This is a perfectly fine hotel in Melbourne's CBD. It has a very good location and comvenient restaurants and shopping. By US standards, this was a 3 start hotel, which is fine. It does not have laundry service, although there are self-serve machines in the basement. It is also really hard to find a staff person to check you out if you have an early flight, although they purportedly are 24/7 front desk. I think they nay have been asleep in the back. Finally, housekeeping was lax. I was there for several nights and they did not chnage the bed linens (as evidenced by a pre-existing blood stain on a pillow case, nor did they vacuum). All of these things are normal for 2-3 star hotels (except the vacuuming thing) but by US standards this is not a 4 star hitel.

It is what I did not like. Advertise parking available. But it is a 20 minute walk away from the hotel. Not acceptable and would not have stayed if known.

Nothing to complain about here. The room was small with limited storage which may be a problem for some people, but it did not bother me for two nights. Room was very clean, and the bed comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful and minor issue was addressed promptly. I particularly liked the fast Wi-Fi and the ability to use Chromecast to the TV from my phone.

Excellent location. Easy to get around with the Melbourne Central Station of the free city tram in walking distance. State Library is also 3-5 minutes walk away. Just the washing machines in the self laundry are not clean for use if you happen to need the service.

Great location in the city so it’s very close to shopping and restaurants, etc.. the room is modern and clean and includes a good smart TV, staff are very friendly and helpful. I was hoping if the gym had more stuff so I don’t have to pay for a gym.

I was staying for a mental health stay, needed some solo time. I decided to choose this hotel because of the chrome cast. I emailed in to check about it as well. And the internet went out late Friday night and for my whole stay. Hotel its self was nice, rooms were nice, bed was comfy. Would be great to have a microwave added. People in the hall were quite loud and banging doors, but it is a hotel so you some what expect this.

Great location for theatre district & restaurants. Recommended parking location is not close but there are trams to get closer if you can't walk. Room was small but clean & simple with basic amenities. Balcony was pointless & a completely enclosed mesh view of wall of another section of the hotel (like an alcove)

Great stay for 2 nights. Love the King bed that was actually a real King bed and not 2 singles zipped together with a big seam running up the middle. My only gripe is the parking. Unless you can find a 5 min spot outside the hotel to concierge your luggage, you have to haul it from 300 LaTrobe st which is a good 10-15 min walk or tram ride. Not user friendly if you’re coming from the airport/interstate. Apart from this obvious issue I was very happy with the tv chromecast app (you can watch all your own shows from your own device on the tv). Bathroom was very small, a tiny shower head with low pressure for a Juliette sized shower left lots of wasted space. Would love better water pressure and maybe a choice of rain head or handheld to match the quality of the rest of the bathroom. Lots of dining options,close to Melbourne central, transport etc. Also would be much more convenient and comfortable if there was a microwave available.

Fabulous location, comfortable bed and good staff Unfortunately the housekeeping team let the hotel down on this occasion. We had to ask a couple of times for toilet paper, which was not replenished daily, as well as other toiletries just left thrown under the counter. Our bed was made, well kind of, the top sheet was pulled up but sheets very crinkled.

We stayed for 6 nights, everything was great except, if there was more attention given to cleaning, it would have made a big difference. Ex: 6 night stay and the carpet was never vacuamed. Actually, the carpet wasn’t very clean when we arrived.

By the reviews that I read on all of the booking websites for Brady Hotels Jones Lane, it sounded like such a great place to stay. They did allow us to have early check-in, which was so good. However, as soon as we got into the room, it was obvious that the room needed maintenance. Firstly, the carpet had wear and tear holes all over the place, there was a lot of mould in the shower, and it just overall needed a fix-up. The star rating for the cleanliness was very high; however, this was far from the truth. When we walked into the bathroom, it hadn’t even been cleaned, with hairs being all over the shower floor. We then called the receptionist to inform them of this; a person then came up to clean with no cleaning products, just a towel. She then left, and we went in to check, and the hairs were still there. We then went down to the reception and told them that we would be happy to clean it if they provided the products, and they said no and that they would go and clean again. We then went out, so I didn’t see if they brought any products to clean the second time, but the hairs were removed once we did get back to the room. It was also quite dusty, and there were some small hairs in the fridge, and you could just see that it overall needed a deep clean.

The staff was helpful however the room was very dirty, dust on every surface, old noodles under the bed, mold in the shower. We looked to switch rooms but found more of the same so requested they clean our original room which they were nice about but it did not help much. The location was convenient but would not recommend as a nice clean stay.

The plumbing of the building is quite bad. Terrible noises whenever water runs in any other room in the vicinity. Alrhough faily cleaning, shower is mouldy and hair from other customers prior to our visit remained visible.

Room was clean and bathroom well appointed. Room is a little smaller than what the photos on the website show but it was fine for a couple nights, lack of room for storing a suitcase though and a little tight to walk between the foot of the bed and where the TV hangs. Bed was fairly comfortable and the climate control was easy to use. Hotel is in a good area, QV is less than a 5min walk which is great for groceries/take out and the theatre district and Melbourne Central are also close by.

Nice property. Convenient area close to shopping and cafes/restaurants. Room clean. Lightning felt dull. TV didn’t work ( apparently there were technical issues across the system) whenever bathroom facilities were used in other rooms caused a loud whining noise- which wasn’t great in early hours of the morning. For our one night stay was good.

Balcony view was nice. Room was on level 9. Can let fresh air in, if required. Bed was spacious and comfortable. A/C system was very cold, which was nice, but also very loud even on fan speed one. Overall enjoyed my stay, would say again.

For a one night stay, this hotel was fine and was priced well. But the sound of water through pipes and sounds from the aircon unit (even though I had it turned off) kept waking me up. And there was noise from the laneway outside, despite being 10+ stories up. I’d bring ear plugs if I was staying here again. That said, bed was comfortable and shower was good. They only had single use / disposable shower amenities - which is not environmentally friendly.

Shower water pressure and water flow very low. Have stayed there for 6 nights, not a a single night I can have a good shower. This is a pain… A good shower is a critical part of the hotel stay, it fails badly here. On the contract side, the water pressure from the sink is extremely strong, if you open it full, the water will splash out towards you…. This is hilarious and make the shower even more pitiful :(

Absolutely perfect. Could not have been better for my short trip to the area. Service was exceptional. I staggered in after a 23+ hour journey and had my requested early check-in honored which made all the difference. Room was modern, clean, and well-appointed with a comfortable bed and a great view of Melbourne from the balcony. Extremely centrally located with walkability to everything in the CBD + tram lines and the central station for connecting to/from airport. Couldn't have been easier and would absolutely stay again!

I came to drop off my bag since my arrival to Melbourne was so early. Turns out that they had a room already ready at 9am and let me check in. I barely slept on the flight and I was exhausted so this was such a relief and I appreciate their kindness! Plus next day I overslept for the check out but they were nice about it as well. Thank you so much! Very nice hotel with clean rooms and convenient location.

Great stay experience. We were very happy with our stay at Brady Hotel Jones Lane Melbourne. The mark of a good organisation is when things go wrong - how well they make them right. Staff fixed everything quickly and professionally. I will come back to stay again. and I have joined the club for further benefits.

Such a great base for getting out and about in Melbourne, such a diversity of eating and imbibing options too. Big shout out to Mason at checkout who went above and beyond to sort my transport to the airport - the hotel shuttle to airport was in a plush van and at a great set rate. Can’t wait to go back’

Really slow check in. We arrived at 4.30pm and the room was not ready. (Apparently the room was not yet released by housekeeping to front desk). Finally got into our room to find that the Toilet Seat was broken!!! Is this a hostel?? Front desk came up and said they will find us another room. Waited another 10mins and we went down and they said we are fully booked with the room of choice. We are looking for a room for you. Really, Brady Hotels?? I've stayed here before but never experienced such bad service.

Good location, easy to walk to shopping and dining, trains and trams nearby. Room was very basic but was all I needed for a couple of days, no power socket in the bathroom was a little inconvenient and poor lighting for makeup but not a biggie. Fairly noisy so wouldn’t recommend if you’re a light sleeper.

Excellent location for our needs in easy walking distance of medical, shopping and food options with Koreatown further down Little Lonsdale and Chinatown an easy couple of laneway walk away in Little Bourke. Latrobe st Tram stop a laneway away in the other direction. Room was well renovated, with all the modern conveniences expected in the 2020's. Plenty of power and USB charging points for modern devices. 2 changes would be a benefit; get a shower head with pressure, it'll actually save more water as you don't need it on as long to rinse long hair and secondly revise your door key card system. We need to move on from cards which can't be held in a mobile phone because they will be wiped. Get the JustIN app setup, or cards which can be in phone wallets. Reasonably priced centrally located, but needs to accept Paypal for additional night changes via this app, as I paid for initial night with Paypal, but it didn't give that option when I needed to add an additional night. Don't waste your time with text/email pre-checkin hassles. There's a 24hr reception and the girls are very efficient.

Great location and that's mostly what you are paying for. The hotel and the room were fine but definitely get some ear plugs and be prepared to hear everyone in the rooms around you. The staff were wonderful!

This was a good hotel to stay at, great value and decent comfort. The fixtures and fittings of the room werent the best of quality but they were modern and did the job. The hotel was located in the chinatown area in a fairly convienient location.

Decided to go with Brady Hotel Jones Lane as it was at a competitive price and reviews were good. When I got there, seeing the exterior of the hotel, I thought | booked some dodgy place.... Don't let the exterior fool you (they're safety features). When I walked into the foyer it was a different feeling. I was greeted by Carrie, who was very friendly, smiling and welcoming. She advised me that my room was ready. Prior to my arrival I received a text from the hotel for online check in, therefore keys to room handed promptly. I also dealt with Jenny, who was as friendly and helpful. I booked a king room on the 11th floor. Room isn't big, however has the necessary comfort. Room and bathroom were very clean. Very comfortable bed. The hotel doesn't have an onsite restaurant, however there are a few eateries close by. At the time of my stay, tram services nearby were disrupted due to maintenance work (hotel website advised that). Melbourne Central is a ~10 minutes walk therefore not a major issue. The reason for 4 star is that carpet smelt musty and it’s a smell that hits you when you come out of the lift onto the floor. Otherwise a very pleasant stay.

Close to the theatre that we were visiting. Just stayed 1 night. If we had stayed more, we would've liked the hotel to have a bar & restaurant but for the 1 night we managed without. Very comfortable bed and quiet location, with an Italian restaurant next door and a couple of cafes close by. Check in staff were pleasant and efficient.

No tv in the building would work, so everyone was instructed how to chrome cast media from their phones in order to use the tv in their rooms. Shower was terrible and the bed was hard like a board. I have never complained about accommodation before, but this motel needs to improve. It cost us over $400 for the night because the NFL was on in Melbourne, just to add to our misery. We won’t be back. Luckily we were out for the majority of the night to see Neil Diamond concert and had a great time away from it.
