Convenient stop, staff uber nice, plenty of parking, nice lay out with common area gym, well lit, only complaint no microwave in the room, there’s one in the common area but no thank you .

Nice place, didn't realize there was no pool, but I would stay here again.

Great hotel. Clean and comfortable room. Very spacious. Staff was very friendly. Free breakfast. Ample free parking. The coffee was great and available all night. There’s a pool table and gym and water station which was very convenient. Price was great and location convenient. Only issue was the room was a little warm and the pillows were pretty basic. Not a ton of storage if you plan to stay a while either. Otherwise an OUTSTANDING stay. Definitely recommend.

Clean room & hotel. ALL of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. Several hotels next to it along with gas and fast food. Alot of fun amenities (pool table, games, gym, big TVs and great sitting in lobby). My only issue was no microwave in the room but there is one down by the front desk.

This is the 2nd time I’ve stayed at this hotel. Super clean and relatively new in Orangeburg, SC. Right off the interstate so it’s easy to access. I was in town for family business and needed a clean, quiet, reasonably priced place to stay. Tru really hits the mark, and will likely be my go-to in Orangeburg as I handle our family affairs. This hotel is very simple and streamlined. The microwave is in the lobby or outside the elevator on each floor, not in your room. No closets - hang your belongings on wall hooks or hangers in a nook on the wall. You can slide your luggage under the bed. Speaking of the bed, it’s on a wooden platform and I kept bonking my knee as I’d walk in the room. The rooms are small but they are very clean and new - not run-down at all. I saw one bug in the bathroom which is highly unusual. There is no bar but breakfast comes with your stay and it’s good. It’s a buffet in the lobby: bacon or sausage, eggs, pancakes, toast, yogurt, fruit, etc. Coffee and Juice too. Everyone working here is super-friendly and helpful. The staff is top-notch and deserves kudos. This is not a resort or a vacation destination and isn't meant to be. But if you’re looking for a clean, safe, comfy place to stay this will fit the bill. (One warning - avoid the Ruby Tuesday nearby. Bad food, terrible service, watered-down drinks and the decor has a fast-food glare. Just so disappointing. Orangeburg has plenty of mom-and-pop restaurants that will happily take care of you.)

The hotel was super clean and ran well. The gym was well equipped though the bench was pretty stiff. The only downside about staying here is the food options, but I can tell you from experience that is going to be the issue anywhere else you stay in Orangeburg.

When booked we thought hotel had pool and hot tub but they only had a pool table

Great area, modern and new. Would have liked to have had a coffee maker & coffee in the room.

We wanted a site close to I-26 , easy access and parking and a clean room, reception, corridors and easy and secure parking. All the objectives were met.

The first room smelled like garbage and had roaches. It was right next to the service room. I immediately left and asked for another room. Even though they were all booked up, the wonderful front desk clerk worked diligently at getting me a new room. She made some calls and one reservation was not going to make. In new room, air conditioner had a horrible rattling sound, not that soothing sound, and the floor was so dirty my white socks turned brown walking from the shower to the bed.Hiltons use to so nice, I regret being a member.

Cleaning staff did their job. Fresh towels and bathroom items. Only made the bed once in the 5 nights. But I’ll take it. Very nice stay.

We looked at three rooms before checking in and all 3 had a terrible odour - stuffy and with a varnish smell. We took the least offensive as we had a reservation and it was 10 pm. (The woman at the front desk was very nice.) But the place was dirty - scuffed elevators and dirty carpeting throughout. There was a party going on in the room directly above us with loud music and constant thumping. There didn’t seem to be anything the front desk could go about it, even though they were sympathetic to our situation. We’ve stayed at this hotel before but this time found it dirty, loud and WAY too basic for the money they are charging. We won’t be back. And we certainly don’t recommend it.

We stay here often on way to beach due to comfort and cleanliness.

Everything was great from chrck-in to checkout. Room was nice a spacious and very clean!

New hotel ( 6 years old), clean, room a little small, bed comfortable but the pillows were not, decent breakfast, $75 dog fee steep.

Room was extremely clean. A/C unit was extremely loud when it cycled on. Woke us up frequently during the night. Staff not particularly friendly.

Check in was very easy. I had a flight delay and the front desk person was very helpful in accommodating the new time. The room was clean and modern. The only minor compliant was the low water pressure and the water never got hot, which meant a luke warm shower. Maintenance can easily correct this hopefully.

The room was very basic and smaller than average, but it was made for up for by how exceptionally clean and quiet it was in the room and public areas. We arrived late at night, staff was very friendly, and the complimentary breakfast was very good. Great stop when on a road trip.

Paper thin walls

Clean and modern hotel. Friendly staff throughout. Only reason i didnt give 5 stars was how suprised i was to hear other guests through the walls and ceiling.

I got a king room and it was nice but super small. When you walk around the bed on the side by the window, the area is so narrow at the end when you get by the desk that you hit your leg on the sharp corner of the bed every time. While it was a king bed, the room was not big enough for 2 people.

The room we were in was the smallest hotel room I've ever been in. It wasn’t much bigger than a walk in closet. There wasn’t a dresser and you had to use hooks to hang things up. Taught me to look at the square footage of hotel rooms in the future. I doubt I will stay at a Tru hotel in the future.

We had the most wonderful individual named Nya behind the desk. When we arrived and checked in she greeted us with smile and overwhelming kindness. Due to Nya alone, my family and I will always look and reserve stays with Tru, not just in Orangeburg but anywhere we go, strictly because of Nya.

Everything was good. Breakfast was not very good, but sufficient. There was a man driving around the parking lot in the morning asking people for money. I reported it, as it was a bit frightening when he pulled up right next to me as I was packing my car. The front desk was not at all concerned or interested. Several other people were also approached. At the least I thought she should make the police department aware. But she seemed very uninterested

Rude rude and add some rude

Everything was a hot mess at check in. We originally did a contract via email for our block of rooms. Got there, none of our rooms were booked correctly. Rooms we wanted and requested weren’t available. The next day we were inconvenienced to put another car down for more incidental fees when they were to be covered with the master card on file for the block of rooms. TV screen went out, could hear the volume but screen was green saying SEE on each channel.

Staff were outstanding. TV was confusing, didn't work at all in the first room we had, and worked in the second room, but was hard to figure out the cable channels. Generally an ok room.

Excellent stay - front desk staff was incredible. Breakfast was cleanest we have been to.

Check in with a breeze and Alonda was absolutely fabulous helping us get checked in and Nya was awesome with us in the morning. Great people working there. Kind, friendly, and pleased overall with the room, location and employees.

ROOM RATES TOO HIGH for what you get. Newer hotel. Rooms Clean. Minimal Amenities in Room. Safe location. Breakfast was almost non-existent. Very minimal HEALTHY food choices. COFFEE was LOUZY. I threw it in the TRASH. STAFF were stoic and not very friendly and welcoming and appreciative of our stay.

Brkfst was great. The attendant Ray kept everything full and clean. He also greeted everyone. He is a efficient team member with a positive attitude. Way to go Ray!
