Hôtel Mont Gabriel

The property surroundings are beautiful, grounds nicely kept. Our room was fresh and modern. We appreciated the in room Nespresso coffee maker, pet bed and bowls and treats for our dog. During our two night stay there was no coffee refill and room cleaning that we actually didn’t mind. We were given coffee pods when asked. The only negative experience was that the inside and outside saunas didn’t work.

Beautiful view from balcony of mountains. Great pool and hot tub to relax in. Challenging golf course.

The swimmings pools and spa were excellent as the cuisine for our dinner. But the directions to the pools were inadequate and force to mess around in a "maze". Also, the fact that outside access doors cannot be opened with our access card force us to go all the way back and from to get luggages from our car to our room .... extremely annoying and time/effort consuming. No way, do we recommend.

Was VERY impressed with our stay. The pools, hot tubs, games for kids and the food at Hartford Restaurant was incredible. The views from our mountain view room was breathtaking. Perfect getaway for my family, will definitely go back again.

Surprise par la beauté et l'entretien du terrain de golf, paysages à couper le souffle, le spa et la piscine sont biens entretenus, les employés sont supers gentils, nous y retournerons

Chambre vaste et bien meublée. Personnel des plus affables. Spa, les soins sont très bien. Piscine intérieure chauffée excellente. bons petits déjeuners, possibilité de recharge pour autos électriques.

The hill to get to hotel is very steep. The entrance of property is grand. The reception staff was very polite and professional. We had to change rooms due to faulty breaker, no TV and some lights did not work. Room was very clean. The pool area was very nice. Although from our room in the nature section we had to walk through many public areas to get to pool. Not so convenient. Did not partake in our breakfast which was prepaid. There is nothing near the hotel. St Sauveur is very close driving.

It was disappointing.. the gym was closed for renovations .. they had empty room they could have transfer the équipement in .. the spa was not that clean .. you had to make reservations for diner that they did not tell us when we arrived .. over all did not like the place .. would not recommend

We were very much impressed by the quality of the service all along the weekend! From the reception to the cleaning staff to the restaurant servers and everybody was super nice and always willing to answer us with a smile! The outdoor hot pool is amazing. It has powerful water jets and has this spa vibe to it. So no need to pay to go to the commercial spa… we had our own private one. One downside is that neither of the 2 dry saunas worked well. Also, we were very pleased to get an upgraded room in the original section which was in fact more like a suite. This section is like living in a log cabin but very chic and cozy. It had a wonderful fire place (fueled by gas). Bathroom was pretty small but still lovely and the rest of the suite was very comfy. Great place!

It's like a small resort with nice grounds. Staff is nice and friendly. Rooms could be dusted better. It's disturbing to hear the loud neighbors at night in adjacent rooms and other people smoking outside on balcony easily gets through into the rooms inside. Feels like you're in a smoking room.

From first hour to last hour we had no clean bed sheets, no clean comforters, there was bugs in my room. No room service. Restaurant was closed due to a wedding. Only the other bar restaurant was open which had bad food options. Jacuzzi was shut down and broken, the indoor pool was dirty and cold. Very dirty and puddles everywhere. The outdoor pool had no chairs for us. No towels, ran out of towels for the bathroom and the pool. It was a horrible experience. Our room wasn’t ready upon arrival at 6 pm. Just lot of things wrong.

We loved our stay but there are some real areas that need improvement - rooms are renovated and lovely, but a few areas (like the pool) are still old and dirty looking. Service was generally confused and bumbling, a bit like Fawlty Towers (e.g. Breakfast was included on my booking, but I was challenged to prove it every single morning). Weak towel rack supporting a massive weight of towels is destined to fail in every room (see image). There is no "do not disturb" option, cleaner will just come into your room without knocking at times. Worst of all the bottom floor of Mountain View side of hotel regularly floods covering the entire hallway, and they just use a loud vacuum all day and night to clean it, somehow they can't find a plumber (I was told the issue is recurring). Positives - In spite of all these things, I love this hotel and I'll definitely be back. Amazing location for hassle free skiing. Breakfast buffet is excellent, as is the rest of the food. Hotel vibe is very charming, wander to the pub after a hard day of skiing and have a cheap delicious meal in front of the fireplace. Staff are lovely, when they figure out what's going on (they perhaps just need a more experienced manager or better processes to work with). Guests all appear to be having a great time in the sprawling shared space areas, which are another big part of the hotel's charm. Very unique hotel.

Un cadre magnifique . Personnel aimable . Chambre spatieuse et calme. Points négatifs : une chaleur extrême dans la chambre, on a dû dormir les fenêtres ouvertes en octobre … le sauna ainsi que le spa et les installations de piscine sont un peu vieilles . La femme de ménage n’a pas fait le lit en faisant le ménage de notre chambre … quelques déceptions pour un hôtel 4 étoiles .

We were there for a relaxing anniversary weekend, we were unable to sleep or feel any form of privacy as our walls were paper thin. We could hear music, talking, a cough , everything. Unable to even sleep in due to the noise.

I loved the stay! Room was amazing and very spacious and clean! The beds were super comfortable. The staff was great as well and i love the fact that they have the restaurant but also the bistro! The spas were definitely enjoyable and the resort was big enough that we didn’t feel too tight with all the guests! It was very relaxing! Definitely will go back

The room was gorgeous, the shower was amazing with the overhead rainwater shower head plus hand held one. Loved the scent and availability of the 3 bottles of shampoo, conditioner and body wash soap. My only issue was not having a luggage rack near the closet section. Had to pull items from the floor rather than the luggage being elevated with rack. The other minor issue was having to listen to fan every time the bathroom light was turned on. The fan feature should be separate. Overall, the grounds and what the hotel had to offer with its amenities was top notch. Would recommend and love to return!

Too much noise from the next room we have heard children crying all night long POOR INSULATION

Perfect stay! I walked in on crutches and the manager (I assume) welcomed me very warmly. I checked in and she told the clerk to upgrade us to a closer room ao its easier for me. It ended up being closer, but also bigger with an insane view. Room was renovated, clean and soooo calming. Exactlt what we needed. We didnt use the amenities but the pool area is super nice and all the staff was nice and attentive.

Bed , no loft, firm with no topper. Hartford restaurant lacks hospitable service, servers too busy in an empty restaurant to acknowledge us, long wait to be served. Easy to get to this hotel and its beautifully clean. Balcony view obstructed by lack of landscaping.

Nice resort. Arrived early room wasn’t ready asked for text when ready and never came. Went to desk and room was ready they never let us know.

Check in time was delayed 1-2 hours

From check in, to dining, to check out we were treated so well by an amazingly friendly staff. Everything was so clean and beautifully laid out. I will definitely be returning!!

Restaurant service was very very slow, waited an hour and 40 minutes for food and were not even offered water.

Love the new renovations. They did an excellent job blending the old with the new. It felt like a mini resort in the mountains. We did a quick in/out as we were visiting friends in the area so didn’t get to profit much this time on the amenities. The breakfast was average, the service was excellent.

This was an amazing hotel to stay at close to skiing. Very comfortable. The outdoor hot tub was amazing. Staff was very helpful. Stayed with family. Will stay again

It’s a lively place to stay. Just 8 minutes to centr ville Sauveur. Deceptive pictures on Expedia listing however with the lazy river and slides…that’s not at their hotel, those are pictures from the water park.

Very nice. We enjoy diner 5 services and good wine. Nice hot tub!

Really bad management of the dinning room. They had reserved for all meals for groups leaving other clients to run around town to find food. It should be first comes first like another restaurent. When you fo to such a place to cocoon with your partner, it defeats the purpose. I will not return and not recommend to friends for that reason.

The hotel was in much worse state than in the picture + their hotel restaurant, the food was terrible and the service even worse

Few dinner menu options.

Overall the stay was pleasant. Two negatives working against this establishment are the following: The variety of alcohol selections were limited. Secondly the restaurants close at 9 so we were not able to get any dessert at 9:30 pm. A vending machine or small offering at front desk would have been very appreciated as the hotel is not walking distance to any options.

So few staff, so little in the way of refurbishment. Towels are as tired as the staff. Water from our sink was dark brown, had to complain and insist to get any attention. Hardly any real variety of food available, practically impossible to get a cup of coffee between meals. Breakfast buffet was sad—and a buffet during Covid times? Unheard of. All around the property has seen much better days.

Everything was great. Very clean. Can tell lots of money spent on the renovations and updates to the Hotel. Restaurant was good. Really liked the buffet breakfast. Loved the pool and hot tub. Friendly staff.

Room was clean and very comfortable. Amazing mountain view! We were lucky that the main restaurant was open our first night there. Great food and service! Lovely grounds and nice pool area. On our second day there, we did feel the male lifeguard could have been doing a better job as kids were pushing each other into the water etc. and he just sat there. There should also be a sign with Pool Rules, as there was some yelling and splashing and ppl playing their own music loudly (when there is already music coming from the bistro)—ppl need to be reminded that this isn’t their own private backyard. It’s a non smoking hotel, which is great, but would also be better if they didn’t allow smoking on the grounds at all. We were sitting at the pool and ppl right behind the pool gate, right behind us were smoking—which as a non smoker is gross as you’re trying to enjoy the fresh air. We tried to make massage appointments, however no one was in the spa when we went (during opening hours)—we left a note AND we called a couple of hours later and left a voicemail with our info etc and never heard back. So we didn’t book any spa services. Otherwise it was an enjoyable stay and conveniently located as well! We will prob go back next year
