Stayed 7 nights

Our room felt like part of the car park. We couldn’t open our curtains because people could see in. And our windows stayed shut so we didn’t breathe in car fumes. The room cost £1300 for a week. It was appalling to pay that amount of money to live like prisoners. I contacted head office and they did absolutely nothing and said to deal with the hotel. The hotel said to deal with head office. One nice lady gave us some bikes for the week other than that they didn’t care. The room had a clothes airer which was a joke as we had no light, no sun and no fresh air. The room was depressing and the lack of any interest in finding a solution was very poor. It is disgusting to pay £165 a night for a room like that. Never again!

Great location, with an easy walk to the town centre. The staff were helpful. Our kids really enjoyed the pool.

The property has lots of charm and character. However, it wasn’t well sign posted and when we did find the check in desk there was nowhere to park safely to check in. Once you check in you get directions to the car park. This would have been useful before arrival as would knowing to bring your own towels and toilet paper. The room was comfortable and had some good amenities although it is in need of a little updating and or TLC. On site parking was good. Just a 5 to 10 minute walk to the main harbour area where the restaurants, shops and market are. Nice and quiet location, just be careful on the grass area where your outdoor table and chairs are as nobody cleans up dog mess which was not great. There’s an indoor/outdoor pool, sauna, steam room and a gym on site. Bike hire available too. Would stay again but would bring things with us like towels and toilet paper next time now we know.
