The Railway Hotel Koyasan Pilgrimage Railway - Station Inn - Self Check-in Only

One of the most unique properties we have ever stayed at. The room is a combination of old and new done exceedingly well. The property manager is outstanding.

This place is amazing. Large for Japan standards and quirky, with original station features and nice add ons the owner has made. Lovely thoughtful inclusions such as a torch, ear plugs (ee didnt need them, to be honest most places in Japan you can hear a trai !), umbrella, lovely bath products, great coffee, breakfast tickets, microwave. The owner has made the effort. This was a highlight of two weeks around Japan.

Clean and uniquely decorated room. So interesring to stay inside a station. Wifi is fast too. Noise from the train is not a problem at all. Would be better if it offer free/cheaper luggage storage before checkin, 1000JPY per hour just too much.

We sliepen hier na een dagje Koyasan. Wat een bijzondere locatie was dit, je slaapt echt op het station! De check in was met een code die je van te voren krijgt, dat was ook gemakelijk. De kamer was schoon en van alle gemakken voorzien.

電車好きの子供の為に予約しました。鉄ヲタにとって、こんなに最高の宿は無い！唯一無二のホテルだと思います。幼児が1人追加になる事や、チェックインが夜遅くになる事等、事前にいくつか質問しましたが、ご丁寧に対応いただきました。今回、高野の部屋に家族で泊まりました。部屋の中には、駅員さんの格好ができる制服と帽子があり、それを身につけ、トイレのドア（本物の電車のドアが使われています）を開け、車掌さんごっこをして遊びました。部屋の中は広くて綺麗でした。古さもありますが、そのレトロさがまたとても良い！！洗面所とお風呂は現代風で、清潔感があります。子供たちは、電車が来る度、改札口まで行き、ずっと電車を眺めていました。周りに何も無いですが、ただひたすら電車に没頭できるので、それもまた良いいなと思いました。
