Super 8 by Wyndham Imlay City

The facilities are in desperate need of repair and general upkeep. The room wasn't exactly clean.

Easy access right off the freeway basically. Main lobby was ok with a continental breakfast each morning (I did not take advantage of it, just saw it). The rooms have been updated as best as the building would allow. Meaning the bathroom (shower and toilet only) were very small in space, literally cramped. It is so small, you have to almost step into the tub to close the bathroom door. And the sink is not in that same room, it is across the entranceway not in the bathroom. It worked, but kinda odd setup. The king bed was comfy, but the pillows were not my liking as too 'plump' (like foam filled) with no give for your neck. AC worked well...but at some point there was a leak as the carpet had a water ring about 2ft from the AC unit. The carpet was dry, but I could see the dark ring where water must have, at one time, soaked the carpet. Oh and if you have a few suit cases and back pack, and your room is on the second floor, make sure to stretch your limbs as you have to lug your luggage (I see where that term came from) UP the stairs as there is NO elevator (add in me having knee replacements & recovering from a broken ankle still)...Upon checking in I asked for a ground level room (aka handicap) and they said there were none available, the hotel was booked solid. So the next morning, I literally felt the aches with my luggage. Area is nice, plenty of places to eat and shop. I give Super 8 a 6.5 out of 10...mainly due to no elevator and bathroom size.
