Our first time here and we loved it. The front hostess was great and the room was both clean and very cozy. Our room didn’t have a fridge, but there is an entire kitchen available on the 3rd floor. It has cereals, coffee, bread w/toaster. I would definitely recommend this stay. Located right in the downtown area, so it was perfect. The only issue some may have, are the stairs. If you have difficulty with stairs, I would recommend the 2nd floor. That’s what you get with a heritage building. Great stay !!!!

We had a good visit here but would like to advise travelers that due to the number of stairs and no elevator (as it is an extremely old building), it may not be suitable for older, or mildly handicapped people. We stayed 5 nights so the stairs became an excellent form of exercise. The communal kitchen was very well stocked and added to our stay. We very much enjoyed the Bistro and the staff there. The hike up 58 stairs to our room on the 3rd floor, although not unpleasant, was a bit of a challenge for us 80 year olds with suitcases. Perhaps the summary of the Clock Tower Inn on the web should include this.

Staying at the clocktower was unique. Not your typical hotel. Very classic old building. Note there is no elevator, and you have to climb steep stairs to get to the rooms. My favorite part was walking to the restaurant where i had awesome wine and pizza, made fresh from the oven. Also charming was the pigeons cooing on the roof.

Great unique building. We stayed on top floor which had a large bedroom, sitting area and large bathroom and shower. Just outside the door was a well outfitted kitchen with free access to coffee and light breakfast. If stairs are a problem for you book lower down.

Beautiful Historical venue. Great food at the Bistro! Definately check it out. There is no staff really to assist you so plan to be self reliant. Check in at the Bistro when you arrive and hopefully someone knows how to help you get in. Theres no fridge, microwave, ice machine so plan accordingly.

This was a great inn if you just need a place to stay. Although lots of stairs being on the third floor. No shower just a claw foot tub. And there were ants in our room. That being said we only spent one night and it was a cheap option

There was no breakfast, the frig was broken so milk, yogurt, bread and everything was bad. No pastries or fruit. Nothing to eat, even though was to be a breakfast. Often no hot water, ran water for 15 mins and still no hot water to wash face at night, in morning got 1 minute of hot water then when shampoo in hair, water went cold again to rinse off shampoo. The light fixture had a broken switch, the trap in the shower was not attached so it moved around shower floor. There was no one to contact for any of these problems, the bar restaurant for contact did not open until 11 am, closed at 9 am, and was closed on Sundays. Overall just a terrible experience, worst ever for an Inn or bed and breakfast. I sent an email after we checked out, and no one ever responded to our concerns, that just shows how little they care about their clients after they take your money.

Perfectly repurposed building in the heart of a quiet town. Everything was as expected. The only thing we recommend improving is the water in the shower as the temperature would suddenly drop and then take minutes to heat back up.

We thought the hotel room was beautiful for the first 30 seconds simply because the bed looked pretty, but as we began to look around we realized how dirty and beaten up the room was. The carpet, walls, trim, furniture, shower and so on were filthy, torn, mouldy and sad. The air conditioning was the worst part. It didn’t have a constant humming sound, instead it coughed, hacked and screamed all night. We didn’t get a wink of sleep. At 5am, we thought it was going to explode! The shower couldn’t get hot or stay hot. There was black mould in the shower and the corners of the rooms were filled with black muck.

I enjoyed my stay at Clock Tower and like the facility, and was very clean, quiet, nice breakfast facility included. However, the TV did not work and was told the cable box was broken. They did give me a discount when I reported it on Aug 16, when I arrived. Next day when I showered, there was no hot water, only cold. There was no one there that Sunday morning, Aug. 18, 2024 to report this to and no one picking up my call when I called the desk. I was leaving that day and was not able to speak with anyone about this.

Hot water didn’t work in the sink. Not even after waiting all the time suggested by the “notes” about their water system. The curtains were not hanging properly and came off the rail when we opened them in the morning. The breakfast area was bad: no milk at all. Hardly anything on offer. Room decorations were lovely: that was a high point.

Stay was alright, having to carry around a key is annoying. Having no fridge is a big inconvenience in this day and age. Only garbage is in the bathroom. Small room for the price definitely not worth it. Bathroom is beautiful pretty much the same size as room. Told there was parking in the back didn’t see any signage for parking. No fridge and minimal counter space for the price as well as ac that requires the window to be open with the train blasting their horn every hour is definitely not ideal. I’m nice I’ll rate it 3 stars if this was in a populous city I’d give it 1.

This is a really unique inn that needs upgrades. Our suite did not have an operational tv or bathroom light. The walls were stained and the bed needs a comfortable duvet. A little more attention to detail would make for a better stay for guests.

It was a very cool spot to stay. Gave a European feel. Only one complaint we tried everything to figure out the remotes, no channels would come in. Hockey was on so hubby wasn't thrilled. Watched on the phone.

Room was excellent, very clean. Definitely go back whenever im in Strathroy. TV was broken over the holidays. Manager said he give me discount because he hasnt had tome to get a new one. To me that was a big plus. One downside there was no frig. All in all was impressed. 😁

Also, there was an ant infestation in the bathroom of my room and the tv was broken. There were also stains on the walls from the AC leaking.

Great Spot! I eat here often. Staff is amazing. First time staying and for an old building it is in great shape. My hotel in a brand new building the previous night had more damage. Everything worked perfect. Staff were amazing.

Good location, the room was clean but a little dark as there was one small lamp in the room and not working. Maintaining the temperature of the warm water was a challenge. Wanted 2 additional pillows but were not available. Kitchen amenities were good.

This place has history. We enjoyed our stay here coming from the USA for a funeral. It was an excellent place for "home-base" for a couple of days. We ate at the Inn for dinners and there was a kitchenette for very basic breakfasts. The hot water supply was temperamental. Enjoyed the downtown location and we had no problem parking for free. We enjoy supporting local businesses and off-the-beaten path places. This was a great stay.

Heel oud gebouw waardoor de douche er heel lang over doet om warm te worden. Bed was goed en slaspkamer ruim. Maar alles oud. Ontbijt was slecht. Het was zelfservice en bestond uit bijna niks. Enkel cereals met melk. Wij dachten een 3 persoons kamer geboekt re hebben, maar die was er niet.
