Family Lodge Hatagoya Kurobe

This hotel is run by an older Japanese couple and feels like staying in someone’s home. The motel is basically a Motel 6 in style but much cleaner and nicer. Although I speak limited Japanese I felt welcomed.The beds are Western style and very comfortable. The room was very clean. Breakfast was tea, coffee, or apple juice and delicious croissants. I had a nice view of some lovely green rice fields. There were laundry and vending machines. The room was large and spacious. Although it is by the freeway it was quiet. I would say it is a homey and more welcoming place than the Yard, and more restful.

This hotel has the vibes of a family restaurant. It's clean, the staff are nice and there's a light breakfast in the morning. The only issue is it's location, but if you dont need it to be anywhere but a place to stay, it is a good hotel :)

Comfortable Western style beds. Friendly and helpful staff who are patient and do the best they can with my limited Japanese skills. Awesome coffee maker, and orange juice and pastries in the morning for breakfast. Very clean.

オーナーの方から色々なお話が聞けて大変助かりました。気さくな方で楽しいひとときとなりましたし、勉強にもなりました。お部屋はとても綺麗で快適に過ごせました。淹れたてのコーヒーがとっても美味しかったです。

ベッドが大きくてびっくりしました。 クイーンサイズらしいです。 マットレスも硬めでとても寝やすかったです。 枕は1つしかありませんでしたが、、、 ビジネスホテルに泊まるよりとても快適に過ごせました。
