Property was fine. It was clean, the room was keep clean, and the complimentary breakfast was ok. The only thing I did not like was that there wasnt any complimentary parking at this location. When I booked it, the information on parking didn't show. Parking was over $60 each day. This is too expensive and the staff didn't help explain how the parking structure accross the street offered discounted parking and how it worked so we overpaid also.

The hotel staff were very friendly, the cleaning service came and collected towels and refreshed daily with was really nice. The balcony overlooked the river and it was so nice and peaceful. The breakfast was so good and had so many options to choose from! With different options everyday which was so nice. The pool was nice, only 3ft deep but was so nice for small kids to play!

All the shopping and dining is within 5-15 minute walk from hotel. Breakfast was good and always hot. The room was very clean, and for safety the elevator required room key to use. Nicely equipped gym. Only down side is in the dining area there was a couple water leaks in the ceiling that look like they haven’t been addressed for a while- buckets collecting water and towels on the floor is the remedy for now.

There is no prior note that parking is only available as Valet and that it costs $50.00 / night. Also, if you are expecting a nice pool, the pool is very small, smaller than a regular home pool and not very clear, again because of the size and the amount of kids in it.

My experience started well but the valet service they have was terrible. I paid for a two night stay and my valet ticket was closed out. The valet manager didn't know how to help me. He had to go across the other hotel to get help from the other valet manager. I had to pay for another night for them to get my car. It was a terrible experience. I had to check out from the hotel one night early. I wish the Hotel can have a say so since that speaks on them as well.

Location of the hotel is wonderful, with great access to the river walk. The resort style pool area is beautiful. There is no parking so you have to find public parking, which is $30 per day. The breakfast area is not well designed and extremely chaotic in the morning. Could hardly find a place to sit and lengthy lines for everything. It is free, so there was not high expectations.

The HSKP who cleaned my room on 12/31 was a very attentive. Breakfast was wonderful, all front desk was very friendly. The bathroom sink was clogged, two elevators out of service. With all those people, we waited a long time to go up to the room.

We arrived and were assigned room 731, and when my daughters checked their beds there was hair and it looked like linens were not washed. My wife checked our bed and it was the same thing and the pillow cases were dingy and some had hair as well. We got new linens that night but I had to go down to get it. The showers in room 731 would go from hot to cold. Nobody enjoyed a proper shower. This morning around 6am we woke up because the AC smelled like something was burning. Wish we could get our money back. This stay was one of the worst hotels we ever stayed at.

Although breakfast was just regular food, it is better than nothing. Bottled water is provided upon request at the registration although some of the staff are stingy, instead of giving the bag with 2 bottles, they just gave us one bottle from the bag…😳. The room was not thoroughly cleaned… there was a dental floss stuck in the bottom of the bed while clean towels had hair on them. Majority of the staff were nice and accommodating except for that one stingy staff.

I absolutely loved the spacious room layout. I was away for business but this room would have been great to accommodate my family of 4. I love the details of the room: extra large closet (mirrored 2 side closet!), large "kitchen" area (love the counter space!), pull out sofa bed, ironing board, appreciated the separated sink and shower area (time saver for multiple showers); useable shelves under the sink, multiple USB outlets and large desk area! Great room for families and business trips! The dining area looks out over the river walk. I would highly recommend. Also, very friendly, helpful service!

To Breakfast was a better view. The rooms view sucked. The bathroom lacked a convenient electrical plug and the shower faucet came out in my hand when I was trying to turn it down to cooler. I almost boiled trying to get the handle back on and turn it down. That’s dangerous!

The location on the Riverwalk is great. It is a quiet segment but very convenient to everything. The room was decent but strangely configured. The couch was perpendicular to the tv, making watching a bit difficult and there was a desk in the way so a chair couldn’t be moved there. The shower didn’t work well. I think there was something wrong with it and the hot water knob had to be in a (very) different place each time. It was always a guess to find the hot water. Also, housekeeping came in the very late afternoon, when we were back getting ready to go out for the evening.

The Hampton Inn & Suites has one thing going for it. Location, location, location. Our check in was a mess. We were assigned to a room and then at 10 in the evening, they started calling us asking us who we were and what room we were in. The next morning when we went to the desk they informed us we were is a room charged to a different person and we were being charged for a different room. It got straightened out, but it was kind of a mess. There seemed to be a significant leak in the pool area as the dining space had towels and industrial fans all around to soak up the puddles. I don't think we had high expectations. Staying on the River Walk is spendy. We had a place to sleep at night and didn't spend much more time in our room than that.

Perfect location! The staff was incredibly kind, especially John at the front desk. He was very helpful. There is a huge parking garage directly in front of the hotel, which makes it very convenient if you don’t valet. The room was extremely spacious and clean. We will definitely stay here again.

Man at checkin was very rude. He ignored us and didn’t give info about the room. Called twice and was put on hold. Had to go to the front desk to ask a simple question about adjusting the tv position which could have been answered over the phone.

My husband and I spent an extended weekend in San Antonio. The hotel location is in a perfect location for any riverwalk activities. Down the stairs and you are right on the riverwalk. We had a room with a balcony overlooking the riverwalk which was nice to sit outside with a glass of wine and people watch. The hotel staff were very accommodating and super friendly. The breakfast was ok and we arrived fairly early and the food was cold. Both mornings. The hot water in the shower and bathroom sink was lacking. Luke warm at best. Earlier in the morning 6 am it was hot but a shower at 9 am it seemed like the hot water was running out. We had two queen beds and one bed was broken. The hotel maintenance were attentive to fix it. The room seemed very clean but the floor was very dirty. Our feet got very dirty from walking on the floor. White socks were black. There is a parking lot directly beside the hotel and parking there was plentiful at $35 for overnight. It didn’t make sense to valet park for $50 when I assume the hotel uses the same parking garage. In spite of a few minor items I would stay at this hotel again and highly recommend for perfect location and friendly staff.

So cool On river walk! Easy to park in garage across street! Water was very hot and wouldnt go any other temperature which was not my most favorite. The breakfast was okay but they didnt have syrup multiple days and another was only sugar free syrup. But overall I would gladly stay again!

The free breakfast was not ready @ 6am- after I finally found someone to ask at the front desk I was told there was a “delay” this particular morning and could not tell me when it would be available. We had to leave without being able to eat anything. On top of everything, we had to pay a $35 fee to check in on a room that was ready when we arrived an hour early.

Our room wasn’t ready at the 4:00 check-in time. The breakfast area tables were dirty and the food wasn’t replenished for the crowd of guests. We had to ask twice for a bottle in our room to be refilled. We had to make two calls because the TV wasn’t working and there was never any follow up by staff. The pool (which was originally a large draw for us) was always packed the small children and large flotation devices/toys. No room in the pool for adult guests. We checked on three separate occasions and it was always the same. Room was nice and bedding was lovely, but overall disappointing.

This is the second stay we as a family have had at this location and it has been great both times. The location is convenient. The breakfast is pretty decent. My kids really enjoyed the pool. We will definitely utilize this location for our next trip to the Riverwalk.
