Clean, large rooms for a reasonable price. Good service by all staff members and prompt room service food delivery with large menu. Good breakfast buffet added on for a reasonable price. Unfortunately there was a poor view from the pool as a larger storey hotel/apartment is being built directly overlooking the pool that prevents a view of the sea and was noisey during our stay. Also, only 4 sun loungers.

Rooms are a good size and staff are friendly, but unfortunately the views from the rooms and rooftop pool are nothing like the images due to the construction tower across the road. You can no longer see the ocean. The pool is a lot smaller than pictured too, and the rooms are quite dated and could do with a refurbish. We also found the shower ran out of hot water on two occasions. Overall fine for one night, though there are probably nicer places at a similar price

Das Personal war extrem hilfsbereit und sehr zuvorkommend. Habe ein Upgrade bekommen und konnte deutlich vor der regulären Checkin-Zeit ins Zimmer. Das Zimmer war gross und ebenfalls sehr zufriedenstellend. Wifi sehr gut, sowohl auf dem Zimmer als auch in der Lobby. Der Pool auf dem Dach ist relativ klein aber für eine Nacht im Hotel völlig ausreichend. Das Hotel bietet einen Taxi-Service zum Flughafen an. Da ich sehr früh geflogen bin, habe ich diesen, obwohl relativ teuer, auch in Anspruch genommen. Der Fahrer und das Fahrzeug waren dann aber auch top.

Bra service personal och skön säng. Just nu pågår byggnationer omkring hotellet som för oljud hela tiden och gör omgivningen ganska fult. Restaurangen var sliten och inredningen borde dom bytt för några år sedan. Gymmet är litet och ofräscht. Poolen var liten och låg precis utanför restaurangen, och det fanns inget bra lounge häng kring poolen. Hotellet ska vara 5 stjärnor men inredningen är som 3 stjärnor.

The building work spoils thd view from the pool and balcony which is unfortunate but not the fault of the Mandarina. No mango at breakfast and limired fresh juices.

Check in was ok. My room was fine, but the bathroom tiles in the shower cubicle looked as if they needed a good scrub due the ? mould. My food allergies at dinner was fine, but breakfast was not catered for. I don't think I would stay there again

Really helpful and friendly staff. Clean rooms, but there was cockroach in one the room, addressed instantly but I think needs better control as it's not acceptable for the amount of money we are paying. One more thing is since we have booked a couple of rooms under same booking and requested for two adjacent rooms as travelling with elderly parents, that was not provided and rooms were same floor but way apart, which was bit upsetting for me. To me premium price requires premium service.

I liked the location of the property, easily accessible within Colombo, the rooms were nicely decoratored & furnished. The hotel felt safe. The room service was excellent. The breakfast buffet had great options. The lunch buffet was good too. The staff were very polite & helpful. The only negative would be cleanliness. We stayed for 11 nights & it didn't feel like the rooms were vacuumed regularly, nor given a thorough clean during our stay. The corridors didn't look like they were vacuumed regularly, either.

It's a lovely hotel with a wonderful breakfast and amazing staff who all go out of their way to make your stay pleasant. The rooms are spacious and the beds are very comfy. A couple of issues were the musty smell in our room and the shower got the floors wet in the bathroom when taking a shower.

The staff are lovely at this hotel. We were greeted with a welcome drink and our room was upgraded. Unfortunately there is construction going on right now and our ocean view was spoiled by it. The hotel is modern and fresh. Bed is comfy. The Rooftop has a restaurant, small gym and pool. The location seems to be at the opposite end to everything we want to see in Colombo which means extra tuk tuk travel to get where we want to be.

Nice room. Good air conditioning. Comfortable bed. Reasonable infinity pool. Central location. Sound proofed. Great views. One issue was the room smelled of tobacco even though it should be a non smoking room. Bathroom and toiletries wonderful. Unable to get a beer however and needed to go across the road to Marino Mall. Certainly five star accommodation but pity about the smell of tobacco smoke.

I have stayed here before. So room and all accessories were perfect with two exceptions. Bedroom window/door to balcony, looked out on Galle Rd (i.e front facing). However double glazing not at all sound proofed and did not dampen street noises as expected. This is a disappointment. Secondly, TV was unable to pick up any channels telling me to reprogram them but then asking for a pin code. Last time it was the same although last time reception send a tech savvy gentleman to help. I did not have the heart to complain again!

This property, js very noisy cant sleep at night. Also why is there someone in the gym looking at you working out especially a guy. That js creepy. The noise level is too high cant sleep. I was given a room facing Galle Road andnit was a upgrade it felt like a downgrade.for the noise they should do something.

The staff at the reception were rude did not acknowledge even once customer service was non existent. Same food served at the buffet everyday. Complaints were not heard and not acknowledged. Drinks on the menu was not available. Only the flavours of the day. The staff at the restaurant are not courteous. The manager on duty is arrogant. Billing to the room for the food ordered was blocked 48 hours before check out. The explanation given when questioned was that it is the policy for online customers. Many negative reviews given by previous guests. Will not stay at this hotel again and will not recommend Expedia to promote this hotel.

Arrived at 3am and took more than 30 mins to check-in despite there were two at the reception and no other customer at the arrival time. Room was clean and tidy but was located to the main road and was very noisy Breakfast buffet was ~20usd which was a total joke of a overprice, do no opt-in for the breakfast buffet

I got sick from the restaurant food, and checked out after 2 days - The hotel is not how it looks on pictures, and they promised me a refund for the days I checked out, asked to get an e-mail that they started everything but they didn't. Still waiting for anything from them, they haven't delivered on their promise. Completely terrible service, hotel, food and hotels.com has also been terrible

I called the hotel ahead of my vist that I need transport to the airport. They said it would be arranged when I check in. When I checked in, they said the hotel transport is no longer available. They however arranged an expensive taxi. I asked them if driver takes credit card and they said yes, I asked again the following morning before leaving and they confirmed. The driver at airport said he doesn't have any credit card facility! It was a big hassle arrangin cash at the airport. Check was ok but the person at check in was not friendly. There was no drink offered at check in. The food at the restaurant was ok. I’ve never seen such low quality 5 star hotel.

Hotel was clean and staff were very helpful and pleasant at all times especially Leon. The resturant food under Chief Mark Kumar is just great. The failure is the location of the hotel facing a busy street where bus drivers seem to sleep on nosey horns. The pillows in the room were wafer thin and uncomfortable. Laundry charges can be described as anything but a rip-off.

Ett alldeles förträffligt hotell att bo på, mitt i city. Bra skick, rent och snyggt. Förstod inte innan att det är ett "halal-hotell", det vill säga det finns ingen alkohol överhuvudtaget. We enjoyed our stay at the Manadrina. The staff were friendly, professional and helpful and it was great to have a restaurant on site. Rooms were comfortable. The buffet breakfast had a good international selection but it would have been nice to have a larger selection of fruit. The service for fresh egg dishes probably needed more staff to better cope with demand. Overall a great stay and would stay here again

We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel MANDARINA...The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, the room was spotless and comfortable, the breakfast and dinner buffet was a real highlight, with a wide variety of delicious options. The hotel's location was also perfect, within walking distance of all the major shopping Malls and Hospitals. We would definitely stay here again."

Good hotel. Very comfortable beds and pillows, large rooms in a good area of colombo. Pool is really nice and during our stay nearly always empty. The hotel is dry, ie no alcohol, which might not be a problem but we stayed there on new years eve. It should say this in the hotel information, also no mention or knowledge of vip access scheme so no upgrade, refused discount on food/drink etc.

Biggest problem - this is a dry hotel. So just to clarify, if you want a glass of wine or beer by the lovely rooftop pool? You cant. Having said that, you can bring your own alcohol in although I am not sure if they will allow you to bring it into the restaurant or the pool areas. Other than that, a really great location, and product and services along the lines of above a Premier Inn, more like a Holiday Inn, Marriot Courtyard or Hilton Gardnen Inn
