The resort was nice food was good the Italian restaurant was probably my favorite. The buffet was also great during breakfast and dinner. The only complaint is the gym it’s extremely small and a lot of the machines are either outdated or falling apart.

The place was good it was clean and food was better than expected. Very unhappy about the spa. In the rooms it says book online for the spa. I did just that booked online throu the resorts app. Received and time date and amount owed for services credit card on file. I arrive with my friend looking forward to a day at the spa. Was told upon arrival our online booking didn’t count as a reservation and is just a “suggestion “ but not a reservation but I had a screen shot of booking and time and date. Spa attendant was rude not helpful said no openings for days. Now I see why no one goes to the spa there very disappointing first vacation without my 4 kids in 9 years and couldn’t even enjoy a spa day with my friend.

We been going to Riu hotels often but this hotel was horrible. It was very dirty around the chairs by the pool spilled drinks , hair , even broken nails . Very loud by the pool , drunk people ! Food was not warm enough! And when you go to the beach there’s people selling stuff and they are so annoying I told one of the security guy that works for the hotel that we want to relax can you tell them not to bother us and he didn’t do anything about it!!! The stuff is very unfriendly! Don't recommend this hotel to anyone!

Service from the staff was great. Everyone was very polite, courteous and accommodating. The views of the beach were very nice. Fun atmosphere and d plenty of seating near and around the pools. The rooms were nice, clean and spacious. Buffet is subpar but they have a few decent restaurants. I enjoyed the Asian spot, especially the Thai fried rice. The only thing that would deter me from returning are the flies. They were everywhere and I have never experienced anything like that. It’s definitely a health, food safety and sanitation issue anytime you see flies all over the food both indoors and outdoors. Swatting away flies from my food and drinks was not on my bingo card. I’ve been to Cabo several times and this was a first and last for me. I will say in the speciality restaurants I could peacefully enjoy my meal, however at the buffet or many of the outdoor seating areas they were everywhere. Uber is accessible but you’ll have to walk down the bridge which doesn’t take long at all. Rates are far more affordable than that of the taxis. For last minute and budget friendly getaways it is cool, I just don’t see myself coming back.

Ive stayed at this property a number of times through the years and loved it for its clean and energetic staff. After this trip I noticed that there are starting to be a good amount of wear and tear on the rooms. Mold spots, panels are withering from the humidity m, and a few other bits. The staff is still one of the best, but the property is going downhill.

As service and house keeping is as lacking and slow with EVERYTHING for 4 nights. A cockroach in our room on our last night even. Not a good experience. We had to wash with a damp hand dry off towel since we didn’t get face clothes until our last night there.

Beautiful location and FABULOUS staff! I would suggest having light blankets in the rooms, more hooks to hang towels, bathrobes, nightgowns, swim suits, etc. Also, have more drying racks on the patio. We'll be back for our 3rd visit soon. Love it here!

The property had friendly staff, gorgeous views, a variety of food options, and we were able to be served quickly in most cases. Our only complaint would be that the mattresses and bedding were not very comfortable. Luckily, we were tired in the evenings so could fall asleep, but that is one area that we felt they could improve. Overall, we truly loved the resort and would recommend to friends.

The nice, clean room provided to us was right next to the stage. There was entertainment/parties that lasted until 1 am nearly every night. There is no chance of sleeping through it-just an FYI. Our family requested rooms together, but we were spread out and two of the rooms door locks were not fully functional. Recommendations are to ensure locks and doors are secure and guests are aware of the noise/parties late into the night. (We thought staying at the all adults would be quieter than the other two properties, but this was definitely not the case.) Staff were all very friendly. We are still unsure of what that extra room credit was available for us to use towards… If you want a pool chair, better get to the pool early-all people were reserving chairs regardless of the posted signs that it’s not allowed. Overall okay. Gets very loud with the Santa Fe parties and the walls are quite thin. Can hear all the noise in the hallways. Food, drinks, and service were all fantastic. Housekeeping tended to be much later in the day. Beds not the comfiest. Front desk not super helpful when inquired about where to breakdown larger American bills. Sent me to 3 different places. Not sure when RIu created an elite class system either. I found this hotel to be a better experience in 2022

Service desk was horrible no help just pushed everything off. Pool was great Lucas the picture place was amazing. Cleaning people for the rooms never put towels or rags back in our room had to call everyday for them. Sorry to say for the money I will stay somewhere else

Clean room, lovely staff (Lutty at the pool bar and Carmen at breakfast were absolutely the best), and good food! The only thing i don’t like is that out of our 6 day stay, we were not able to go to the steakhouse! They allow elite members to make reservations only and then everyone else can only go as soon as they open. If you’re not there at 530pm you will not be going and that’s unfortunate and unacceptable. They need to come up with a better system to make sure that everyone is able to go.

From the time we got dropped at at the lobby by our shuttle the experience was amazing. Our check in process was great (I should have downloaded the app and did the online check in but Herberto make the process excellent. The room was what we booked and was ready for our arrival. Our first meal experience was at the Agave and it did not disappoint. The food and service was top notch. The services on site were excellent and over the course of 8 days, we did not have a single bad experience with the food, drinks or anything else for that matter. We had a couple small issues with our lights and safe but a technician was there to fix immediately. For our first trip to Cabo San Lucas, the staff at the RIU Palace Baja California made it memorable. We will definitely be returning to this hotel again and again.

The property is a party. If that is what you are looking for you won’t be disappointed. For us it was too loud and a little too young for us. We are fun and fifty but this just wasn’t for us. Our room was great. Nicely decorated, good working AC and clean. It’s a $20 cab ride to the marina area so that gets expensive.

We had such an amazing stay at the Riu Baja California!!!! We enjoyed the clean room and staff was so attentive. The food was delicious and there were many options to choose from. The pools were very clean and overlooked the beautiful mountain range as well. My boyfriend and I will definitely be returning!!!

The view is absolutely unreal 100/10, we had a beachfront room with balcony and I think it was worth it. What I thought was ok was the food options. The restaurants are only open for dinner time, so breakfast and lunch are at the buffet. The buffet is great and has a lot of options. We paid for the elite club and that it was good but not great. Sorry to say but definitely recommend using Ubers over taxi (cost $). It’s a short walk across the bridge you come in on to get to your uber. You can then get dropped off in front of the hotel on your way back. Definitely check out some excursions!

Great location just on the beach. Very professional and courteous staff. Excellent dining options. Just 2.5 km from the center of the town - 40 minutes walk. Hotel and facilities are spotless clean. I only wish that at least one of the pools was a bit deeper and set for lap swimming.

Nice resort. I wish they had more entertainment. I did the Elite Package. The premium drinks tasted water down but the gifts that came with the package was nice. I also liked the Elite Restaurant and the secluded area with the cabanas. It would of been nice if they had a better selection of food to eat late nights and for the bars to be opened at least until 1am. They do have a club on the family side that you can go to but was a long walk. I think i would still come back because it was more pros than cons and the staff was nice.

Room and service was amazing! The only thing missing was the individual restaurants inside weren’t as good, but the buffet was pretty good so made up for them. While the room was beautiful, unfortunately I was pretty disappointed with my stay. I’ve always heard so many great things about Hotel Riu so I was expecting top of the line. However, the food was pretty mediocre. The all inclusive drinks were very watered down. The staff were ok, but not particularly friendly. And we could hear conversations from people in the hallway from our rooms. Would I go back? Most likely not.

Our stay was great. Service was really great especially, food was better than expected. The rooms were clean and our view was amazing. The beds are not as comfortable as we would have liked but they were good enough. The one thing that is lacking is how watered down mixed drinks are. Once we upgraded to Elite, the drinks and food options for room service were much better. Other than that, we enjoyed our time and the entertainment provided. We walked over to the Santa Fe Riu to catch some shows so it was a bit of a walk but we enjoyed them, especially the Michael Jackson show. Overall great stay and great service and would book again with this hotel.

Riu Palace Baja California: Fun trip, but know what you're booking Let me start with the best part: the staff. Genuinely great people. Friendly, hardworking, always checking in, and they made the trip better than the property itself did. Same goes for the location, it's beautiful, and hard to beat. Very close to downtown. I had a good time. But there are a few things I'd want to know before booking: The rooms are average. Not bad, not dirty, just plain. The beds were uncomfortable, that was the biggest letdown. If you're a light sleeper or you care about a good mattress, this will bother you. Do not come here for the food. It wasn't gross, but it wasn't good either. It's fuel, not a meal you'll remember. If food is a big part of your vacation, plan on eating off-property. It's a party crowd. This is the thing most people should hear. Riu draws a specific type of guest and this property is no exception. Music, drinking, energy... all day. If that's what you want, you'll love it. If you booked hoping for a quiet, relaxing week by the water, you're going to be frustrated. It is not luxury. "Palace" is in the name, but this isn't upscale in any real sense. It's a solid all-inclusive with a great location and great staff. Set your expectations there and you'll have a good time. Expect anything more and you won't. Bottom line: fun trip, good value, great people, awesome location. Go for the party and the setting, not for the beds, the food, or peace and quiet.

We had an amazing stay here. We loved the dining options and that we didn’t have to reserve nights at the themed restaurants. There was fresh fruit at every meal in the buffet and plenty of protein and healthier options, in addition to the less healthy food. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The beach was great. People mention not being able to swim, but we swam in the ocean most days. You can walk up the coast 10 minutes for calmer waters too if you prefer. Activities and entertainment were all pretty good too. You also have access to the adjacent Riu properties, including a water park at the Santa Fe. They have one for the little ones too. I loved our stay with Riu and will go back to one here or somewhere else in the world.

The phone didn’t work and in the room for nearly three days. We ere suppose to be in the elite club rooms but instead they put us in what thy called an “ocean view” room which was staring at a vacant lot. Not a great experience
