There is a parking space in front of each room but it's not assigned to the room so parking is a free-for-all. We had to park across the street. The toilet in our room wasn't cleaned - the seat was covered in urine - it was disgusting. This made me question what other areas hadn't been cleaned. There are no instructions for the TV remote. The manager had no problem using it but we couldn't figure it out.

The layout of the property and the common areas was family friendly. There is a courtyard surrounded by the rooms. There are tables and chairs in this area which makes it great as an outdoor seating to enjoy the breeze while avoiding the afternoon sun.

We were here for the 2nd time. Very convenient, clean, everything in working condition. The big bonus is that they accept pets in the room ($25/night extra). Only one problem: not enough parking spots. Every room should have one assigned parking spot! Maybe starting with next year?

This is a nice property to stay at, The two bedroom apartments are very nice and cozy, the only problem is the pool. There were garbage bags in the water.

Clean and updated rooms including AC and mini fridge, working and good ice making machine , less then one block to the lake beach, near by walking food options including a The Sage Pub ( know for great pizza , I had their fish taco special , thumbs up!) and Liquor Store one building over by the lake . Clean pool and whirlpool, stayed in an outside room by the parking and road , inside court rooms would be my choice next time , better access to amenities and court yard . Will stay there again .

The first night in our hotel room, the air conditioner made a loud noise every 30 seconds. We ended up turning it off and opening the cracked/taped window for fresh air. Which was ok until other guests parked right outside our room left at 6:00am. We went to the desk in the morning to request to be moved to another room. They ended up installing a new air conditioner. Thank you for that. The rooms were clean. The property does need some some upgrading as it is an older property. Lounge chairs around the pool were torn. There was a hole in our bathroom wall that had what looked like kleenex stuffed in it. As they are going into their Off season, now would be a good time for them to do some work.

Our bedsheets were dirty, floor was filthy(had to keep shoes on) baseboards and walls were dirty, doors were filthy, turned the ceiling fan on and dust came flying off in chunks, one light bulb burnt out in bathroom, shower head fell off when we turned it on, toilet was wiggly, tub was dirty, dishes were dirty, every lamp shade was stained and had mould, beds were hard. All furniture was OLD. Only plus side was location is by the beach and our own balcony. Sadly we will not stay here again. This place needs major Reno’s and improvements.

The bed is comfy - so, that's good. Swimming pool is good for a dip and some short length swim. Room floor is dirty - took my shoes off to go shower and the underside of my feet is blacken - obviously not mopped. The sink's tap fitting is loose. The shower curtain is dirty. It doesn't go all way down to floor (it's a shower stall) and bathroom floor gets wet. The TV remote is sticky. And of course, the advertised picture is not like what I expected to get.

Clean room. But linens were all stained and the beds need replacing. Tonight stay. They don’t service rooms each night. We had to ask for extras. Pool said it was heated but to cold. No food options at hotel not even a vending machine.

Visited in October 2025. Good location. Fair price. Staff was very nice. Has a fitness centre for 1 person. Fully equipped. Really enjoyed it. Water in the pool was fully of leaves, sand and some dirt. Not pleasant to use. Has bugs in the room. We stayed for 2 nights from Oct 11-13. We stayed on room 130 (last room down the hallway on the left) with 2 beds, 1 in living room 1 in bed room. The room appears to be not occupied for a long time. There's dead mosquitoes on the bed of the living room. There is old stain on the bedroom bed, stain on the bathroom door, spider and spider web in the bathroom sink and spiders in the bath tub. Theres are also spider web on the outside of the front door. We ended up not sleeping or touching the living room bed and i cleaned the spider webs myself. Called room cleaning service in the morning, but the problems above were not taken care of. The cleaner only replaced used towel and changed the bedsheets in the bedroom that we slept in. Stains/spider web/insect bodies were not removed. Second night while i was resting in my bed in the bedroom, a larger insect crawled over my leg. Hygiene is way below my expectations.

Very dirty. Smoke detector not attached or functional, drawers in kitchen didn’t close properly. Fridge didn’t work, window didn’t close properly, towels were stained. Hot water would work some times and only warm others. Beds were comfy and ac worked great.

We LOVED staying at the Sahara Courtyard. The tables and seating area was so convenient when it rained for half of our trip, the pool was a good size and nice and central. The walkability to the local restaurants, pubs and activities can't be beat!! The staff was friendly and helpful, and the room was spotless.

The first room they gave us was tiny and had not been cleaned (ie. The beds were not made and there were towels all over the floor. The “upgraded” room they gave us was dark and the tv continually lost power. The most alarming concern was that we split water on the tile, and used a washcloth to wipe it up. The cloth was filthy after one wipe so it appeared as though the floor had not been cleaned in a very long time. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Nice property but needs a little up keeping. Bed was very hard and pillows were bad . Windows were dirty with hand prints on the glass. Court yard was great with nice tables and chairs . Barbeque for your use if you want to bbq and a good smoking area for those that smoke. Close to the beach and Main Street

Location is good. Close to beaches. Has great pool area. My room noisy with room above. Pets not allowed in court yard yet when I left in am the courtyard had a mess from the humans. Left over food and drink mess. Certainly not from a pet! Smoke detector in my room not hooked up.

Been going here for years. On the last stay I informed the front desk we would be leaving a day early from our booked stay. The son rudely refused to give any compensation for the night we would not be able to stay. Won’t be going back and neither will the couple we go with.

I made a booking based on room availability on Expedia. I called to indicate that i would be checking in late. At first the attendant picked up and said they were closed. I called a second time to let them know i had made the booking and needed to make check-in arrangements, they did not pick up the call and it went to voicemail. I called a third time upon arrival and no one answered the phone and no one was at the front desk (office was locked). I had to drive down the street to get a room for the night after paying for a room at the Sahara. Horrible.

I guess the place shuts down at 10 PM? Expedia let me book the room after 10 PM. I got there around 11:30 and no one was at the front desk. I ended up having to sleep in my truck. Someone did answer the phone, but I guess they weren’t on the property and didn’t try to come and check me in. Very frustrating experience, especially considering I had paid in full. Expedia did refund me, but what kind of a hotel closes their doors before midnight?

This was our first stay here, and Sahara Courtyard was way above our expectations! The motel is cute, super clean, and so well kept. It’s lush and tropical, with beautiful plants everywhere and it feels like a little resort! There are ample patio tables and shade umbrellas, tons of lounge chairs, and a sparkling clean pool in the middle of the courtyard. There’s even a little shallow pool for kids. The staff are friendly and helpful and the rooms have everything you need. It’s a 2 minute walk to the public beach, and walking distance to restaurants. There is even a pub/liquor store right next door. We ended up staying an extra night, we were so happy, and will certainly be coming back again!

This was our first stay here, and Sahara Courtyard was way above our expectations! The motel is cute, super clean, and so well kept. It’s lush and tropical, with beautiful plants everywhere and it feels like a little resort! There is even a pub/liquor store right next door. We ended up staying an extra night, we were so happy, and will certainly be coming back again!
