs small tweaks to make it a very good hotel, currently it is ok.
