Hilton Garden Inn Memphis Downtown Beale Street

This Hilton Garden Inn was spectacular for proximity to beale street and was amazingly from check in to check out! All the staff was amazing and so helpful ! We absolutely loved the indoor pool, quietness of the stay, the comfy beds, the gated and secure hotel patron only parking lot!! We can't wait to return!

The room and most everything about the hotel was nice. Our first night we were dining at the Greyhound, but couldn't sit outside or in the actual restaurant because the marijuana smoke was so strong. Then the next day we were swimming and a large light fell out of the side of the pool next to us. It had a large warning tag of electrocution on it, so we quickly jumped out of the pool. The staff was informed, but they seemed unconcerned and did not close the pool. They're was a lot of street/traffic noise. The best think was the beds were super comfy and the kitchen staff were superb!

I liked you had to have a key to go anywhere. Even in the elevator.

What was unique ? Long check in, the “system” was down. False fire alarms, the word was guests smoking in rooms. The staff was polite and apologetic. Can’t blame them. And what seems to be a problem in many higher end hotels, plumbing fixtures that leak and don’t work well. Shower drip all night on a metal plate! Put a towel under it! Seems to be questions about parking. Sign out front says parking 32$ . Pay at front desk. Can”seem to post pics here. The staff were good but Hilton needs to step up their game a little. Your prices and reputation for great properties and all….

Clean and comfortable room. Tried to go to the restaurant in the hotel for happy hour at 5 but, we ended up going elsewhere. There were several staff members standing around talking to each other while myself and several others were waiting outside to open the doors. After several minutes after opening time, we went to dinner elsewhere.

First, we had pubic hair all over the toilet. The maintenance lady was in the room right after we checked in and stayed in there for about five minutes. The bathroom door is broke. There’s no AC in the hallway I would really like a refund to be honest

The room was really dirty. I had a stay from Tuesday to Friday and they did’nt clean my room not even once.

It’s a very nice hotel in downtown, ten min walk away from Beale st and all the attractions. Breakfast was simple by delicious with a lot of dishes available a la Carte. The room itself could use some dusting, cleaning was every other day but the bed was never made, which isn’t the end of the world it’s just a bit unusual. Water pressure is very poor and the shower head doesn’t come off so it’s a little tricky :) overall a nice place but not perfect. We did enjoy our stay though!

Terrible service! Would not clean our room after many requests!! Never again! Service was good in the breakfast area but awful for the room!

My flight came in late but I was still able to get checked in quickly. The staff was very friendly. Housekeeping does an amazing job keeping up with the rooms.

Something splattered on the ceiling. Something splattered on the bathroom’s sliding door. Shower floor is a mess. Shower handle is falling off. Gal at the front desk is going a video convo with friends and could care less.

Honestly not a great experience. We found tobacco items under our mattress when checking for bed bugs. Hotel staff never responded to call requests for more towels, or to fill the shampoo container that was found empty when we arrived. Would not recommend to anyone in the future.

The front desk staff was fantastic, especially Lenisia and Dawn, who tried to solve all our issues kindly and efficiently. Unfortunately, the breakfast team was not very helpful and did not understand that our breakfast was included, requiring us to sign a bill for the hot items every day. The hotel was not very clean; in fact, we had to move to another room because of a bad smell, which seemed like pet odor. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, but housekeeping is only provided every other day. The water pressure in the shower was quite low. We don’t think we would stay there again.

It was a very beautiful hotel the only problem was, no room service. We had to call someone to clean the room after being gone all day..The sliding door leading to the bathroom was off the hinges we had to end up putting sliding door back up. Other than that our hotel stay was a great and wonderful experience.

My room has a musk smell and even leading down the hallway to the room. The office chair in the room had a soil stain. Overall the room was clean and the night was quiet.

The valet system was a bit confusing at first, because we couldn't figure out where to park in order to check in. The mattress in our room was hard and uncomfortable to sleep on. The TV needed to be mounted higher on the wall so that you could see it when laying down in bed.

Nice place, friendly staff, Very helpful manger Dawn, hot water was very hot, never stayed anywhere before a water was hot all the time. Bed wasn’t the best a little hard , room was very spacey. Will stay here again

Broken window blinds, tattered shower curtain, working tools left on floor. Had floors been cleaned the tools would’ve been found. Really dive bar experience in lobby bar. Desk staff do their best. Not what I anticipated from a Hilton

We rented this room in particular because it is advertised as having a deep soak bath tube. The tub in the room standard and due to handicap accessories you cannot comfortably lay in it. There were hundreds of rooms in Memphis last night. We chose to stay at this one because of the bathtub option. Without it the room was a disappointment. Great staff and service. The room could have been cleaner and been closer to what was advertised.

The room was very nice and clean. The only thing we didn’t care for was the barn door in the bathroom. the door wouldn’t stay closed and would roll open.

The service was excellent, and the food and bar was also excellent. The room had some minor drawbacks, lightbulbs were out, sliding bathroom door would not stay closed.

There are no place to store your clothes no dresser or drawers. The food was not very good at all.

The front desk staff was amazing. Loved them down. Informative, hospitable and super pleasant.

It looks like a nice hotel from outside but from the service point of you it was a disaster. House keeping was supposed to come every other day to make the room but instead they haven’t come for 4 days after 2 consecutive warnings. The attitude of the personnel for this problem was not appropriate. I can’t see how this can be a Hilton branded hotel!

Dawn and the entire staff are the very best . They were very welcoming and extremely helpful in every way possible!!

We liked everything except when we checked in. The lady who checked us in spent more time texting and talking on her personal phone than checking us in. Other than taking forever at the reception desk she was great.

In less than five minutes we were checked in. The staff was courteous and the room was comfortable and clean. The hotel is in walking distance to restaurants and attractions which was such a convenient way of enjoying the city.

The hotel was downtown Memphis. The diner located on the first floor had a dj. The dj's music was so loud that it was difficult to fall asleep. Additionally, since the hotel was located near the stadium, there were fireworks that went off in the night. The window were inadequate to block out the sound and made for a difficult night sleep prior to traveling the next day.

Excellent location, very clean hotel, friendly helpful staff, excellent elevators. Very close to the Peabody Hotel where we had breakfasts and cocktails. However, I did not feel safe and there were very noisy motorcycles tearing down the street at 2:00 am in the morning! I also did not like the smell in the room, but I guess you don’t notice it after a while. A very high crime city!

For the price and location; no better deal. Staff wonderful. Room clean, spacious. Best part is location. 1 block to Peabody Hotel and Lanskys. 5 minute walk to FedEx Forum and beginning of Beale Street. 10 minute walk to Sun Studios

Property was very clean and within walking distance to Beale Street and Auto Zone ballpark (although walking around downtown Memphis at night can be a little dicey).

Easy to find. Check in was easy, attendant was nice and helpful. Room had plenty of space, clean, bed and pillows were comfortable, very quiet. Walking distance to the Peabody, Beale Street and FedEx Forum.

Everything the hotel did was great - the staff were superb. Only reason I rated one thing a 4 out of 5 was due to the noise coming from the streets. The music is great - the hours of cars and motorcycles revving their engines not so much.

Our room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. The continental breakfast was great and very affordable. One complaint: We were only provided cardboard coffee cups in the room - no glass or plastic glasses for water or wine.

Desk staff were efficient not very friendly. Was not happy that the bar closed early on Saturday not. Bartenders were not friendly at all dis appointed in customer service I would rate it from one being terrible to 5 been excellent a l

The restaurant menu had no prices. The wait in the restaurant for dinner was excessively long. The hotel was beautiful.

The room was clean and comfortable. i have no problem with that. I have stayed in much less expensive hotel/motels that have had wonderful breakfasts included with the price of the room. At the Hilton they charged $15 for the breakfast (eggs, bacon, dry potatoes, pancakes) and an additional 5 bucks if you took anything from the "continental" section, (juice, fruit, english muffin, toast, jelly). They said they were out of the pods for in-room coffee. Ok, well they had acceptable coffee in the breakfast area. However, the last day of my stay they didn\'t even have coffee there. "I\'m sorry sir, but we\'re out of coffee" was their answer. One morning of my stay they didn\'t even have breakfast at all, citing they were out of food. Then, let me talk about the bar area. The place was open, but lights were off, not very inviting at all. My friend and I decided to have a hamburger in there. We each ordered at the same time. One hamburger was served 15 minutes later, and it took a full 20 minutes before the second burger was served. Over in the corner were members of the bartender\'s family, ie mother, sisters, little children and they didn\'t seem to have any problems getting their meals served. Then let me mention the snack shop. $5.00 for a simple Hershey bar. $5.00 for a little bag of chips. That\'s just over the top ridiculous gouging. The name "Hilton" used to mean something, but not any more to me. I would never ever ever choose Hilton for a place to stay.

Friendly professional staff. Clean room. Had breakfast twice and thought it was much too expensive considering the quality (pancakes were dry and packed). Everything else about the stay was excellent although the concept of an unlockable barn door on the bathroom is ridiculous. No one needs to glean that much personal information from there travel companions from around the crack of the bathroom door.

A great staff and great dining. I was in Memphis attending a funeral. The staff was extremely sensitive to my presence and went out their way. Special kudos to Ashton and the whole bar crew, They prepared a great dinner and overall timely service.
