This place is a bit outside Rovaniemi (18 min by car) along the road towards South. We took it to accomodate us on our way back home from family skiing trip at Levi. The building is an old schooling facility for the forest rangers. You can feel the history of the buildings but inside the rooms you have a modern touch. The rooms are very spaceous and allowed easily our 4 person family to fit in with ease. The breakfast was great and the staff was very helpfull and nice. There was a sauna also downstairs that we didn't get to test this time. Also I suppose the river next to the hotel would be open for swimming during the summer months.

Nossa estadia foi maravilhosa. Os funcionários são gentis e atenciosos. O quarto foi confortável e tudo funcionou perfeitamente. O hotel é apenas 17 km de Rovaniemi por uma estrada bem tranquila. O estacionamento é espaçoso e o hotel está numa localidade linda. Os jantares que tivemos feitos pelo cozinheiro Tamer foram especiais! Muito obrigada pelo acolhimento!

Lovely old place dont be put off by the exterior the rooms have been refreshed. Book a ground floor if you dont like stairs. Breakfast was good but restaurant basic. Nice sauna. 20 k from Rovaniemi. You will need a car.In summer some activities are available on site.

Trivelig hotell utenom sentrum, derfor sikkert så rimelig også. Likte alt, gratis parkering, middagen, frokosten osv. Et lite minus er at det ikke er heis. Pakket på en annen måte da jeg bar bagasjen tilbake i bilen.

We stayed in Appartment F. The site is beautiful and well cared for. It's about 20 minute drive to Rovaniemi. The site is next to a river which froze over winter. There is a lovely hut here which has an evening fire. You can also ice bath and enjoy a hot tub here. The room we stayed in was incredible. It included a sauna which was very welcome. The room was big, cozy and well equipped for our stay. The beds were super comfy and had a lot of room around them too. The staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was a lovely buffet which included cooked items as well as local cuisine. We will be coming back and I would recommend others to visit!

Een enorme verrassing, na eerst de schok te hebben gehad van de aanblik van de buitenkant van het hotel. Onwijs leuke en vriendelijke mensen, lief voor huisdieren en geweldige apartementkamer!! Enige vervelende was de warmte binnen, ook snachts.

The hotel is simpple but very nice. The stuff was friendly and willing to help if needed. Breakfast was also nice. Only thing wich was not so nice was the peperthin wooden walls beetween the rooms. We were lucky because the neighbours did not stay awake too long but, it really felt that they are next to my ears, and we were even using earblugs😁

Gorgeous large room with comfortable beds and a really nice kitchen. A wonderful wet room, the shower was exceptional. We also had a fantastic view. The breakfast was excellent. Big thank you to the reception staff who organised last minute onsite ski mobile rides for my children.

wir haben ein zimmer bestellt - nachdem es im 3. stock gewesen wäre - ich aber probleme mit dem knie habe - bekamen wir die suite im erdgeschoss - suite 1a und frühstück sehr vielseitig - alles war weihnachtlich dekoriert und sehr schön hergerichtet - im winter muss hier noch viel schöner sein !!!

I was there in January, it was an absolute amazing stay! The staff was so friendly and down-to-earth like we ‘Dutchies’ are as well, I loved my stay. Would recommend this to everyone who wants to visit Lapland. The tours are great too! 5 stars *****. Greetings Arlin :)

We stayed in the 3 bed apartment which was amazing, located just 100m or so from the main hotel. It was well furnished with everything you could possibly need with the bonus of your own private sauna. The food was buffet style and even with 2 children with multiple allergies (milk,soya,oats) the staff went out their way to cook anything if there was nothing or limited things for them to make sure they were included. The staff were very accommodating, polite and friendly. We would love to return and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Other thing is transportation is at least &42 euros or more to the city center each way!! Adoramos o hotel, excelentes instalações e serviços oferecidos,, quartos confortáveis , boa roupa de cama, café da manhã e jantar excelentes. A equipe é muito profissional e nos ajudou em tudo que precisamos, desde informações até o transporte para outros lugares que fomos visitar. A noite de 04/03/2025 ficará guardada em nossos corações, a Aurora Boreal estava magnífica, sendo que conseguimos visualizar na área do hotel, ao lado do lago, onde há uma cabana com está finalidade.. Lovely hotel, comfy beds, quiet, nice breakfast buffet each morning. Isolated. The restaurant was closed except for breakfast since it’s the off-season; that was a bit of a nuisance, but they sell snacks in the lobby. Sauna available in the evenings.

Un hotelito estupendo; para entendernos, como un hotel de montaña y también con ese ambiente. La comida fenomenal un buffet sufiente y variado. Solo probamos el de desayuno y cena. Está a 20 km de Rovanievi y para desplazarse hasta alli hay autobuses de línea en horario amplio de mañana, para volver por la tarde si hay que emplear taxi o el transporte del hotel…un precio aproximado de 40-45 euros viaje. Hay menos horario de tarde en los autobuses y nosotros fuimos en enero, y esperar en Rovanievi hasta las 20h, allí se hace duro, de noche, a -20 grados y con el comercio cerrado desde las 18h. El personal muy amable y profesional y el entorno es maravilloso, es recomendable tento en pareja como en familia o con grupo de amigos.

Nossa estadia foi maravilhosa. Os funcionários são gentis e atenciosos. O quarto foi confortável e tudo funcionou perfeitamente. O hotel é apenas 17 km de Rovaniemi por uma estrada bem tranquila. O estacionamento é espaçoso e o hotel está numa localidade linda. Os jantares que tivemos feitos pelo cozinheiro Tamer foram especiais! Muito obrigada pelo acolhimento!

Large, clean and well furnished room. Restaurant pizza might have been from frozen package. Outside needs better roads and black top parking lots. Too much junk visible outside and at the waterfront.

Unfortunately I didn't read the reviews more thoroughly. I relied only on the scores alone. A big mistake! Location in itself was not a problem, it's about 20 minutes from city centre but surroundings are beautiful and peaceful. Service is good, but the hotel itself was less than perfect. First and foremost there is NO elevator, soI had to carry a 20 kilo suitcase up to the third floor. Be aware that the hotel is not suitable for people with mobility difficulties as all access is by stairs, including to the breakfast room. Rooms are clean, but the are pretty simple, not soundproof and there is not even a place to put suitcases on. Breakfast is so so but if you want to eat make sure you get there early. At 9:45 and there was no coffee left and no refill, even though breakfast was supposed to be until 10am.

Hotel was clean and cozy and the staff was very nice and helpful. I arrived early before check in and was truly appreciative they were able to get me in the room early. Restaurant was great with a good variety of options, including at the buffet breakfast. I only wish the location was more central, there is nothing walking distance to it. If staying here I recommend having a car, or know you'll need to uber/taxi into town and back. Public transportation is very limited even during high season so it's not really an option. Despite this, I would definitely stay here again.
