The location was excellent. Close to lots of restaurants and boat tour's. Shopping is all within walking distance. Rooms are quite spacious and beds are quite comfortable. The bar serves excellent drinks and are reasonably priced. Pool was warm and clean. The sauna was so relaxing. Our view of the riverboats and city was truly amazing. Gym was great 👍 Def will be back!!!

The location of this hotel was very convenient as I had business at The Mart. It was clean, the room was nice and the staff I encountered were friendly. My only complaint would be the navigation of the building. It was a little annoying having to go up one elevator and across a lobby to another elevator just to get to my room. Overall I would recommend it if you want to be in that area.

Windows were dirty and full of spiders. I paid for my room way in advance but once getting there still had to put a $200 hold which I was told would be only 24 hours but that wasn’t the case more like 5-7 days. Also the parking you have to pay $61 dollars a night just an fyi.

Nice hotel. Great, walkable area. Friendly staff. if a fitness room is important i recommend looking elsewhere. The gym was underequipped, with far too few machines, weights, and mats, and 3 of the treadmills were broken (incline was broken on one, speed on the other, and the third just didn't work.) This is clearly not a new issue.

The property was in a very nice location downtown and it was easy to walk or get a ride somewhere. The rooms were very clean, the hotel overall was very nice. The only issue we experienced was traffic with the elevators. It didn’t seem like they were all working and would get backed up as you had to transfer elevators from the lobby to get up to the rooms.

Yes parking is across the street, underground, and costs $60/night. You honestly don't need a car in downtown but if you do bring one be aware. Hotel staff was nice overall. The bed was comfy. My only two icks considering the price was the shower was lukewarm at best and I felt the towels had stains. Minor issues considering the good location and pool/gym/sauna. I guess I just thought the experience would be a little nicer since it was a boutique-esque hotel but that's just me being picky. I would consider staying here again (if it was cheaper)

The room was clean but the bathroom was dirty and on the room 1845 it was small spot on the bathroom and the ceiling where the black mold barely hot water it was more cold than hot and it was nice stock what pillows or extra sheets I had to call ask for more and never answer the phone so I had to send it message and then respond pretty fast by message by not my phone and the room is pretty standard no microwave the fridge is so small pretty pricey and it was not the greatest

The room was very out dated! The covers to the air conditioner/heating untie were falling off. The bed sheets and pillowcases had noticeable stains on them with colors of red and brown! It seems as if the bed was just made and no linen replaced. There was a horrible smell of mildew in the hallways. The soap dispenser in the shower was as old and needed to be filled up. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. When I addressed the matters the staff was very rude!

Room was okay. Only one person during check in so there was a long line. It had a wet muggy smell to it maybe bc we were on the floor with the pool. So I get it. TV did not work. We called front desk twice until they finally sent someone to fix it. Maintenance couldn’t so they asked to move us but it was already too late to move our stuff. Inconvenient especially with a 6 year old. Vents are very dirty. In the rooms and hallways. Best thing of this hotel ate the views and location.

I was there on a 4 day business trip but could not connect to the internet and when I called the front desk, they connected me to the internet provider who I spent a half hour on the phone with troubleshooting and still did not resolve.

The staff, cleanliness, etc were amazing. The bed was old, and one side was damaged with a caved in spot, in a corner room king suite. Don't know how this gets past an inspection. They came and took all of the towels we used each day and never replaced them, we had to request more each time, that was annoying. Everything else was great.

The room was okay. It advertised that the beds were queen beds but they were not. I talked to the front desk and they told me that all of the “queen” beds were that size. They are in fact twin full size beds. Also, if you are advertising for four people make sure that there are enough items for four people ie towels and bathrooms

The hotel is beautiful our room view was amazing. Our room was spacious and clean. The only complaint was the shower knob was non operational. The water handle had serious wear like it was going to fall off. Since, our stay was for one night and the view was beautiful we didn't see a need to complain maybe that's why she gave us the room with the non operational shower knob.

This is not a 3 star or 4 star hotel. location is 5 star. I didn't like the room and washroom is small comparing to other holiday inn as it is old. the amount of money I paid for two nights was not worth it. parking and breakfast is expensive but overall in downtown all hotels are expensive. I only recommend this hotel for its location only.

Noisy. All rooms face the huge central courtyard where the restaurant and bar are located. Noise travels up to the bedrooms as in an auditorium. Do not choose if you plan to go to bed before 1am when noise from the bar quietens down. Other than that it is a good hotel, in a good location, but I wouldn't stay unless you plan you go to bed late or use ear plugs.

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with several issues we experienced during our recent stay. We originally booked a room for Saturday but added Friday night as well due to the incoming snowstorm. When we checked in, we hoped the two nights could be combined so we could remain in the same room for the duration of our stay. Unfortunately, this did not happen, creating unnecessary inconvenience. We also dealt with a leaky sink pipe, which resulted in us having to move rooms three different times. At one point, we were placed in a smaller room, and the staff member assisting with the room change appeared inconvenienced and unwilling to help us secure a comparable room. Only after multiple moves were we finally placed in a room similar to what we originally booked. While we were offered a $30 refund, we feel this did not adequately reflect the amount of disruption, inconvenience, and time lost during our stay. Given the repeated room changes, the downgrade, and the overall inconvenience, we believe a more appropriate resolution should have been offered. Additionally, the customer service at the concierge desk was disappointing. Several staff members were not polite, and the woman who checked me out on Sunday was especially rude and unfriendly. Her attitude left a very negative final impression on our stay. Overall, the repeated room issues, lack of helpfulness, and poor customer service made our stay far less enjoyable than expected.

Staff at this property was amazing! All were friendly and helpful and accommodating. Front desk held our bags until check-in and arranged for a checkout time that worked with our departure schedule, the barista made genuine conversation while making my drink each morning, and the housekeeping even gladly showed my inept self how to turn on the shower when I got flummoxed by the tap. Of note was the beautiful, large, open design of the hotel reception area on floor 15 where the hotel floors begin…it was expansive, interesting, with great views and cozy details. It was somehow stark and vast, yet warm and inviting at the same time.

We usually stay here during Riot fest but the counter service was the worst. Alonso was rude, condescending and every time we had to run into him he wasnt helpful. Other than that, everyone else was kind and respectful. The girls at the coffee stand were amazing.

I paid for parking in advance when I booked my room, assuming it would be a smooth process. However, I was never given any instructions on how to redeem my parking. As a result, I was forced to pay again at the exit gate just to leave the lot. Looking back, I should have taken the warning more seriously—one of the staff members actually told us to be careful with the parking fee as we headed to our room. At the time, I didn’t think much of it because I figured I wouldn’t have any issues since I had already paid in advance. Unfortunately, I was wrong. When I went to the front desk to resolve the issue, the staff admitted that there were no instructions provided about bringing the parking ticket to them for validation. Instead of offering a solution or refund, they were dismissive and rude, essentially telling me, “too bad, so sad.” This is completely unacceptable. If they offer prepaid parking, they need to provide clear instructions—and if they fail to do so, they should take responsibility. The staff text you - which is a nice touch. I was able to ask questions that way vs calling the front desk. I Don’t really like taking 2 elevators to get to the room- 1st one goes to 15th floor and then you walk a little bit across the dining room and bar area - to another elevator - with a line of people.l waiting. that was a bit of a surprise - but otherwise it’s a great place. Great location. Staff were great. I was able to check out late and they stowed my bags till ready.

Our room was dirty and mirror was broken in the bathroom upon arrival. When letting staff know about it we were told it would be handled. Mirror was fixed fairly quickly but it took a matter of 3 times to remind staff that the room was dirty and not in favorable conditions for sleeping. Staff took no accountability for the fact that nobody would help us with our issue and then made us change the sheets ourselves. Next morning we get switched to a new room thankfully, but later on find out the shower head does not work. When addressed to staff, employee on the phone very rudely answered that “its the water pressure” and we would have to fix it ourselves once again. When I let him know that it is inconvenient that this was not checked prior to any guest entering the room for their stay he said “it’s just how it goes.” When checking out of the hotel we asked for a cart for our luggage to be brought to our room, and staff said we can get it ourselves which was unheard of for me. Overall it was a less than satisfactory stay and I would not recommend.

From the minute I walked in the door, the staff was beyond nice and helpful! It’s a beautiful hotel with plenty of thing to do around it, a lot that is walkable as well… the staff will text you throughout your stay to make you are okay and don’t need anything which was such a plus for me, I had a pretty late flight on checkout day so they tagged my luggage for me so I didn’t have to drag it along all day. Just an overall great experience and the view from my room was amazing! I will most definitely be back for sure!

Before I checked in on the 18th, I was charged for half of the room deposit. When I arrive to the hotel and try to check in the front desk clerk, rang me up for the ENTIRE amount of the room price, plus the $200 security deposit fee.I explained to the clerk that I had already been charged for half of the room deposit and asked why I was being charged the full price again. She calls her manager and explains the situation to them over the phone. Now the new price I need to pay is the other half of the room plus the $200 security deposit. I pay the amount, and I get my key and head to the room. Upon arriving in the room there was no sofa bed, which on the website it was described to have, weird. I go to look at my bank account to check my bank statements, and I notice I was charged another $200 dollars. ( which I was told I was going to be refunded for, but why was I charged again for another $200? Without my knowledge? Fast forward to the last day when I am trying to check out, I was told that I had a charge on my account for $250. Which again was weird because I just paid the hotel over $1200, when my room total was $870. Klao was the manager on duty, who laughed & didn't really try to understand where I was coming from and the fact that the hotel took more money than they should have. She printed out receipts and asked if "it makes sense" because she did not want to waive the fee. After going back and forth with her she waived the extra $250 fee because I wasn't paying it!

Beautiful area, safe and secure. Staff was excellent and super friendly. Located on the Chicago River, and a block away from the Merchandise Mart CTA train stop. Super convenient to ride the L trains or walk the city, which we did. Highly recommend this place, and will definitely be back!

This hotel was nice and clean. It's not super convenient to restaurants or other downtown attractions, but it's quiet. Parking available across the street and underground for $60. Restaurant and bar on site with a good view of city and river. It's a shared building, so you have to take two different elevators to get to the room floors. Standard sized rooms with comfy beds and decent showers. All in all would recommend for families.

The bar and breakfast buffet were nice. Breakfast was a full breakfast with vegan options. We didn’t have time to use the pool & sauna, but my daughter said the pool looked nice. Klaou checked us in and assisted us to the elevators. The gentleman on the 15th floor was nice, even getting our elevators for us on our way out. Our view was magnificent! I think we had room 1719. We were there for my brother’s wedding at Merchandise Mart, which was next door. The river walk is a short walk away (if you have good knees). Also close to the world’s largest Starbucks (by uber, not walking). So my daughter was able to take this off of her bucket list, as I was also able to check off Taste of Chicago. The only negative are the super low, small toilets and the fact that there was no cable tv the first few hours after check in.

Parking was reasonable and parking garage was right across the street. We requested a city view room and our room had a wall that took up part of the window so we didn't get a full view of the city. We had the breakfast buffet which was very convenient and reasonable. Will probably consider staying here again due to the breakfast and dinner buffet options.

We had a wonderful stay, love the hotel and love the view. We went to dinner on Friday at the Chicago chophouse and it was excellent, and we had planned the whole time per the advertisements in the elevators about the great dining there at the hotel and the feedback that I got in a note from the hotel, extending a welcome to us and inviting us to come to their dining area, which is beautiful, but since it opened at four each day and we were out at other places, we didn’t know what to expect other than it looked beautiful and it was gonna be great, so that’s what we decided to do for dinner on a Saturday evening. We sat at a table by the window with a great view and found out that they didn’t really have food there for us. It was pouring rain outside and we had already stayed outside for quite a while waiting for a cab to get back to the hotel so we didn’t want to get back out again. The guy said he would get us some food from the kitchen and we thought OK they bought us two sandwiches and a plastic container, like from an airport convenience food counter. You don’t know how old they are you all of that besides the point we thought we were going to be able to eat a nice dinner there and we were sorely disappointed. That is too beautiful and area not to have had dining offered. It said happy hour snd then elevator and then dinner after. So of our two wonderful nights in Chicago my Saturday night was without a meal. That was beyond disappointing.

Me and my husband first booked hilton. And switched to holiday inn, because the website showed it had 2 restaurants, we did a weekend getaway. So we go down to the bar have a few drinks "service was great" and we went to order food to take to our room. Here is where the problem comes. The website shows they have food when really its premade out of the marketplace "which is well overpriced" we wanted a hotel with a restaurant i side so we didnt have to leave. The website is really misleading. (Pictures,wording) we was wondering while we was at the bar noone was at the restaurant. Now we know Overall the room and view was great but with no breakfast and no restaurant we will definitely look into staying somewhere else next time. For someone who wants to leave the property and go get food the hotel is amazing. But we wanted to stay inside and avoid the cold chicago breeze. And ended up still having to leave even tho the website says they have a bar and restaurant.
