DEV Hotel and Conference Centre

Parking so far away from the building, long hallway to get to room, pool wasn't open even though when I reserved the room a month in advance it was not open then either. So over a month it had been closed. Although there were two bathrooms to joint room, they were both very small.

Dry clean hotel all around. Nice pub with a great restaurant. They have a very nice outdoor patio with a huge fire pit that many people sat around conversing through the night. I’d recommend this place to anyone passing through.

We enjoyed the fire pit, beds were comfortable. Slept well. The elevator is really far away from the main entrance. Be prepared for lots of walking. Staff was super friendly. The luggage cart was broken. It’s easy to get lost at this large hotel. Our overall experience was great.

Welcoming staff in every area. Bar staff very friendly and helpful with knowledge of the local area. Pool amazing size and catering excellent. Would definitely recommend. So pleased we stayed an extra night and receptionist couldn't have been more helpful.

Huge Hotel, Buffet almost empty 1,5 hour before closing, Gym needs to be better updated with weight and towers to my opinion.

The rooms are very small ( dorm rooms ) Parking is a bit of a walk if you have luggage Lots of waking up ramps instead of elevator( if you have luggage) Nice warm large pool

I never yet saw a sign to say it was actually a hotel. It was however a lovely stopover. Pool hours not much use when your on the road for the day..12 - 8. Staff first class.

The hotel is clean and quiet. The check in process was smooth. The hotel "upgraded" us from a Standard room to a Suite, which we were not prepared for, in the process seem to have lost our breakfast being included, as I chose when booking through Expedia. The room was nice, although it did smell a bit musty and the bathroom was small. The vending machine is where you can get soft drinks and water at any time which was broken Saturday, making a horrific sound non stop. Night desk clerk Aeran had put a call in for it to be fixed, yet was still broken Sunday when we checked out. I think the DEV hotel might be dealing with some upkeep issues, as another guest mentioned that their coffee maker and something else in their room wasn't working. Shout out to Server Therese and Sous Chef Paul, who were very helpful about our free breakfast being denied by front desk staff Tiffany, who was quite frankly VERY rude and literally told me "prove it" and then I wasn't able to access my booking information about this on Expedia and made me wish I had printed everything before leaving home instead, because this is something I always check for when booking hotels and left us scrambling to find some place else for breakfast. There is a really nice walking/biking path across the road from the hotel, which has an aviation theme by the way. Despite our experience with Tiffany, the fact that Paul fixed it, improved my opinion. I would have given 5 stars if not for dealing with her bad attitude

We booked this place as a stop in stay during travels for one evening. Based on the reviews and pictures we were convinced it would be a good option for a stop in. While i cant speak entirely to the common areas as we arrived late at night i will say from the moment we walked in it gave off vibes of a student residence/dorm rooms. Sadly that equally extended to the room. The mattresses were so old and terrible. The pull out couch mattress even worst with red and yellow stains. An extremely leaky sink faucet we could not get to stop. The laminate counter top was bubling and had mold on thr caulking and the caulking was also stripped in some areas. The toilet was the size of a toilet you would find in a kindergaten classroom. We all woke up swollen with extreme pressure in our heads and as soon as we got out of the building we slowly started to feel better and throughout the day the swelling in everyones fingers including out children started to go down. We travel often and stay many places and while I do hold a bar of places I am willing to stay having reviews claiming this was a 10/10 exceptional place this could not have been further from the truth on our experience.

Room was very clean, good amenities. Simple and a bit small for the single queen room. only complaint is the adjoining door to the next room did not have good sound proofing. Can hear everything next door was doing, their talking, tv etc..Could also hear everything in the hall way as well, good thing they weren't too loud and I got to sleep.

The room is very small. not much room for 2 people Tv is from the 90's. Basic cable very dumb. The bathroom tub floor is plastic. Feeling like you would fall through it. Way overpriced at $208 for a supposedly queen room and bed was very uncomfortable and slanted to the middle. Don't stay there. Found out today that residents of Cornwall advise visitors not to stay there. Expedia should remove it from there site.

Booked room did not exist. Overcharged for the room we did get. Terrible reception service as neither staff knew anything about the room we booked. Shower was very weak and water difficult to turn off. Would not recommend

Amazing staff! Home to the Ontario Police College

The best part of this property is the staff! Carol, Vanessa and Aeren behind the front desk were always so welcoming!

Staff were very accommodating, initially had an issue with our booking but it was soon rectified. Very pleased with the solution. Provided tips for surrounding points of interest to explore. Big Ribfest weekend! Not sure what the rooms looked like before the reno but they spared no expense in creating a comfortable environment to work and recharge. All the available amenities were provided - access to gym, tennis courts and onsite pub.

Easy to get to. Bed was good. The refrigertor was quite noisy. Excellent bathroom.

What a great hotel! We only stayed here for one night but wish it had been longer! Very well decorated, clean, comfortable beds, and very friendly staff. The connected restaurant was delicious and even had love music outside when we were there! Would definitely stay here again.
