A lovely hotel right in the gorgeous old town of Malaga. We had the most basic room but were still really impressed with it - spacious, modern and stylish. Had breakfast on the terrace one day which was nice but expensive (as hotel breakfasts always are!) and some rounds of drinks. The pool is tiny and very few sun loungers in the sun - the negative of this is it’s hard to get one, the positive is it’s nice and quiet at the pool!

This hotel has a wonderful breakfast(get it included with your stay), a beautiful interior that is much bigger than you would expect from the outside, and great service throughout. I was disappointed or didn’t expect the pool to be so small. While it is nice to have the pool, it’s only about 10 ft by 8ft(rough estimate). Also, the sunbathing chairs are limited-I counted 8?? And if you get one, they will likely only have sun exposure for a limited time due to the other buildings blocking the sun. Many guests will also sit and read….for a very long long time. That made it difficult to enjoy the pool, since our towel and personal items had to be bunched on the ground beside the pool. There’s also only about 1 foot of space to walk around the pool, so if more than two people leave their towels like we did, the walking area is blocked. The food by the pool was great-get the burrata. Also-if you’re in the primary building, the pool is in the adjacent building-you need to go out of the hotel to enter the second building. Being our first time, I’m guessing there are better suites available. The room was super quiet even though we are in the old town center. We had the courtyard facing window. Also, we really liked the closet space and room layout. Bed was good-but not a temperpedic. I would stay here again. The location being in old town is ideal for a 3-4 day visit. We didn’t need to get a car, and walked wherever we wanted to go.

Property is beautiful, great location if you are a tourist in Malaga and want to see the important attractions. If arriving with a rental car the hotel is on a street that does not allow traffic, so you will need to park in a lot approx 300 meters away.

Zeer mooi en fijn hotel op perfecte locatie in het oude centrum van Malaga. Fijn zwembadje op het dak (wel weinig ligbedjes). Zeer mooie kamer (245) met ligbad, douche, dubbele wastafel. De regendouche-knop werkte niet en de hand douche gaf geen krachtige straal en duurde lang voordat het warm werd. De WIFI was haperend en het bed vrij hard, maar ondanks dit was ons verblijf perfect. Geen gebruik gemaakt van restaurant/bar.

Excellent hotel in the old town center of Malaga. Walking distance to everything, a breakfast that has all you need and more, great roof top pool and just 10 min from the beach. Tre staff is very helpful and polite. This is my go to hotel when stating in Malaga.

This could be a much better hotel, but it suffers from staffing issues. Housekeeping never managed to get everything right, and one day didn’t even show up until after I called to complain after 4:30 pm. The breakfast food is good, but once again there are staff problems - many orders seem to get mislaid, we had to wait more than a half hour and reorder with the manager before we could get anything, and we saw other tables with the same problem. We would not stay here again.

Such a beautiful hotel so central to everything- immaculately clean and well maintained. Could not have been more central in the old town. I had a misunderstanding about the hairdryer and it was sorted straight away Housekeeping was amazing- albeit a little erratic - one day no coffee , one day only one water - one day water but no turn down ! No windows in my room except for a skylight, the room got incredibly hot and ac was only working during the day and was shut off at night. Very uncomfortable and somewhat claustrophobic. Will not recommend. Found another 4 star hotel nearby for a better price, with windows and working ac for my second night. If you choose to stay at Palaceo, beware of the attic rooms or ‘the penthouse’ as they call them. The terrace bar is located there and there are constant noises of clattering dishes and heavy carts in the hallway.

This is a wonderful five star hotel in the heart of the walking District, just minutes from the Alcazaba. As a converted old palace, they maintained a lot of the charm and original Spanish decor, but with a modern feel. Our junior suite was spacious, beautifully appointed and very comfortable. The staff is very friendly and service-oriented. We highly recommend this property.

Hotel Palacio Solecio is a beautiful and stylish property in a fantastic central location. The restaurant is absolutely stunning — it feels like something straight out of the 1940s. Our room was comfortable and well-decorated, though the “outward-facing” view turned out to be directly into another window. The location makes sightseeing easy, but it also meant the room was very noisy at night, which made sleeping difficult. The bathroom looked lovely, but the shower pressure was weak and hard to regulate, and the sliding door was awkward to use in the dark. During our visit, the front of the hotel was covered in scaffolding. The pool, located in a separate building, was attractive but small, unheated, and busy, so loungers were hard to find. Service was polite but not particularly warm. I had emailed ahead about a special occasion and was told a note would be added, but nothing was acknowledged at check-in or during the stay. Information about facilities (like the pool) was also unclear. Overall, this is a very pretty hotel with lots of style, but a few practical issues and lapses in service meant it didn’t fully live up to expectations.

Great luxury hotel. Beds were comfortable. Staff friendly and polite. Near important sites and in the area where you want to be. Unfortunately our room was noisy during the weekend due to partying out in the streets. That is why my overall rating was not 5 stars

Lovely hotel very well placed for visiting everything in Malaga. Close to good restaurants. Only set back, the room was dark, and it was not possible to open a window or door to get fresh air in the room, making it a bit claustrophobic.

The deluxe room and bathroom were spacious. Comfortable bed. Bottle of water provided every night. Coffee in room Nice roof terrace on top floor with swallows at night. The window didn't provide much daylight as very narrow street and blind kept down for privacy - we were in the new Solecio building. It would have been nice to have self service drinking water provided in foyer for guests as in many other hotels. I was disappointed that there was no outside seating area downstairs - the small courtyard appeared to be used for a private company. The photos show original palace courtyard which was only used by the hotel restaurant.

This could be a much better hotel, but it suffers from staffing issues. Housekeeping never managed to get everything right, and one day didn’t even show up until after I called to complain after 4:30 pm. The hotel staff was by far the most professional and attentive out of the six hotels we stayed at during our trip to Spain. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Carmen, who not only gave us a quick tour of the hotel, highlighting its historical features, but also helped us choose some fantastic local restaurants. She even assisted us in planning a memorable day trip to the beach in Marbella. Alexandro and Daniel were equally outstanding, helping us with parking, carrying our heavy luggage, and providing helpful recommendations and tips throughout our stay. Our room, located in the newer section, was incredibly spacious and spotlessly clean. Overall, the exceptional service made our stay truly special.

I had to pay to get an upgrade. They would not honor the vip perk. The room was very nice but there are no finishing touches that would be expected and would make the room much nicer. The person who checked me in was not very nice. This needs to change if they ever want to be a 5 star property

Fantastic hotel in old town. Great friendly staff who did everything to make our stay excellent. Nothing was too much effort from the reception staff to the rooftop bar staff. Hotel was in great condition - everything oozed quality. Would definitely recommend it.

This is a stunning boutique hotel. The remodelling has spared no expense and the rooms are incredible. Location is perfect - you have all the best of Malaga within easy walking distance from the property. My only gripe is that one of the front of house staff was rude. We had tried for an early check in, understanding that it’s not always possible. What bothered us wasn’t so much that we had to wait, but we caught her in a bold faced lie (the couple checked out of our room were in line right after we checked in and we clearly heard the same room number they were leaving). We went sightseeing for several hours and upon returning, were told that the people checked out 45 minutes ago (a lie) and that the room was not yet ready. We then waited for another 1.5 hours. When confronted with the clear inconsistency, we were met with hostility and excuses. Not only that but being shown to our room by a very unhappy and curt front desk staff who clearly now disliked us was totally unprofessional.

The hotel is right in Granada street one of the main pedestrian streets in old town with walking distance to the cathedral, Alcazaba, and the castle. Parking is off site but the hotel can do it for you if you reserve parking with the booking

Rooms are lovely, a mix of old and modern in the heart of Málaga, sooo many choices to dine close by and almost all tours meeting points are at about 15 to 20 minutes walk and the bus station is less than 10 minutes away.

The location is fantastic!! The staff is really welcoming and the hotel amenities are great. Within walking distance of main attractions. The breakfast food was not very tasteful but decent. The hotel is excellent. Great location. Close to restaurants, shops, transportation. Some of the main tourist sites were also very close by. Every day the hotel gave us a free bottle of water, the room was spacious, and the bed was very comfortable.

Check In was efficient however it wasn’t a warm welcome. Staff didn’t recognize that we are returning guests. We didn’t receive the two drinks vouchers. The Junior Suite was really nice and a good size for our two night stay. The turndown service at night did not change towels or placed floor mats next to the bed. Breakfast was really perfect with a nice selection of „a la Carte“ dishes. The staff in the breakfast restaurant was caring and super friendly.

DONT DO THE BREAKFAST. Paid (a supposed discounted) 20 EUR for what ended up being a tiny bowl of yogurt and the world's smallest, overcooked eggs Benedict. One small egg, 1 tiny piece of bacon and a tiny bun. Flavor was just normal. 20 EUR for a meal in Spain is a decent amount and any restaurant in the world serves 2 eggs for eggs bene.
