This was our first time staying at Suncadia. We did not think to research whether our room would have a mini fridge because what hotel doesnt?!? Spoiler alert, there are no fridges in the double queen rooms, so our snacks went to waste pretty quickly. Second, we asked the front desk if we could borrow a board game, but they do not have any. They do put out containers of stale smores supplies each night with no receptacle to put the supplies in, maybe your hands? Lastly, my daughter and I went to the hotel hot tub at 9 pm. There were dirty, wet towels all around the hot tub. We got in and noticed a strange smell, and then turned on the jets and the smell became very sewage-like. We went back to the room to shower and there was not hot water. I called the front desk and they said the water is "tricky", but sent an engineer. My daughter and I sat in stinky swimsuits for 2 hours and Adrian at the front deak would not allow us to shower in another room or switch to functional room without paying an additional deposit. Adrian said that there were no managers on duty and they would be sleeping! Like my 9 year old should have been! Finally, i developed a rash and washed us with water from the sink using the ice bucket. What a horrible experience! Also, they were sanding the baseboards all day in the hallway outside of the guest rooms and we woke up extremely congested. The property offers no continental breakfast, very few amenities, and is not very clean. Two thumbs down.

This is a BEAUTIFUL area and facilities which were well maintained and we had great service. Where this area is a little challenged is the quantity of users vs. availability of pool areas and dining options. There were previously three pool areas, but one has recently been allocated to owner/members only (the farm). This used to be available to guests of the resort. As for dining there are a couple options on the resort grounds and those in surrounding areas are limited. To add to the limitations, there is a lot of additional construction for homes for owner/members so I would be concerned about worsening availability for pool & dining in the future. One other word of caution would be to understand the spa cost in advance. The pricing was not very transparent. Again, great quality and service, but I was a little surprised at the cost. In the end, this is a beautiful facility and if water/swim and/or dining based activities are not as important to your visit then this may not be as big a concern.

There was only one working elevator but also no option to use stairs to get down to the lobby from your room. The fire stairs put you outside in inconvenient areas so you have to walk around until you find an entrance. The food at any of the restaurants is basically the same and expensive. I paid $22 for a completely cold standard breakfast. The winery for dinner offers a Seasonal Fruit plate for $22, then it is offered for $17 for breakfast. Either way it’s stupid expensive for fruit.

We stayed at the lodge which included access to additional areas of the resort such as multiple pools, yard games and the spa. Initial impression was great, friendly staff, hotel was clean and has a good layout. Lots of families and lots of people with dogs. Restaurant and bar had good quality food and drinks. Huge rave for how quiet it was in the room and hallways. Never heard outside noise despite it being a packed house. A few minor issues. Asked staff about certain events and they weren’t knowledgeable about them and had to check their own website but still couldn’t elaborate. We stayed three nights and never had housekeeping show up to restock things such as coffee and toilet paper. When we left Monday morning at 6am there was one person working the front desk and he was also acting as the valet so it took a little longer than I would have liked to check out (kind of petty I know). I was also left disappointed Monday morning when the lobby had not been cleaned, the floors weren’t swept and there were takeout boxes left around that appeared to have been there from the night before. For the price of the resort I would have expected those minor issues to have not come up. That being said, the resort is very nice, the facilities are very nice and the large pool area is great for families, get their early to get a spot as chairs go fast.

The resort property was very beautiful and full of amenities. The Lodge, where we stayed in a spacious one bedroom suite, had its own pool, hot tub, restaurant, bar and coffee shop. The fitness center was very well-equipped and spacious. A large pool, hot tubs, sauna and steam room were very nice…lots of little kids and families when we were there. We ate at both restaurants; good food, fair portions, and friendly service. The onsite winery was a big hit and highly recommended. The grounds of the resort have many trails and are beautiful! Highly recommend this property.

We loved our stay here with 3 kids. They have a pool right next to the hotel and 3 more pools and slides about 7 minutes walk from the resort at the sport facilities. Very clean and well kept up.

Positives: 1) Breath taking views. Splurge for a room with a view. 2) very nice room, comfortable beds 3) Friendly staff 4) Keurig with pods in the room Negatives: 1) Main restaurant/entrance being renovated as of March 2024. So photos of front lobby/restaurant are misleading/not there. Also, options for food was visit the bar (not available for under 21), take out, room service, or go to the restaurant at The Inn down the road. Didn’t realize this until we arrived at 6pm, so ended up with room service as we were traveling with kids and no reservations at the Inn restaurant. On the plus side, food was good. 2) Room was clean, but found old gummy bear under bed and used Keurig pod in the coffee set-up 3) Jacuzzi wasn’t working … colder than the pool 4) dirty wine glasses left about the community firepit (still there at 930am) 5) Ample, friendly staff … but unclear what they were all doing. Overall, the view from our room made up for all of the shortcomings of the “resort”. Not sure id stay here again and pay a resort fee for a cold jacuzzi and unkept facilities.

Shower curtain with mold all over it, towels left out all over pool area frozen to the ground, dangerous, no where to walk bc it’s icy, no microwave or fridge in room even tho that was promised. 2 large containers of hot chocolate empty, so we had noting to drink while waiting hours for a room, and it’s dark outside. Waited 4 hours after check in time to get a room. Chaotic and crazy in the lobby. Jets broken on hot tub but you don’t know until you go out there in 1 degree weather.

Check-in took 45 minutes while she was checking to see if we could upgrade our room to river view. She said the manager had to approve the change but she was in a meeting so we could go to our original room and she would call us when we could go to our river view room. She said she put a hold on the room so not to worry. We went to our room and discovered that it was not a "resort view" but rather a parking lot view. After 2 hours with no call and it being 6 pm on Friday before Labor Day I tried to call the front desk but no answer. So I went back down and asked what was up. She avoided me and handed me off to someone else. He told me there were no river view rooms available. I left a message for the manager but I still have never got a call back. Later we found there was a used bar of soap still in the tub. We asked to have the tub cleaned and the soap removed. Two hours later it was still there. Tried to call the front desk but again, no answer. Went back down and he said someone would be up to clean it right away. 45 minutes later I called and low and behold, someone answered. Right as he did there was a knock on the door. She came in and said that she got the message earlier but they just told her we needed more soap so she brought it to us. She cleaned the tub and removed the soap. Then I froze my ass off all night even though the heat was set to 75. I called the next day and someone came and fixed the heat. Then left the door ajar when he left.

This area is beyond beautiful! We were beyond greatful for an early check in as we were there for a wedding! When we arrived to our room we looked out the windows and discovered that the curtain rod was damaged/dangling and blood on the window sill. I simply went down the hall and asked to borrow a rag and cleaner to clean the blood up myself. We then reported the dmaged curtain to the desk and the maintenance man attempted to fix it but didnt have the part (Using the coffee table as a step stool is fin but at least wipe it down after). When going to close the curtain for the evening there was a bright green booger on the sheer curtain. Went to shower and saw something on the curtain and discovered again more blood. Went to use the coffee machine and passed with the amount of dust on top. Later i went to turn the desk lamp on to discover thag it was unplugged, no biggie i just plugged it back in, and then turned it on to a burnt out bulb. The hallways you can tell there was previously art of some sort hanging, debris in the light fixtures, and just a funky smell. Also, around 9:30 am one of the staff members entered my room without knocking or announcing. They claimed that they thought we had checked and didnt even get an apology. They did attempt to make it right and offered a $100.00 voucher and comped a couple of drinks but that doesnt compensate for the blood/boogers/dust/room entry and paying upwards of $500 for one night.

The rates they are charging for their hotel is absurd. They are really missing the mark here. The room wasn’t ready when we arrived. We waited about 20-30 minutes. And when we got to our room, it was filthy. Food all over the couch, stains all over the walls, pubic hair all over the bathroom, it looked like it hadn’t even been cleaned. The room furniture was old and falling apart. Very dated. The carpet was all bunching up and uneven in a lot of areas. The property isn’t very well up-kept, it was dingy, and old looking. The restaurant was painfully slow. We waited about 1.5 hrs for our food. The poor bar server was handling about 7 tables himself, 5 people at a table each. We felt really bad for him. The food, however, was really really good. They did free s'more's from 7-9pm which was really cool. The pools are very well kept and warm! We really enjoyed that part. Overall, I probably wouldn’t visit again. It’s way too expensive for the quality of the property.

Overall our stay was nice, we had a lot of fun as a family. The pool facilities were ok, but the bathrooms were awful and dirty. Also, we called for towels in our room (no maid service during our stay) and the person who came to deliver the towels knocked once on the door and opened the door into our room. This was unacceptable.

Beautiful setting. Staff are all very helpful, proactive and kind. I checkednin easliely and my room was ready which was so appreciated given how much it costa for less than 24hr stay. There were some very upset families in the lobby who were waiting till 6 or later for their rooms to be ready- made me fearful for future stays. Room was very clean but missing sheets on couchbed. Quicky brought sheets when asked though! Lobby was very messy with cups, smears on glass windows and tables, garbage on ground (as if it had been very busy and then clean up hadnt happened yet). Food and server at restaurant was wonderful!

There were some very upset families in the lobby who were waiting till 6 or later for their rooms to be ready- made me fearful for future stays. Room was very clean but missing sheets on couchbed. Quicky brought sheets when asked though! Lobby was very messy with cups, smears on glass windows and tables, garbage on ground (as if it had been very busy and then clean up hadnt happened yet). Food and server at restaurant was wonderful!

For the rates being charged, the condition of the rooms is less than satisfactory. The room looked out over a section of the roof that had a drain filled with garbage and debris. The in-room safe was inoperable when we arrived (fixed after we called), stained and loose carpet, dresser drawers that didn’t close and appeared only to be “surface cleaned.” On the plus side - Great location, beautiful grounds, excellent golf courses and superior amenities.

The rates they are charging for their hotel is absurd. They are really missing the mark here. The room wasn’t ready when we arrived. We waited about 20-30 minutes. And when we got to our room, it was filthy. Food all over the couch, stains all over the walls, pubic hair all over the bathroom, it looked like it hadn’t even been cleaned. The room furniture was old and falling apart. Very dated. The carpet was all bunching up and uneven in a lot of areas. The property isn’t very well up-kept, it was dingy, and old looking. The restaurant was painfully slow. We waited about 1.5 hrs for our food. The poor bar server was handling about 7 tables himself, 5 people at a table each. We felt really bad for him. The food, however, was really really good. They did free s'more's from 7-9pm which was really cool. The pools are very well kept and warm! We really enjoyed that part. Overall, I probably wouldn’t visit again. It’s way too expensive for the quality of the property.

The room we were put in had no decent views despite it showing in the bookings we were gonna have resort views, we had to pay an extra $80 to be moved into one of those rooms, This place is very pricey and I’m not sure why amenities make that price worth it but it’s certainly not what close to what they charge, it’s a very average resort with old and outdated facilities!! We had flies all over our drinks and food in the rooms, it was extremely disappointing!! The staffs were excellent and paid close attention to our needs!! Overall I doubt I’ll be returning

We stayed at the lodge which included access to additional areas of the resort such as multiple pools, yard games and the spa. Initial impression was great, friendly staff, hotel was clean and has a good layout. Lots of families and lots of people with dogs. Restaurant and bar had good quality food and drinks. Huge rave for how quiet it was in the room and hallways. Never heard outside noise despite it being a packed house. A few minor issues. Asked staff about certain events and they weren’t knowledgeable about them and had to check their own website but still couldn’t elaborate. We stayed three nights and never had housekeeping show up to restock things such as coffee and toilet paper. When we left Monday morning at 6am there was one person working the front desk and he was also acting as the valet so it took a little longer than I would have liked to check out (kind of petty I know). I was also left disappointed Monday morning when the lobby had not been cleaned, the floors weren’t swept and there were takeout boxes left around that appeared to have been there from the night before. For the price of the resort I would have expected those minor issues to have not come up. That being said, the resort is very nice, the facilities are very nice and the large pool area is great for families, get their early to get a spot as chairs go fast.

This review will probably say more about me than the Lodge at Suncadia but here it goes. We arrived a little early and we're politely waiting for an early check in but had to wait until almost 5:00 to be granted our keys. The text to tell us our room was ready never arrived and my third trip to the front desk resulted in "Oh, you never got the text? Your room has been ready for you" (Thanks Danielle). Miss D cheerfully informed me that we were being given a nice upgrade to a one bedroom suite. Nice touch, thank you. It was 116 steps from the elevator to our room. It was overall a Very nice room. I walked to the patio door and opened the curtains to reveal a breathtaking view of the roof over the kitchen complex complete with ventilation ducting pumping hot greasy air that was blowning directly onto our nicely appointed patio and into our room filling it with the presence of bacon, sausages and French fry grease. And to think I had parked in a dirty dusty parking lot, braved a treacherous narrow dirt walking path where I could have plunged over 6 feet had I made even 1 slight misstep. I was in a cranky mood when I arrived. On the positive side.... which would have been the other side of the building; the one with the Great sunset views and all natural setting, it was an overall good overnight visit. We really enjoyed strolling around the quaint city of Roslyn just 10 minutes away. We ate ate The Brick then went back for dinner at Village Pizza. Both

We love the Suncadia resort and community. However the Inn needs a refresh and some basic upkeep. The walls are scratched, dented and the wood finish on the furniture is worn. The bed was not very uncomfortable and moved a lot when the other person moved even a little. The footprint of the rooms and fireplace is great just time for renovation.

We got stuck in one of the only rooms with no mini fridge or microwave. Disappointing since I paid almost $300 for one night and we could not keep our beverages cold or heat up our leftovers. Other than that it was nice.

This was our first time staying at Suncadia. We did not think to research whether our room would have a mini fridge because what hotel doesnt?!? Spoiler alert, there are no fridges in the double queen rooms, so our snacks went to waste pretty quickly. Second, we asked the front desk if we could borrow a board game, but they do not have any. They do put out containers of stale smores supplies each night with no receptacle to put the supplies in, maybe your hands? Lastly, my daughter and I went to the hotel hot tub at 9 pm. There were dirty, wet towels all around the hot tub. We got in and noticed a strange smell, and then turned on the jets and the smell became very sewage-like. We went back to the room to shower and there was not hot water. I called the front desk and they said the water is "tricky", but sent an engineer. My daughter and I sat in stinky swimsuits for 2 hours and Adrian at the front deak would not allow us to shower in another room or switch to functional room without paying an additional deposit. Adrian said that there were no managers on duty and they would be sleeping! Like my 9 year old should have been! Finally, i developed a rash and washed us with water from the sink using the ice bucket. What a horrible experience! Also, they were sanding the baseboards all day in the hallway outside of the guest rooms and we woke up extremely congested. The property offers no continental breakfast, very few amenities, and is not very clean. Two thumbs down.

Check-in took 45 minutes while she was checking to see if we could upgrade our room to river view. She said the manager had to approve the change but she was in a meeting so we could go to our original room and she would call us when we could go to our river view room. She said she put a hold on the room so not to worry. We went to our room and discovered that it was not a "resort view" but rather a parking lot view. After 2 hours with no call and it being 6 pm on Friday before Labor Day I tried to call the front desk but no answer. So I went back down and asked what was up. She avoided me and handed me off to someone else. He told me there were no river view rooms available. I left a message for the manager but I still have never got a call back. Later we found there was a used bar of soap still in the tub. We asked to have the tub cleaned and the soap removed. Two hours later it was still there. Tried to call the front desk but again, no answer. Went back down and he said someone would be up to clean it right away. 45 minutes later I called and low and behold, someone answered. Right as he did there was a knock on the door. She came in and said that she got the message earlier but they just told her we needed more soap so she brought it to us. She cleaned the tub and removed the soap. Then I froze my ass off all night even though the heat was set to 75. I called the next day and someone came and fixed the heat. Then left the door ajar when he left.

Really beautiful property. Not very well managed. Staff are very nice but understaffed and poorly trained. Realize you're gonna have to really dig to find out what you can do around Property as the front desk when you register won't tell you and may not have answers to any other questions.

The views are excellent, the staffs were very welcoming and create a vibrant atmosphere. However they are understaffed and our rooms were not cleaned even once during our 2 night 3 days stay. They were just able to give out a resort credit to compensate it.

We really liked the surrounding area and outdoor recreation options. However, check-in was long and our room was not ready and available until 5:50. Also, our dinner, in the dining room, was sub-optimal, there was just no taste to the dish. Our breakfast, in the dining room, was excellent! Not sure what the difference was.

This resort is a hidden gem in a beautiful location, and we will definitely plan another trip here. The lodge is beautiful, restaurants had great food and is tucked away in nature amongst the forest and running river. There is so much to do here - golf, wine tasting, hiking, biking, etc We will book a longer stay next time.

Condo was great, quiet and just across from the main lodge for easy access to dining and a pool. A lot of great walking and biking paths for active families. Easy biking into Roslyn too. Not a wide variety of dining options so stop at the grocery store and take advantage of the kitchen or BBQ behind the condo building.

The resort property was very beautiful and full of amenities. The Lodge, where we stayed in a spacious one bedroom suite, had its own pool, hot tub, restaurant, bar and coffee shop. The fitness center was very well-equipped and spacious. A large pool, hot tubs, sauna and steam room were very nice…lots of little kids and families when we were there. We ate at both restaurants; good food, fair portions, and friendly service. The onsite winery was a big hit and highly recommended. The grounds of the resort have many trails and are beautiful! Liked: Suncadia is a gorgeous property. The pine forest surrounding it and the views from the large windows in the dining area and lounges are exquisite. Walkability on the property is excellent, the spa enjoyable, and my grandson enjoyed the pool. I needed the time to rest and recharge. Mission accomplished. I found speed limits odd driving into and out of the resort. Randomly they changed between 19mph, 15mph, 20mph, and 25mp. I was told that slow speed was so cars would be able to stop for animals crossing the road. We didn't site any, but we were definitely on our toes and able to stop if need be. Nothing we didn't like. What's not to like in the midst of a beautiful pine forest? Happy guest!

While unplanned on our part, we ended up staying the weekend of the Harvest Festival. The lobby to Lodge was very crowded most all of the time with families. We didn't make use of it. The room was great. And the front desk and concierge services were excellent. We ended up eating at the two other restaurants away from the Lodge. The shuttle service to the restaurants worked out really well. The food and service were excellent - also very busy. The concierge made reservations for us. There were a lot of dogs on the property. We had a neighbor that left theirs who was barking for over an hour, past 10pm. When I called the front desk to let the know, they contacted the owners and it stopped within just a few minutes. We decided to play golf away from Suncadia, just too pricey for my level of golf play. We went for a nice walk/hike around the property which which beautiful. The rates they are charging for their hotel is absurd. They are really missing the mark here. The room wasn’t ready when we arrived. We waited about 20-30 minutes. And when we got to our room, it was filthy. Food all over the couch, stains all over the walls, pubic hair all over the bathroom, it looked like it hadn’t even been cleaned. The room furniture was old and falling apart. Very dated. The carpet was all bunching up and uneven in a lot of areas. The property isn’t very well up-kept, it was dingy, and old looking. The restaurant was painfully slow. We waited about 1.5 hrs for our food. The poor bar server was handling about 7 tables himself, 5 people at a table each. We felt really bad for him. The food, however, was really really good. They did free s'more's from 7-9pm which was really cool. The pools are very well kept and warm! We really enjoyed that part. Overall, I probably wouldn’t visit again. It’s way too expensive for the quality of the property.

Disappointed to discover at check-in the lobby, restaurants and bars were all under renovation. The bar was 21 and they had added no additional seating in the adjoining room so nowhere to sit as a family. Unfortunately we had not read the reviews as had been to this property previously so we were unaware of the renovation and it wasn’t indicated for anywhere else.

We really liked the surrounding area and outdoor recreation options. However, check-in was long and our room was not ready and available until 5:50. Also, our dinner, in the dining room, was sub-optimal, there was just no taste to the dish. Our breakfast, in the dining room, was excellent! Not sure what the difference was.

Such a nice getaway with my dog! The resort is super dog-friendly, the staff are wonderful, and the property is beautiful. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because they stated the pet fee includes dog amenities, but we weren't provided with anything for our dog. Except for this, it was a lovely stay and we would like to visit again!

Mere hours after the policy cutoff, they wouldn't even shift the reservation to their most dead time of year. I thought I might find someone to pay $500 for a $766/night 2-bedroom condo, but the best I could do was $350. $416 vaporized was painful. A policy is a policy, they're in their rights, just a warning.
