The hotel is beautiful, with very nice dining and spa/pool. Beautiful views of the town and mountains. The staff were very nice and helpful. They upgraded us to a corner suite. Breakfast options were very good, typical. The only negative was that the room was too hot, and turning off the radiators did not help. However, the windows could be opened. There were barking dogs nearby, but that was our experience at multiple hotels in Argentina. Would highly recommend.

Convenient to downtown. 4 minute walk. Nice pool and comfy beds. Nice ambience when entering the hotel. Breakfast was good enough choices. Rooms are to dark with to much purple and curtains need to brighten up the rooms. hall carpets need replacing.

Very hot in rooms, opened window which helped but not a lot. Asked for a fan and never received one. Breakfast wasn’t very good so we went out to eat the subsequent days. Parking lot is small and gravel. On the plus side staff were friendly, lobby area was nice and even though the room was fairly small and hot it was clean and in good condition. Easy to walk into downtown area.

El hotel es el único de cadena en la ciudad y me impresionó porque esta mejor que otros hoteles en otras ciudades, está muy bien ubicado y pueda ir caminando a la calle principal, tiene un excelente sistema de calefacción por lo que disfrute en todo momento por el clima frío que me tocó en mi estadía. El desayuno es delicioso y la piscina con calefacción es de gran ayuda para estas frías temperaturas. Lo disfrute mucho, definitivamente me volvería a hospedar

The property looked beautiful on the pictures but did not live up to the expectations. On the positive side - the hotel was very clean and the front desk staff were friendly and very helpful. Now the negatives: the pillows were lumpy, the room on the third floor was extremely hot with no air coming in even with windows open, the upgraded “Mountain View” room had mostly a view of the streets around the hotel (our second room with a “standard” view had a better view), the coffee at breakfast was horrible, and the $25 lunch boxes we ordered from the hotel were inedible. For the price we paid, we expected more from the hotel.

Great hotel within easy walking distance of the centre El Calafate. We stayed in September and, while it was cold outside, all areas of the hotel were nice and warm. All the staff we encountered were similarly very warm and friendly. The buffet breakfast was a little limited in terms of savoury options, but was perfectly adequate. The pool area was clean and the water was a good temperature; it's just a pity that it's not open in the morning for days when one isn't heading out early. Overall though, we found the hotel offered very good value for money and would certainly stay there if we visit the region again in the future.

Cleanliness was ok and staff was good but my concept room was hot. Hard to believe I am complaining about excessive heat in the room Patagonia even without heat on but true. I had to go down to front desk to talk about switching in the middle of night. It took awhile but staff was kind enough to switch my room which is mountain facing but more importantly it was comfortable to sleep for four nights.

Property is about a 15min walk from the main street in El Calafate up and down a hill. My initial room was terrible it smelled weird and all you coild hear was the sound of wind and the elevator. The front desk staff were super nice and accomadating and changed my room. The second room was much better. No funky smell and no sound of wind. Overall, the room was comfortable. Breakfast had a large selection of food. The staff were super friendly and helpful in setting up tours and calling taxis.

Rooms are quite warm and loud on a saturday night from a local bar playing music until very late. Bathrooms nice size. Rooms do not have tea/coffee machine which would be helpful

Hotel was nice enough, but is a good 10 minute walk from Main Street of Calafate. Rooms were very hot at night even with radiator off. Windy spot on top of a hill. Staff very friendly and overall a good stay.

I initially purchased a queen sized bed hotel room. The room was very small. Truly only space for a bed. This particular hotel room is tucked in a corner. Virtually looks like it was turned from a closet into a hotel room to increase revenue. This room should be sold at a highly discounted rate as cheaper hotels have nicer rooms than this one. I would like to note that the property did rectify this situation to improve my experience but it wasn’t until after I walked to another hotel to look at an alternative option.

What a disappointment! This hotel was very expensive by any standard. Dated room with no A/C and no amenities. Mattress from the 1990's. Way to hot and impossible to sleep during the summer. Old furniture and tinny TV, huge bathroom with a lot of wasted space. Cold breakfast buffet with very limited options. The staff is very friendly, so at least you have that.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It is a really beautiful location with great views all around. We loved the esthetic of the wood + fur decor with the large windows that allowed us to take in the beautiful landscape. It is walking distance to everything you need in town and when we needed to take a car the hotel was happy to help us out with arrangements. (I personally wish I had thought ahead to rent a car and planned better, just fyi for others. I think they had free parking if you choose this option.) Finally, the staff at this hotel were really accommodating. They all spoke some level of English (the majority very good) and they were also happy to accommodate me wanting to practice my Spanish even though they clearly were inconvenienced by this since they could’ve quickly navigated the situation in English with me. I really appreciated this so much and felt it was above and beyond customer service. I would absolutely stay here again and would recommend this hotel.

(I personally wish I had thought ahead to rent a car and planned better, just fyi for others. I think they had free parking if you choose this option.) Finally, the staff at this hotel were really accommodating. They all spoke some level of English (the majority very good) and they were also happy to accommodate me wanting to practice my Spanish even though they clearly were inconvenienced by this since they could’ve quickly navigated the situation in English with me. I really appreciated this so much and felt it was above and beyond customer service. I would absolutely stay here again and would recommend this hotel.

Very nice stay. Fairly extensive breakfast. Easy walk to town. We didn't walk home in the dark from town we took a cab. Very helpful front desk when we needed transportation or anything else.

The highs: Way above average food at the hotel restaurant! Chef is obviously talented, wish I remembered her name! and the service was fantastic! Shout-out to Gisela who was fantastic…Bar tender was friendly but disappeared every now and then (with 5 customers total in the bar area) which annoyingly broke the flow of the evening after a perfect dinner, so that sucked. Room was ok, bathroom sucked needs updating (skinny step-in tub shower!?) Location was a bit too far from the main drag but it’s a nice hotel overall with a small sauna and small heated pool (but no shampoo, conditioner etc in the shower). Some front desk staff great some boarder line rude (Bruno) wouldn't/couldn't help us earn Wyndham points, even after we explained, we could not access their site for the direct booking. And would not grant a noon check out ( 1 hour) even after spending almost $400 on food and beverages over 2 days, really!... could be managed better. Restaurant saved the stay, so we could ignore the deficiencies and loved our stay overall.

Convenient to downtown. 4 minute walk. Nice pool and comfy beds. Nice ambience when entering the hotel. Breakfast was good enough choices. Rooms are to dark with to much purple and curtains need to brighten up the rooms. hall carpets need replacing.

O Esplendor nos surpreendeu positivamente. Atendimento excelente, café da manhã variado e boa qualidade, quarto confortável. Restaurante saboroso e com ótimo serviço. The hotel is perched on a small hill overlooking the beautiful lake, it’s a 6 min walk from the Main Street. The area is safe. We arrived at the hotel with a booking of a Mountain View, I enquired about the cost for the lake view and we got a free upgrade without asking. The staff were wonderful and friendly. Breakfast was great, the scrambled eggs were not out of a pack. The fruits were fresh and the croissants delicious. The room was huge with the most gorgeous views. No ac but it’s not needed, you can open the windows.

Great hotel! The staff is amazingly friendly and helpful. The breakfast/restaurant/bar is very good. Easy to walk to town. My only suggestion is to add a refrigerator to the rooms. The only negative I would point out is that there is no air conditioning and the rooms get warm/stuffy. This would not deter me from staying at the Esplendor again.

Very hot in rooms, opened window which helped but not a lot. Asked for a fan and never received one. Breakfast wasn’t very good so we went out to eat the subsequent days. Parking lot is small and gravel. On the plus side staff were friendly, lobby area was nice and even though the room was fairly small and hot it was clean and in good condition. Easy to walk into downtown area.

What a disappointment! This hotel was very expensive by any standard. Dated room with no A/C and no amenities. Mattress from the 1990's. Way to hot and impossible to sleep during the summer. Old furniture and tinny TV, huge bathroom with a lot of wasted space. Cold breakfast buffet with very limited options. The staff is very friendly, so at least you have that.
