Quality Inn Monteagle

Good place for those traveling with a pet who just need an overnight accommodation. I've stayed here several times.

Staff was very friendly and the motel overall was fine. I would stay there again if need be. Only problem with the actual property was no elevator (which didn't affect me but could be problematic to others).

Great location, only thing that is needed is more seating around the pool.

This was a very nice property and the room was nicer than expected. Just be aware that there is no elevator for the second floor rooms so choose accordingly if you cannot use lots of stairs.

Friendly staff. Room was comfortable and quiet. AC worked great. Bed was fine. Air freshener in my room was excessively strong and gave me a headache. Hallways, stairwells, common areas are basically clean but showing their age. Breakfast buffet area was fine, clean, well maintained, but beyond that, everything seemed a bit tired and past its prime. Outdoor pool is right next to highway. Breakfast was okay but the coffee was truly dreadful.

Place is well past its prime, outdoor upkeep was abysmal. Pool looked like a sludge pond.

Property is very nice. Odd there is no elevator.

Friendly Staff, no elevator

When entering property we were alittle apprehension since we were pulling a trailer. There was room in back to turn around but it was unknown. Entrance was small. Breakfast was good.

There was mold in the shower. The AC didn't work properly. It smelled like stale cigarettes. Beds were not comfortable- absolutely none of us slept well. Stay somewhere else.

Bed bugs and awful waited 3 hours to check in

Smelled terrible in the hallway, the room smelled just as bad. They had spray some sort of deordorizer in the room that settled on the floor which made it feel damp and sticky. Do not recommend if you have a sensitive nose.

Arrived at the hotel pretty late after our check in time just for our beds to not be made and still have the previous occupants dirty sheets on it. Hair all over the counter tops in the bathroom and bed. Poop literally left in the toilet. Room had absolutely not been cleaned and had plenty of time to be cleaned considering our late arrival. Front desk lady was kind but said she’d have to call the maid to come back into work to make the bed so we just did it ourselves.

Lobby entrance warm, inviting clean. Staff very courteous, professional and attentive. Room clean, comfortable bed & bedding, nice towels & clean bathroom. Location great.

Our room was clean but was humid and a little musty. The ceiling had stains that looked like they had been painted over. I was glad we were only here for one night. Staff was friendly and everything else was as expected.

The suite room was nice. We first had a basic room. The AC was making the carpet wet, and it had a pungent odor and damp in the room. We asked for another room. The second room was worse, and the suite was the last option and was fine and so they gave it to us for no extra charge. I think they were down to the last rooms at check in, and they might save the ones with the AC problems to the last that check in. Get there early and you'll probably be fine. Hopefully they fix the AC units, as there aren't many options in this area.

We had a big room with a comfortable, king bed. Overall the room was very clean. The tub/shower had a couple of black spots that looked like mold, and there was hair on one of the shower walls. It was unfortunate since the rest of the bathroom and the bedroom appeared spotless. The tub was also slippery; a rubber mat would be helpful. This hotel has two levels, and there is NO ELEVATOR. I didn't see that in the room description, but could have overlooked it. It was a surprise and a bit inconvenient. Breakfast was very good...waffles, eggs, sausage, breads, yogurt, cereal, coffee, juice, etc. Employees were friendly.

This stay was our 3rd stay at this hotel. As always we were very pleased with our stay. The staff are extremely welcoming, friendly. And helpful. We stayed for 5 nights over Christmas. The hotel was decorated so nice! Breakfast was good, with eggs, sausage, make your own waffles, cereal, pastries, and yogurt. Our room and bathroom was spotless! We were so comfortable here and will always stay here when visiting family in Sewanee. It is about a 7 minute drive to the University of the South campus and you cannot beat the value you are getting for the price! We highly recommend!

This was by far one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The carpet in the room was dirty and wet, which was already disgusting , but it gets worse. The entire room had a strong, awful smell that hit me the second I walked in. The sheets and pillows clearly hadn’t been properly washed , they smelled bad and felt dirty. The mattress was extremely old and uncomfortable, with a huge dip in the middle that made it impossible to sleep well. The whole building is outdated and poorly maintained. And to top it all off, the price was ridiculously high for this kind of quality. Absolutely not worth it. I will never come back and do not recommend this place to anyone.

Clean and quiet!

The property was clean, which is appreciated. the only downside was that the wifi was not working quality.

The room was very nice and clean. It is a convenient location. The desk staff was very helpful and nice. WiFi was the only issue as it was not that good from the room.

A lot nicer that we thought it would be. A little dated with the decor, but very clean and the bed really comfy.

Great place to host family coming from out of town. Even though the hotel was completely booked during their stay, there was no issues with outside noise and the room was clean and comfortable.

Only disappointment was WiFi ; losing internet connection too often

Need to fix the curtains so they block out the night security lights in room 107. It was like high noon in our room because the curtains don’t touch the wall to block out the light

On the second night of my stay, I was awakened by loud banging and a man screaming in the room directly above me. I called the front desk, but no one was there. Apparently, the front desk person was already trying to gain access to the room where all the commotion was. This went on for at least an hour and it was quite unpleasant and actually quite scary. I really think that some kind of compensation should be granted to those of us who endured this.

Ashley at the front desk was kind, patient and efficient after I misplaced a key. All of the staff were friendly and helpful.

Great staff!!! From check in to check out, we had nothing but smiles and courtesy. They were quick, professional and went above and beyond. The bed was very comfortable! This will definitely be our "go to" while in this area. Job well done!

Check in was easy, even at 2am. The room was clean, but not a huge fan of the air freshener they use. Staff was kind, I left my phone in the room, drove off and realized it was not on me. AI called the hotel and it was waiting up front for me.

The people! They made the difference. The place is great in every aspect. Clean, everything works, comfortable, good hot breakfast. Everything a business traveler wants and needs. You even had a corkscrew I could borrow. Most impressive of all were the friendly staff!! They were the best I have see in a very long time.

First, let me say that I don't expect to be on your Christmas card list, but, I stayed in this hotel for multiple days and not once, did any of the hotel staff say thank you, good morning, nothing! Upon check-in, I was greeted like I was your weird uncle coming to stay for a visit. Again, no 'welcome', thanks for choosing', nothing. After three days, I had to go to the front desk and ask for my room to be cleaned as the only service I had received was clean towels. No soap, no shampoo, even my trash hadn't been emptied. Bed never got made OR clean sheets after three days. I noticed some litter on the floor when I checked in and it remained there for four days so I know they weren't vacuuming. But, the cleaning staff kept putting up an envelope for a tip in front of the tv every day. Breakfast was your usual fare, waffles, eggs, and sausage. One day out of five, they put juice out. Check out was the same as check in, no 'thanks for staying', 'have a nice day', nothing. It seems very apparent that whoever owns or manages this property doesn't care, and the employees carry that same attitude. While I didn't expect five star service when I booked here, I certainly didn't expect one star service either. Nowadays, courteous service should be the least we should expect when travelling. If you don't want people to stay here, you're doing a great job of demonstrating that.

The room was very clean, and everything felt like new. The people at the desk were so friendly and it made the visit feel like I was staying with old friends. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling through the Monteagle Tennessee area. Clean, quiet, nice people everywhere you turned.

The left my 18 year old daughter outside until 2 am until i got ther. Told her to leave because i wasnt there yet. Said she was 18 so she couldnt check in. Even though i talk to them on the phone saying i was on my way but still left her on the streets in a big city by herself. I will not rent a room from them ever again.

For being close to the interstate it was really quite. The hotel is close to the Goat Market. Great place to eat. Not far from the University of the South or the caverns for entertainment. AND check in is at 2 pm. This is truly a great little find.

the stay was incredible. Quiet, clean, friendly staff, well organized and good breakfast. This was a great central location for numerous hikes at the South Cumberland Parks.

The location was perfect to visit the Caverns and close hikes/waterfalls. Check-in was easy, the rooms were clean, and the bed comfortable. Plus the free breakfast was really tasty. Overall great experience.

This was a very convenient, safe and clean place to stay close to Sewanee University of the South. Staff was very nice and accommodating. Would stay again at this affordable option.

Close to Caverns , and other attractions

Room was fine. Wish they had more breakfast items such as bananas or fruit. Also more juice selections other than orange juice.

Very good overnight stay while traveling from indiana to florida. Bed was very comfortable. Room clean. Bathroom had no exhaust fan which caused entire room to smell bad after hubby's trip. 😂 Wonderful breakfast! Definitely recommend this location. Price was great too!
