For a 4 star property, it would be appreciated if a coffee machine is available in the room and a bell boy to assist with luggages to the room. Even with a lift, there are steps up/down to get to the room. Location is great. Jessa front desk is super helpful.

Very old and charming hotel. Loved that it provided a mini fridge but no AC and no safe. Parking inside the old town is not recommended but luckily, the hotel allows you to park for 15 min while you get your suitcases into your room.you then have to go park outside the city walls which is about a 10 min walk.

Beautiful place, beautiful town. Difficult parking. Park outside any of the city walls that go around the entire old town you will need your phone on roaming to find the hotel. for a 7 euro a day to park… pay with credit card for each 24 hours you are there. Then walk in . Once you get your footing it’s pretty easy. Very worth going. Try to exchange euro at a bank not an atm in the tourist area bc they will charge you a lot! Like 30$ per 100 euro rip off. Also have euro on hand bc many restaurants do not accept credit card or us cash. It’s euro only .

Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Das Hotel liegt direkt im Zentrum, so konnten wir unsere Besichtigungen alle zu Fuß unternehmen. Großzügige Doppelzimmer. Der vorab reservierte und überdachte Parkplatz war etwa 400 m vom Hotel entfernt, Kosten pro Nacht 12 Euro. Das Frühstücksbuffet war sehr umfangreich und wurde immer wieder nachgefüllt.

Das Zimmer hat stark nach Schimmel gerochen. Ich hatte über die ganze Dauer Kopfschmerzen und Atemprobleme. So etwas sollte man nicht vermieten in einem Viersterne-Hotel. Lage in der Altstadt ist toll. Frühstücksbuffet hat grosse Auswahl, wird aber kaum nachgefüllt weil zuwenig Personal, das mit Abräumen beschäftigt ist.

Die Betten waren für uns beide katastrophal. Nach der ersten Nacht hatten wir beide Rückenschmerzen; nach der zweiten Nacht konnte ich mich kaum noch bewegen. Sie sind wohl eher geeignet für asiatische Gäste mit einem Gewicht unter 50 kg.

Perfect location right next to the market square, close to everything we wanted to do and see. Our room was big with a great view of the city and valley. The shower was a bit small, there was some paint peeling here and there, but that didn’t take away from our overall experience. Will stay here next time we come to Rothenburg ODT

While the location of this hotel is breathtakingly beautiful, our stay was far from perfect. The town itself is very challenging to drive through, and the designated parking area is quite a walk from the hotel. We were told our room would be ready at 1 p.m. but had to wait until 3 p.m. for check-in. The room was large and offered plenty of space, but the heat was unbearable due to a lack of air conditioning. The most disappointing part, however, was the bed. Both the mattress and pillows were extremely hard, and we ended up with little to no sleep. Staying for just one night was a relief. For future guests, we hope the hotel considers replacing the old, uncomfortable mattresses and pillows.

Nice hotel with a lot of charm and friendly staff located right in the centre of Rothenburg. Room was cozy and spacious but improvements could me made. Lack of electrical sockets is annoying, especially by the desk, and annoying to have to choose between a bed side lamp or plugging in my phone at night. The place really needs double glazing, they must spend a fortune on heating. Very noisy through room connecting door, snoring/talking/TV could be heard from next room. Bathroom functional but dated, replacing the old tub with a modern shower would help a lot. Breakfast was disappointing. No imagination on choices, too much food drying out under heat lamps. For the €19 paid it should be much better. Overall very pleasant stay, but more attention to detail could make this place very good.

Great location for the Christmas markets but rooms are a bit outdated. Tub/shower was difficult to navigate. The room was really hot and we had to open a window all night to stay cool (it was December).

The hotel was very classic. Rooms were clean but small. Most of the front staff were very nice. One was very inflexible. Check in was 3 pm, not a minute sooner. At 3 pm there was a huge lineup for people to get their room. We also needed some flexibility when it came to breakfast. My husband wasn't feeling goid that morning, so i went down to the front desk at 7 am to let them know we were not able to make breakfast. She was gokng to charge me 80%, which under the circumstances seems a but unfair. She finally relented. The rest of the staff were great.

I highly recommend a stay at the Eisenhut. The location is superb, the staff welcoming and helpful, and our room with balcony was lovely. I recommend staying for at least 2 nights to really get to enjoy the town and facility. We will definitely be bqck.

Front desk person never got close to a smile. She was closer to rude. Please hire folks that will greet with welcoming attitude and be friendly. Also We never knew we had to pre register for parking no email no notification. So we were told no option with hotel. Bed is the hardest mattress ever. We had worse sleep of entire trip. No coffee maker in room. No wash cloths. Flooring level changes between bedroom entry and bath so very easy to stub toe in the night. Never staying here again.

Hotel located near the Rothenburg main square. The neighborhood include the famous Christmas shop. Indeed, the location is wonderful and the building is a historical one which made us live the Rothenburg history. The room was big. We had two bathrooms and, apart from the bedroom, one more room with a sofa and a tv. Unfortunately the furniture was dated and cheap, and we did not like the reasturant including breakfast.

Beautiful hotel in the center of Rothenburg, literally next door to the famous Kathe Wohlfahrt Christmas store and across the street from the center of town/the Christmas Market. We stayed in the guest house/hotel across from the main hotel. Our room felt like an apartment - huge hallway/entryway, separate door to bedroom. Room is definitely built a long time ago, which is the charm of this city. Radiator in hallway heats room effectively. Only negative to speak of is the weak power of the hairdryer. Incredible breakfast and very kind staff. Highly recommend!!

Breakfast wasn’t good, didn’t enjoy due flies everywhere. Staff wasn’t very attentive or helpful. Parking is far away. No valet service available. Hard to go around driving through town. Narrow streets, lots of people crossing, easy to take a wrong turn due to confusing signs.

Utrolig fint og romantisk hotell midt i sentrum av Rothenburg. Rommene er flott innredet og de har beholdt den historiske stilen. Hyggelig personale. Frokosten var god, og middagen i restauranten var fantastisk. Parkeringen hotellet tilbyr er en offentlig parkeringsplass 5-10 min gange fra hotellet, og koster 6 euro per døgn.

This was a great hotel with a separate living room area, two bathrooms, two fans and beautiful view. Town was great, lots to see and lots of shopping. Navigating with a vehicle priced to be challenging but worth it. Restaurant was great as was the buffet breakfast

Unique historic building situated with a few steps to the Market Square. Excellent dinner and service in restaurant. Reception staff helpful but not very cheerful, which after a long journey and upon asking for assistance would have been nice to see a smile.
