Royal River, Luxury Hotel - Adults Only

Super service at breakfast. Friendly and efficient staff. Top quality luxury hotel. Never loud. Nice clientelle. Excellent rooms, especially the spacious and private outdoor area with pool. Easy, free indoor parking. What’s not to enjoy?

This could easily be the nicest hotel I’ve had the pleasure of staying in. We stayed in their sister hotel, Royal Gardens, two years ago and were allowed to use the facilities here. Ever since then, I’ve wanted to come back and stay, and it didn’t disappoint. The whole ambience is the biggest selling point, so peaceful and green with incredible facilities. The river villas with swim up private pool are excellent. Staff were very friendly, great food options and plenty of space around the two pools so it never feels crowded

5 star can be applied fairly broadly sometimes but Royal River is absolutely top class. We were pleasantly surprised by how large our villa was (three rooms - living room, bedroom and very large bathroom and dressing room). The private patio had two nice day beds next to your own pool and there was also a small private roof terrace which got the sun most of the day. The small pool joins a "river" which you can swim along. Surrounded by foliage it is a really unique feature. One of the two rivers also has a hot tub at the end. The hotel itself has two pools. The larger is on the lower level and is very pleasant and a little more shaded. The other is a small infinity pool on the roof terrace with great views out to the mountains. Both have poolside bars. The facilities are all excellent, very new and very well kept / clean. The spa is nice and relaxed and my wife and I enjoyed massages there. There is also a small gymnasium which is slightly limited but well kept. It is the staff that make the hotel however. Everyone we dealt with was incredibly helpful, polite and ultra-responsive and they couldn\'t do enough for you. From reception to the restaurants and bars and even the maintenance team who all greeted me when I saw them on my way out for early morning runs. A special mention for Marina in the spa who was always on hand with a glass of cava and a smile. Rafa was also very helpful. We loved the peaceful, adults only vibe and would highly recommend Royal River.

Our pool suite could not have been nicer. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the garage parking was especially convenient if you have your own rental. We would definitely visit again.

No tennis court and pretty isolated from anywhere interesting but very good for a 4/5 day escape

One of the most beautiful hotels 🏨 in Tenerife with a designed tropical garden 🏝️ and even a couple of rivers that you can swim 🏊‍♂️ in. The roof top 🔝 restaurant is really good, and the Villa-style suites are beautifully decorated to the highest class. The thing we enjoyed the most however is the warm and welcoming staff. Top class. 🌟

We’ve just returned from a 5 night stay in what can only be described as an “utter paradise.” From the moment we stepped out of the taxi until the moment we got back in the taxi to go home was sublime. We had a river villa….the website does not show it as it really is. It was just out of this world. The bed was so comfortable, the bathroom and shower were excellent and the outdoor space and roof terrace were amazing…..the pool and the river access were an even bigger bonus. We only ate in the restaurant one night but that was 10 oout of 10. The quality of the food and restaurant was amazing. The breakfast selection and setting combined with the ever friendly staff was fantastic. There is no doubt whatsoever we will be back. Thank you so much Royal River.

An absolute dream. It was a shame we had to leave. Everything from the design and layout of the property, the decorations, the staff and the comfort of it all was amazing. It was like being in paradise for my vacation. The rooms were comfortable and clean. We opted for the two bedroom river villa. The pictures don’t do it justice. We even had our own solarium upstairs. It always felt like we had plenty of privacy and the only time I noticed other guests were in passing on the property and on the terrace during breakfast. No request was too much. The wonderful professionals at the hotel made great recommendations on activities and told us about the area. They were so outgoing. When we arrived, we were welcomed like we had been there before although it was our first time. I know everyone’s experience is probably different but, we were more than amazed with everything! So grateful to have spent time here. Although it’s a bit pricey, the ambience of comfort was more than worth it.

Hands-down the most luxurious hotel we've stayed in on the island. At first, I was a bit skeptical about being further away from the beach than I would like; but, once we've checked into our villa with a warm private pool plunge we never wanted to leave the hotel. Still, El Duque beach is just a quick 5mins or so taxi ride away. The villa is quite large, and decorated to an exceptionally high standard. Dinner time at the Hotel Top Restaurant with a great view onto Costa Adeje is priceless. The staff we've interacted with were both friendly and professional. I would highly recommend a stay in this hotel, especially if on a romantic getaway as we were.

Royal River is a real treat. Beautiful villas and excellent service from all the staff. Very private. La Caleta is (steep) downhill walk to additional restaurants. Taxis are fairly easy to come by for your return if you don’t fancy the walk back (approx€5)

A spectacular resort - amazing villa - extremely private - tremendous staff so friendly and couldn’t do enough to make our stay great

Spacious, comfortable villa. Friendly staff. Secluded/private villa. Good breakfast. Quite far from anything, so you ideally need a car or use taxis. Even the nearest beach is a 30 min walk down a steep hill (and a 40 mins walk back up a steep hill!). Good parking though. Overall, very nice.

This is a fantastic hotel. The hotel is indeed luxurious and the staff could not be more helpful and accommodating. I would definitely return and would highly recommend.

My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon and I couldn't have made a better choice to surprise her with. From the service, far, above and beyond my expectations to the sheer beauty of the hotel itself, the unique setup of the villa's which are perfectly adorned and decorated very romantically, the private pool that connects to the river is so unique and it was one of our favourite parts. The restaurants and the food in general was incredible, very high-end and LUXURIOUS, that was the overall feeling. The value of the entire stay was once again above and beyond what I had ever expected. The hotel is also perfectly located, close to all of the major attractions but secluded enough to feel exclusive. Can't thank the staff enough for making our stay feel special.

I 10/10 recommend this hotel. The property was aesthetically pleasing. The staff was amazing, very friendly, very helpful, and very knowledgeable about the island and all it has to offer. The free breakfast option had so much variety. We took advantage of the spa services, and we absolutely loved it. The spa is extremely beautiful, and the staff in the spa was very friendly, this was one of my best massages on vacation yet! Although the hotel was pricey at booking, the food, spa services, and other services were pretty affordable. I’d like to especially shout out Hugo from reception who made our stay exceptional. We’re planning to go back in the near future. I have stayed at many luxury hotels, and usually we inquire some snotty staff, this experience was the complete opposite.

Good food, although the opening days of the various restaurants is odd, as if you’re not a fan of French or Asian tasting menus you’re only left with 2 options. The location isn’t ideal (only in as far as there’s no opportunity to walk to the beach), but if you’re looking for a hotel getaway and you can rent a car, it’s fantastic. Overall, 9/10.

Super ophold. Skønt værelse, som nærmest er en hel lejlighed - boede i en villa. Nabo til Costa Adeje golf. Et lille stykke vej til byen, så vi spiste en del på hotellet. Minibaren med eget vinkøleskab til rimelige priser.

Besonders und exklusiv. Große Zimmer. River mit den Pflanzen wie in den Tropen. Leider Zimmer am Green River 16-22 für unseren Geschmack zu dunkel, keine Waschlappen im Zimmer und Abendessen hat uns v.a. im Bezug zum Preis nicht geschmeckt, wobei das Frühstück sehr gut war.
