Stayed 1 night

The hotel is beautifully located in the mountains, near the city center, with a lovely large pool area and convenient parking and play area. Unfortunately, the service and attitude of some staff really affected our experience. Otherwise, this could easily have been a 4-star stay. At check-in, we were told the pool opened at 9:00, so we set our alarm, had breakfast and went to the pool. The breakfast selection was also more limited than expected. When we arrived, we were turned away by an unfriendly man who did not speak English and told us to come back in an hour. We later saw a sign in Albanian saying the pool opened at 10:00. Hotels.com stated 9:30, so we asked reception, who told us we could simply use the pool as it was open. The staff clearly weren’t aligned. My friend was also asked to leave a cabana by the same man. We later found out that the cabanas could be rented for an additional fee, which we would have been happy to pay if we got the information. We were also disappointed by the evening bar service. We ordered a rum and Coke and a gin and tonic, but were told they could not make cocktails, despite having the ingredients and equipment. We left and returned later, only to see drinks being made for other guests. After asking again, we eventually managed to get a drink. Overall, some staff would benefit from better communication and customer-service training. The hotel itself has a beautiful location and great potential.

Stayed 2 nights

Overall we enjoyed our 2 nights stay at the end of our selfdrive journey. We chose this accommodation to end the trip on a more luxurious note. For our teenage children the large swimmingpool was perfect. Unfortunately, as soon as we reached the sunbeds, we were told by the lifeguard on duty and the manager that our youngest son—who is 13, has been taking swimming lessons since he was six months old, holds all the swimming certificates, and snorkels in seas around the world —was not allowed in the deep pool. This was due to an incident that had just occurred involving a younger child whose parents had not been paying close enough attention; consequently, all children and young teenagers were required to stay in the shallow area. I explained that our son is perfectly capable of swimming on his own, though initially, that didn't make a difference. I said I understood that—especially since it had just happened—but that ending our trip that way wasn't what we had in mind. When I said we wanted to check out and look for a new hotel, he said that wasn't necessary and that my son would be allowed to swim in the deep end after all. I understand their policy; it wouldn't have mattered much to me to look for different accommodation. In the end, we were glad to stay there after all. The pool is truly beautiful.

Amazing nice hotel with private parking. Pool are big enough with sunbeads for all, smaller pool for kids. Restaurant with amazing view over sunset. Well worth the money!
