Love that the room was spacious and actually had a true king bed (seems to be a rare find on our trip). A bus right outside the hotel brought us easily to the Shibuya area. Otherwise travelling from a subway station nearby was easy access, although we found the Keo line confusing. But coming back to this hotel was a nice piece of relaxation. The rooftop area is also a nice touch.

Close to restaurants and shops and Keio train lines, the hotel is situated across from a highway but the windows were soundproof so sleeping was easy with no noise. As a smaller hotel it had three rooms, a stairway and an elevator door on each floor, again making it a comfortable stay. The rooftop gardens were nice, one side covered and one with some covering over the seating areas with an espresso machine station at the stairwell to make your own preferences. We reserved a king bedroom and the combination shower/bathtub room was very spacious. I was confused at first until I realized the whole room was the shower as you closed the door, with an unobtrusive drain on the tile floor. The staff were helpful, I needed an iron one day and ther is also m-f same day laundry service. The front desk is not manned 24 hours but there are ways to get the staff by phoning at any time and the signs are legible to help out non Japanese speaking people. I liked the convenient bus stop out front, another bus stop around the corner, and the Sasazuka Train Station within a couple blocks. The restaurants and variety of shops are all close by, as is a hospital that was not needed but still helpful to know. Quiet residential neighborhood behind the busy street in front of the hotel that has a beautiful Buddhist Shrine with lovely gardens. A Tokyo Toilet Project station, architect designed, is located close by. If I come back to Tokyo I would again make this the home base for all my exploring.

Large room, warm and roomy shower and tub room. Great bathroom. It was really nice to spread out. Heater above window was fine once it warmed up the room, which took a while in early March. Microwave and toaster-oven on all stair landings. Fancy coffee machines on the top floor and lobby. Nice indoor and outdoor community space on roof. Neighborhood is old, maybe ‘50s, with mid-rises. Lots of little restaurants and shops. It has a neighborhoody feel versus downtown flash. Quiet, with some streets offering a lot of nightlife. We spent a lot of time riding a stop or two to Shinjuku or Shibuya. We stayed here because our friends wanted a king bed, which was hard to find in our price range. They were pleased with the hotel and so were we.
