Dette er et annerledes hotell og litt eksotisk hotell. Det ligger in the middle og nowhere. Og det er ganske spennende. Morsomt med ville aper inne på området. Mange av fasilitetene var stengt. (Rooftop bar etc.) Det sier seg selv at det er insekter på et sånt hotell, men det er ganske stressende når man må sove i et nett på et 5 stjerners hotell. Alle ansatte var svært hyggelige og behjelplige. Men restauranten (ala carte middagen) var skuffende. Vi bestilte australsk biff fordi de ikke kunne tilby allergivennlig asiatisk/Sri lankisk mat. Denne var 3-4 ganger så dyr som de andre rettene. Vi fikk beskjed am at maten kom til å ta en stund å levere. Når den kom var det den mest smakløse og seige biffen jeg noengang har spist. Som sagt lever ikke forventningene opp til å være et 5 stjerners hotell, men er et helt greit utgangspunkt om man skal opp tidlig på Safari. Hotellet leverte også en «gratis» pose med mat til å ha med på safari siden avreise var tidlig.

Das Hotel ist wunderbar gelegen und ist umgeben von purer Natur, man kann den Yala Nationalpark in zirka einer halben Stunde erreichen. Der Pool ist besonders toll und man kann nach der Safari gut entspannen. Die Jungs waren besonders nett und haben uns weitere Reisetipps gegeben. Die Anlage ist sehr gepflegt, die Zimmer sind jedoch etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Das Hotelpersonal scheint relativ unflexibel und teilweise etwas unprofessionell ich hatte über Expedia einen Early Check-In und einen Late Check-out gebucht, im System angeblich nicht gebucht das Frühstück komischerweise aber schon. Wir hatten zudem ein Zweibettzimmer gebucht und ich habe höflich gefragt ob wir ein Doppelbett haben könnten, da auf der Buchungs-Webseite nicht anderes verfügbar war. Laut der Dame an der Rezeption sei das nicht möglich, letztendlich haben wir die Betten dann zusammengeschoben. Beim Abendessen wird einem die Rechnung gebracht obwohl man noch isst, ständig wird der Tisch abgeräumt obwohl man noch beim Essen ist. Im großen und ganzen ein tolles Haus mit vielen Verbesserungen.

We enjoyed our one night stay. Couldn't spend much time in the pool due to rain but enjoyed the pool time as well. Food at the buffet was very tasty. Good place to relax.

The hotel was absolutely amazing. The service was superb and the food was delicious. We enjoyed our stay very much.We loved the beds and the pillows , we slept really well. Also a special mention to Vishwa the naturalist who was outstanding with her informative wildlife tours which my 9 year old son enjoyed very much. The swimming pool was exceptionally good with a very natural feel and it was not too crowded. A great place to watch birds as you could see bee eaters, bulbuls etc and even monitor lizards. There is so much more to this place and we loved our stay there. We hope to return one day in the future.

The surrounding lake is serene, perfect for meditation or relaxation on one of the patios. Beautiful hotel and staff. Reception exceptionally helpful . Last hotel I extended stay at had issues and tried to swap room. Not here/everything went smoothly. Easy to book safaris although pool and grounds make you question the need to leave. Food excellent and well presented. Plenty of dining options.

We spent two nights at this charming hotel, staying in a spacious presidential villa with a private swimming pool and four bedrooms. The modern design was impressive, and the staff were exceptionally kind and helpful. We were fortunate to receive excellent assistance from Ms. Senuri, who provided thorough explanations and support. One thing to keep in mind is that, due to the hotel's proximity to the lake, there are quite a few insects.

A beautiful hotel with spotless rooms and excellent service. The staff-Jhonny, Gobinath, and Kaveesa-are highly professional and attentive. Chef Manawadu was especially accommodating, ensuring that my uncle, who needed gluten-free options, had plenty of delicious food.

Stayed at this hotel for one night. Went to another hotel in Yala. Was not pleased with what I saw. My family and I turned around and went back to stay here for another night. Very clean hotel, very polite staff who go above and beyond to ensure you have a relaxing and comfortable stay. Highly recommend staying here if you are ever in Weerawila. Das Hotel ist wunderbar gelegen und ist umgeben von purer Natur, man kann den Yala Nationalpark in zirka einer halben Stunde erreichen. Der Pool ist besonders toll und man kann nach der Safari gut entspannen. Die Jungs waren besonders nett und haben uns weitere Reisetipps gegeben. Die Anlage ist sehr gepflegt, die Zimmer sind jedoch etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Das Hotelpersonal scheint relativ unflexibel und teilweise etwas unprofessionell ich hatte über Expedia einen Early Check-In und einen Late Check-out gebucht, im System angeblich nicht gebucht das Frühstück komischerweise aber schon. Wir hatten zudem ein Zweibettzimmer gebucht und ich habe höflich gefragt ob wir ein Doppelbett haben könnten, da auf der Buchungs-Webseite nicht anderes verfügbar war. Laut der Dame an der Rezeption sei das nicht möglich, letztendlich haben wir die Betten dann zusammengeschoben. Beim Abendessen wird einem die Rechnung gebracht obwohl man noch isst, ständig wird der Tisch abgeräumt obwohl man noch beim Essen ist. Im großen und ganzen ein tolles Haus mit vielen Verbesserungen.

The hotel was absolutely amazing. The service was superb and the food was delicious. We enjoyed our stay very much.We loved the beds and the pillows , we slept really well. Also a special mention to Vishwa the naturalist who was outstanding with her informative wildlife tours which my 9 year old son enjoyed very much. The swimming pool was exceptionally good with a very natural feel and it was not too crowded. A great place to watch birds as you could see bee eaters, bulbuls etc and even monitor lizards. There is so much more to this place and we loved our stay there. We hope to return one day in the future.

From the service to the conditions of the room and the accomodation: everything was very great. This was without a doubt the best hotel we've had in Sri Lanka. The food was amazing, e.g. breakfast and dinner. Everything was so fresh and the staff was so helpful. Definitely would love to come back here. If I should mention one feedback issue: you are only provided with one big towel each person. I am used to be given at least one small towel as well, to dry your face/hands - something you don't particularly do with your shower towel.

We spent two nights at this charming hotel, staying in a spacious presidential villa with a private swimming pool and four bedrooms. The modern design was impressive, and the staff were exceptionally kind and helpful. We were fortunate to receive excellent assistance from Ms. Senuri, who provided thorough explanations and support. Beautiful hotel and staff. Reception exceptionally helpful . Last hotel I extended stay at had issues and tried to swap room. Not here/everything went smoothly. Easy to book safaris although pool and grounds make you question the need to leave. Food excellent and well presented. Plenty of dining options.

Dette er et annerledes hotell og litt eksotisk hotell. Det ligger in the middle og nowhere. Og det er ganske spennende. Morsomt med ville aper inne på området. Mange av fasilitetene var stengt. (Rooftop bar etc.) Det sier seg selv at det er insekter på et sånt hotell, men det er ganske stressende når man må sove i et nett på et 5 stjerners hotell. Alle ansatte var svært hyggelige og behjelplige. Men restauranten (ala carte middagen) var skuffende. Vi bestilte australsk biff fordi de ikke kunne tilby allergivennlig asiatisk/Sri lankisk mat. Denne var 3-4 ganger så dyr som de andre rettene. Vi fikk beskjed am at maten kom til å ta en stund å levere. Når den kom var det den mest smakløse og seige biffen jeg noengang har spist. Som sagt lever ikke forventningene opp til å være et 5 stjerners hotell, men er et helt greit utgangspunkt om man skal opp tidlig på Safari. Hotellet leverte også en «gratis» pose med mat til å ha med på safari siden avreise var tidlig.

It was pleasant to find the resort so beautifully done amidst nature having a lot of spaces to relax for couples, family, and groups. We spent two nights at this charming hotel, staying in a spacious presidential villa with a private swimming pool and four bedrooms. The modern design was impressive, and the staff were exceptionally kind and helpful. We were fortunate to receive excellent assistance from Ms. Senuri, who provided thorough explanations and support. One thing to keep in mind is that, due to the hotel's proximity to the lake, there are quite a few insects.

Dette er et annerledes hotell og litt eksotisk hotell. Det ligger in the middle og nowhere. Og det er ganske spennende. Morsomt med ville aper inne på området. Mange av fasilitetene var stengt. (Rooftop bar etc.) Det sier seg selv at det er insekter på et sånt hotell, men det er ganske stressende når man må sove i et nett på et 5 stjerners hotell. Alle ansatte var svært hyggelige og behjelplige. Men restauranten (ala carte middagen) var skuffende. Vi bestilte australsk biff fordi de ikke kunne tilby allergivennlig asiatisk/Sri lankisk mat. Denne var 3-4 ganger så dyr som de andre rettene. Vi fikk beskjed am at maten kom til å ta en stund å levere. Når den kom var det den mest smakløse og seige biffen jeg noengang har spist. Som sagt lever ikke forventningene opp til å være et 5 stjerners hotell, men er et helt greit utgangspunkt om man skal opp tidlig på Safari. Hotellet leverte også en «gratis» pose med mat til å ha med på safari siden avreise var tidlig.

We enjoyed our one night stay. Couldn't spend much time in the pool due to rain but enjoyed the pool time as well. Food at the buffet was very tasty. Good place to relax.

The hotel was absolutely amazing. The service was superb and the food was delicious. We enjoyed our stay very much.We loved the beds and the pillows , we slept really well. Also a special mention to Vishwa the naturalist who was outstanding with her informative wildlife tours which my 9 year old son enjoyed very much. The swimming pool was exceptionally good with a very natural feel and it was not too crowded. A great place to watch birds as you could see bee eaters, bulbuls etc and even monitor lizards. There is so much more to this place and we loved our stay there. We hope to return one day in the future.

Our trip took place in November 2024, and the main reason for staying at this resort was our safari in Yala National Park. A beautiful hotel with spotless rooms and excellent service. The staff-Jhonny, Gobinath, and Kaveesa-are highly professional and attentive. Chef Manawadu was especially accommodating, ensuring that my uncle, who needed gluten-free options, had plenty of delicious food.

This was an amazing hotel. Everything was perfect, the staff so friendly and helpfu. The grounds absolutely stunning and the food was amazing . We travel a lot and the food was some of the best we have had,taste and presentation on point. Only regret was we only bookec for one night on our travels through Sri Lanka Thank you to the Hilton staff PS the welcome cookie is a nice touch

My parents were there to celebrate my dad’s birthday, and although we celebrated a little late, they had such a wonderful experience. Quoting my dad “The birthday arrangement was beautiful, the cake was lovely, and the famous DoubleTree cookie was the best. The breakfast and dinner buffets were both excellent, and the amenities were exceptional.” What really stood out to them was the warmth and attention to detail throughout their stay. My mum still can’t stop complimenting the food; my parents have travelled all around Sri Lanka and tried many different cuisines, so coming from them, that is actually really huge to hear! Next time I’m in Lanka, I already know where my first stop will be. 10/10 for such a great stay!

Room very clean and good stock of toiletries including bath robe and slippers. Coffee making machine + coffee pods as an extra to normal supply of teas and coffees in sachets. We had a suite which was excellent with a lot of space and facilities including iron/ ironing table. Large bailcony with loungers+ towels. Breakfast buffet style - reasonable choice. Large hotel, staff generally helpful but service therefore less personal. My suitcase flew off the shuttle as maybe not placed correctly and was badly scratched. No apology.
