Great location within walking distance to all major sites in Lyon. Fabulous exterior. Very nice lobby and restaurant on site, with great ambiance. An excellent spa, with very attentive staff. Room service works like clockwork, better and more reliable than you'd find in any hotel. Rooms are rather basic, however; bathrooms are clean and modern, but the rest of the room feels dated and cheaply made (old carpets, cheap desks, worn out lamps, etc). One of my TVs did not work. And the gym is tiny and not equipped at all (the sole machine there is semi-broken). Not the level of a facility I came to expect from a hotel of Intercontinental's caliber.

The location of this hotel is great for Lyon and the history of the hotel is amazing. The bar in the hotel was a highlight. For a five star hotel (and the price per night) there were some significant downfalls: -One day after my room was cleaned the door to the room was not closed, was able to just open the door without scanning my key to get in -The courtyard has music playing 24/7, even with the window closed it was loud enough to make sleeping hard -For a hotel of this level not having the ability to chrome cast is unfortunate (making movies only available via renting seems like a cash grab) -At check out I was notified of charges for the restaurant and room mini bar on my room when I never ate at the restaurant nor used the mini bar during my stay Unfortunately I would not recommend this hotel to stay at in Lyon. Definitely take a tour of it if you’re visiting, but choose a different hotel for your stay.

Tres bon service, belle grande chambre, tres propre. Buffet petit dejeuner bon et varié. Bon service des voituriers et recharge gratuite de notre voiture electrique. Par contre, dans la cour le l'hotel se situent bar et club et selon la chambre, les basses resonnent jusque 1h du matin le vendredi et samedi soir. Nous avons du changer de chambre. Aussi, l'hotel facture 39 euros par nuit pour les chiens mais aucune petite attention en chambre n'est prevue meme pas une gamelle pour l'eau. Il faut aussi savoir que l'hotel etant en plein centre, il n'y a aucun coin d'herbe a proximité pour sortir votre chien, Lyon etant tres betonné.

The Intercontinental Lyon was an excellent choice. Clean, luxurious and comfortable, the location was central and there are about 6 restaurants on location that were all good options. Breakfast was pricy, but there was an excellent pastry shop around the corner where we went to breakfast. Theodore was the best restaurant on location and they also have a Michelin restaurant at the hotel. Price was reasonable for the stay. Also, check out the Bocuse Market about a mile walk from this hotel. Not to be missed. Lyon is the food capital of France.

Room was not cleaned daily and 2 nights there was no turn down service. Had to call Front desk just to get room cleaned. Concierge made dinner reservations at Bistro Theodore on a Sunday when it was closed. Servers in main restaurant were excellent. For a five star this lack of consistency in service is unacceptable

Lovely hotel in great location. Our room was adjacent to our sons’ room in the original hotel building. It was extremely quiet and very comfortable. Windowsills could’ve used some cleaning as they were quite dusty and dirty. Otherwise, very nice accommodations and terrific breakfast.

L'hôtel est très agréable, avec un cadre magnifique et un personnel à la fois professionnel et attentif. Le bar « Le Dôme » offre une ambiance impressionnante. Cependant, quelques points mériteraient d’être améliorés pour un établissement 5 étoiles. Le petit-déjeuner, bien qu'abondant, manque de variété : les crêpes étaient un peu sèches, probablement en raison de leur préparation à l'avance, et le service ne nous a pas présenté toutes les options possibles pour les plats chauds. Overall the hotel was nice. But the room layout was not very good. There was stairs, separating the bathroom and the bedroom. There were lights that lit when you got out of bed, but they turned back off before you headed back up the stairs to go back to bed. Fumbling around in the dark made going back to bed difficult..

Bel hôtel dans son ensemble mais la réception, le room service et la conciergerie ne répondent pas au téléphone pendant plus d’un quart d’heure dans la matinée , alors que l’on a besoin d’eux pour le petit déjeuner et pour préparer le départ, descendre les bagages et faire venir la voiture du parking, c’est quand même pas normal pour ce type d’établissement.

The service was terrible. We needed to talk to the manager but she ignored all of our messages. I would never stay at this or another Intercontinental. The hotel used to be an old hospital. we needed to open 6 different doors and enter with our key prior to entering our room. The pictures from the outside are deceiving.

Everything was good but we almost lost the flight because they took more than 20 minutes to pick up the luggage while we were waiting in the car and told the every 5 minutes . Everything was great people are lovely and the location is great. Only annoying part was after you spend nearly €1000 for a room plus pay for breakfast. There should be absolutely no additional charge for an eggs Benedict. It’s absolutely ridiculous and very very embarrassing. Sorry, but that Makes the hotel look so very cheap.

We are so glad that we reserved the courtyard room. It was so nice and peaceful after exploring the city all day. The beds were super comfortable. The room was immaculate. HUGE bathroom with full soaking tub. The cloisters and architecture was gorgeous. Breakfast selection was good but service was hit or miss. For the amount we were charged, it should be better. We also tried Le Dome. Disappointed in the service which was not welcoming at all. The drinks were terrible. The dome was the only good part about that experience. The location of this hotel was perfect for walking all over the city.
