Holiday Inn Express - Luzern - Kriens by IHG

Very satisfied with our stay at Holiday Inn Express Luzern. The staff was great, especially Nicola, who was very kind and helpful. Clean rooms and a comfortable stay.

Despite the hotels . Com description, this property does not have an on site restaurant or on site parking. The parking is in a public multi story car park across the street, and further down the road, therefore not possible to leave bags in the car, and would be a struggle for less able body people. The restaurant serves buffet breakfast only, we were told that other meals were not an option, and we would have to visit local restaurants. Third point, the hotel is described as pet friendly…. It is pet tolerant we were not able to take breakfast with our dog with us (for clarity, she is 4.5kg and tiny, very well behaved). We compromised by having breakfast in the reception area, as leaving our dog alone in the room is not an option.

Staff very nice, great location, 2 minutes from Train Station, could do with mini fridge in room, toaster at breakfast time and better selection of meals in the evening

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel, the staff were very friendly and helpful, we stayed for one night and were able to leave our luggage on our arrival day and departure day which gave us 2 full luggage free days to explore. On dropping off our cases were were given a city pass which allowed us to use public transport around the city free of charge. It is 2 stops (6 mins) from the city on the train and so easy to get back and forth with trains running well into the night. It is also a short bus ride from pilatus gondola which we experienced and is well worth a visit. The room itself was well equipped with a kettle which is always a bonus, the bed was comfortable and the room was plenty big enough for us and our luggage. Everywhere was clean and the shower worked well. Breakfast had ample choice all set out nicely with plenty of seating. I would love to go back to Luzern as it is a lovely town and I will definitely stay in this hotel it was also good value for money.

It’s a budget hotel. Okay to stay with basics facilities. Floor can be cleaner. Not much to complain.
