Had I known they were doing renovation I might have opted to stay elsewhere. We had a double room with two of us staying there. Gave us three pillows rather than four. Only two bathroom big towels and wash clothes and hand towels. Pool was closed as they were waiting to get it cleaned. With 90 degree heat it would have been nice to be able to use the pool.

Property looked newer online. Had some issues with bugs in room. AC/heater extremely loud. Shower curtain ripped short water was leaking out on to floor. Non smoking room smelt like heavy smoker occupied before me. Elevator broke down last day there. Staff was awesome. Welcoming and supportive.

I arrived at 7pm. She says, I’ve only got two rooms at your price. The elevator is broken, you get the 3rd floor. Carry your bags up stairs. I said, do I get a discount? You purchased from Expedia so I can’t do anything. I was treated WORSE because I purchased from Expedia vs direct!

Hotel was adequate however could use a good cleaning. Floor in elevator was torn and needed repair. Carpets need to be shampooed. Breakfast offering not up to the competition. Although the pool is closed, the accumulated filth on the tarp made it look like a garbage dump. Not a good look. Pluses- tv worked, comfortable bed and hot water.

This was the most disgusting hotel I’ve ever slept in. Almost considered sleeping in my truck. Do yourself a favor and do not use a black light. It was everywhere, all over the sheets, pillows, floor. Mold everywhere you look. Absolutely disgusting.

I had a none smoking and as we walked in the room it smelled like smoke!! Then comforters had many burn holes, and i requested another and that 1 had plenty burns as we. Behind the bed was filthy. The lighting was poor and had to request more light bulbs. Trimming was coming off the wall. And at night time Roaches started coming from out of nowhere.

The room was dirty. It smelled like cigarette smoke. The room looked nothing like whatbwas on the pictures. The bed linen was made me itch, in which i had to check myself for Bed Bugs or other insects. The hallways also smelled like cigarette smoke and canibus smoke. This has to be the worse hotel that i ever stayed in and will never stay at this place again.

Staff was friendly! Phace itself was falling apart though. Massive hole in the blackout curtain making it useless. Bathroom fan was so loud it woke up the other person in the room. You can't turn on the light in the bathroom without the fan. The freezer was frozen open in the mini fridge and couldn't be closed as well.

The rooms were fair. They were musky and lot of humidity in the room. We rented 2 rooms and one room didn’t have working AC- the room was warm and humid inside as well. When we got there it was late and we decided to deal with it best we could. Next day the breakfast was very bare bones and we ended up grabbing a piece of toast and got on the road. For an over night off from Coastal chaos.

This entire hotel reeks of pot smoke. We noticed immediately in the parking lot just outside the reception area. Though it is supposedly a no smoking hotel, the hallways smelled, and even our room had a faint smell of marijuana. Beyond that, the beds were uncomfortable, the linens were of poor quality, the bathroom had a light with a ridiculously loud exhaust fan, and the tub had the stopper removed and just laying in the tub. Popcorn ceilings, textured walls with dark glossy paint…. Everything was so outdated. Oh, I almost forgot that the tap water was tinted brown - I didn’t dare taste it. I didn’t even shower. We stayed here one night on our way to OBX, and although we rent a beach house each year, we’ll never be back to the Baymont in Elizabeth City. Yuk!

The place was dingy, and the halls reeked of marijuana. The only staff I saw was 1 person at the desk, very distracted by their phone. The photo's make the renovations seem much more complete than they actually are. The light in the room would flicker because the electrical receptacle that it was plugged into did not have a good connection. Probably because of all of the rust around it. The plugs in the lamp were not working, so I had to move the nightstand, and plug my phone into the wall. Even this would flicker because of bad wiring. There were open ketchup packets and straw wrappers barely under the bed and noticeable from a standing position. It's the type of hotel that you don't feel comfortable walking around the rooms with your shoes off, or sleeping without a shirt and sweatpants.

Bed was sunken in in the middle very uncomfortable. The AC unit was duct taped together. Towels were old with holes in them, and some looked off-white. The elevator was dirty, and the place smelled of old wet carpet. It was convenient considering I was coming for a graduation but, def wouldn’t recommend for a long term stay.

WiFi was non existent and the front desk confirmed that although the website states High speed internet- nope.. speed test was .04 mgbs, yes .04.. bathroom door had been ripped off and was barely usable. Everything was unplugged when we got there?????. It also looked like a blind man repaired the wall and painted. It was an absolute disgrace. The a/c worked good and the bed was comfy, although the pillows looked as old as George Washington.. we will NOT go back there.

We arrived after 9 p.m. and the women at the desk were both very nice and made sure we had everything we needed. It was myself and 2 grandkids on our drive from NJ to SC. However, in our room we discovered the carpet SOAKING WET in front of the air conditioning unit. We reported this to the front desk in the early morning (4 a.m.) as we checked out. We still slept in the room because we didnt need to walk in that area in order to grab a few hours of rest.

Room was very comfortable and peaceful. Only suggestion is tv/channels or apps not accessible and very slow when we were in room! Other than that we enjoyed our stay very much! We were satisfied with every aspect of our stay! Diane or Done(I believe was her name) at front desk was amazing! Very helpful when we came in later after family reunion we were in town for. She was polite, knowledgeable and very helpful with getting what we asked. Thanks for all of your help!

We got there to check in and there was a sign that said be back in 1 hour at 7:15pm at night. We had to wait a hour to get checked in. We tried to check in earlier that day and the room was not ready. So this was a terrible experience. We will never go back or recommend

I had originally tried to call the place during normal business hours to let them know that my flight into Raleigh was delayed and consequently I would arrive in Elizabeth City quite a bit later as well, but no one answered. Upon driving over there and arriving at almost 3:00 am I was hoping to at least rest for the remaining 3 hours, take a shower, and then go to my business function, but no one was at the desk. I tried ringing a bell that was opposite the desk, but with no success. I then slept in the corner of the parking lot out back until I had to get up and get going. Things like this happen and I am not soured, nor would I let it affect my next stay even if it happened to be at the same place, but this particular experience wasn't good.

As I was driving to the hotel, the staff call to see if I was coming. Then they inform me that my card was expired. I inform them I have an updated one. Gave them my information. And they said that card didn't work. So I gave them another card. And they said the same thing again. We told her to run it again. And it took that time. Why would you run the card before I arrived. So when we checked in the receptionist was not friendly at all. The hotel looks good for the outside, but inside its looks like it's stuck in the 80 The hotel needs to to be updated .I think they tried to get me to cancel me stay so they could overcharge someone else. Because there was an Bass fish tournament going on and a cycling event going at the same that weekend. I was part of the cycling event. I left the next day. Because I was so disappointed about the hotel.

This hotel was one of the few available options for my recent stay in Elizabeth City. It is approximately 10 minutes from the venue. Upon check-in, the hotel appeared somewhat aged and could benefit from better cleanliness. Another guest mentioned there was no hot water in their room. It started with the clerk not knowing how to split cost between 2 people. But after that, the carpet was badly stained, mold around the shower, low shower pressure, unedible breakfast items particularly the eggs and sausages; however, the beds were comfortable.

It was just ok, not great and not terrible. The biggest disappointment was breakfast not being served per the schedule. Was to start at 6:30 and was after 7:00 before we could start. No help, would run out of everything and people either had to wait or just left. The slim choice of food was cold. The facility was old an outdated. They had no help.

The room was adequate for a one night stop. You can tell that work has been done. The room did smell of some marijuana smoke but was not terrible. The most disappointing was the breakfast. It was advertised as being until 9:30 but upon visiting at 8we found the eggs and sausage empty. When we asked at the desk we were told it was closed and person maintaing it had left. Perhaps the had an emergency?
