Stayed 1 night

We asked for a quiet room and were given a room near their maintenance room. On our first day, the hallway smelled like old foods as there were a pile of unwashed dishes outside the maintenance room from afternoon till after dinner. Our shower drain stopped working in the middle of taking a shower. I had to turn off the shower and wait for the maintenance guy for 25 minutes to come and fix it. There was also a clicking sound right outside

Stayed 2 nights

From the moment of arrival, the welcome was truly wonderful. The ground staff greeted us warmly, offered a refreshing welcome drink, and performed a lovely traditional Indian greeting complete with a tilak and a tulsi stem garland. Throughout the stay, the restaurants and food proved to be top-notch and consistently excellent. When I raised concerns about our initial room, Manager Shyam was empathetic, apologetic, and proactive. While the initial lack of connecting options meant we had to stay put for the first night, the team successfully moved us to superior connecting rooms on the 4th floor (Rooms 480/481) the following day. Hospitality is driven by people, and the staff certainly showed they cared. Rooms280/281 Bathrooms: The WC was old and rundown, the sink was cracked, the shower tray sink was broken, and the silicone work around the fixtures looked amateurish. Furnishings: The furniture was heavily used, scratched, and tired, the sofa was stained and dirty, and the room had not been properly vacuumed. Final Verdict Booking a room here currently feels like a "lucky dip." While the staff ultimately resolved the issue a day later, having a holiday disrupted—even for a single day—is far from ideal. For a prestigious brand like the Taj, these rooms desperately need a thorough refurbishment. I remain a loyal Taj guest, but I hope steps are taken to ensure consistent standards in the future.

Stayed 2 nights

A lovely 2 night stay whilst visiting the Taj Mahal. The property is very convenient for seeing the Taj Mahal and the town. The rooftop pool and bar in particular is lovely with an infinity pool and view towards the Taj. A special mention must go to the team at The Indian restaurant within the hotel which was exceptional.
