Very handy to food and various little shops on Lincoln road - only a few minutes walk. Also only a few minutes drive to Westfield mall in Riccarton. Being on a main arterial route very easy to get to other places and areas in Christchurch. One small thing to note: you cannot turn right out of this place - you will need to turn left and either find somewhere to U turn or get Google or navigation to redirect. Motel itself decent, clean and gentleman who checked me in and showed me the room very helpful. Room was serviced daily with clean towels. Plenty of parking.

This is a decent NZ Motel style accommodation. Had a very pleasant welcome from the host reception which was real nice. Location on the arterial roads around Christchurch so with a big carpark is ideal for travellers with vehicles (M/Cycles etc) - Although not far walking from interesting Addington too. This was a great place to stay. Older property offerring excellent value for money. It is a two storey property. If you do t want to do the stairs, make sure you are booked on the ground floor. Would stay there again without hesitation.

This motel was cleaned quite well, but you had to walk over dog poop (some was old, old) to walk to your vehicle. Also the bed was uncomfortable - decor very old. The kitchen and bathroom were newer.

We stayed for three nights, it was quiet despite being near a main highway. The living and sleeping area was fine but we found the lack of an extractor fan in the bathroom and the window not being able to be open just a bit meant the room was damp and full of condensation, there was no shelving to put out toiletries on apart from a ledge by the pedestal basin. There was no smoke alarm fitted and the lighting was poor in the living area. It's just a bit tired and not up to even healthy homes standards. The proprietor was friendly and check in was easy.

This place is ok if you are on a really strict budget. However the beds were around 20 years old by the feel of them - huge rolltogether issues, springs digging into you, all that fun stuff. Otherwise rooms were an ok size, staff are nice and location is good. Shower a bit confusing as the mixer is upside down (facing up) and also on backwards and so instead of pulling out to turn on, you have to push it all the way in to the wall.

The only negative was the bed. Two singles had been put together so there was a really uncomfortable hard seam down the 'middle' where the bed edges were. A good mattress topper would probably solve this.

Always our go-to place when we stay in Christchurch - the owners are lovely and super hospitable and it’s cheap and cheerful with no extra frills - but that’s reflected in the price which is easily the best value in Canterbury especially with this location. Beds are comfy; rooms are spacious, shower is warm and carparking is included - all the things you need for a quick easy stopover in Chch.

Stated here a few times now. The owners are friendly and welcoming and so are most of the house keepers. Warm tidy room etc and quite affordable. Could do with new beds and bedding though 🙂

On avait réservé et payé 2 chambres aux noms de fangeat roland et fangeat corentin. Me presentant comme fangeat roland je n'ai pas eu la chambre de fangeat corentin. Nous avons donc passé la nuit a 3 dans la même chambre. S'apercevant de l'erreur le lendemain nous aons eu la deuxième chambre le deuxième jour Ils ont refusé de rembourser la première nuitée effectuée . J'ai eu 10 euros de compensation. Le jour du depart la comande du taxi n' a pas été effectué . C'est ma première mauvaise expérience en nouvelle zelande....les autres jours sont tres satifaisants et le service super. Roland
