I don't mean this as a negative review but I think people should be aware of what this hotel is. It is essentially an upscale backpacker hostel. The rooms have inexpensive furniture and there are a ton of small hassles you'll have to deal with. They put a door in front of the refrigerator unit. When you open the door, its hinges prevent the refrigerator from opening and closing. The sleeper sofa wouldn't close completely. They don't give you shampoo in the shower - they provide a couple of shampoo packets. We were 3 people for 5 days and 3 shampoo packets doesn't cut it, so we had to go out and buy a bottle of shampoo. They only supplied 2 rolls of toilet paper for 5 days for 3 people. When I asked for another roll (yeah, just one) at the front desk the guy didn't want to give it to me! He finally did. They supply 4 capsules of coffee for the Nespresso machine. Since we were 3 people for 5 days, we had to buy the additional capsules for the rest of the days one by one at the front desk. Not terrible, but not very classy either. The staff was quite nice (aside from the weird toilet paper guy) and the location is excellent so its not like we had a bad stay, it just has a bit of a backpacker feel to it that I wasn't expecting.

The hotel room itself was great but the hotel staff was not friendly or accommodating. We asked for an extra key to our room and were berated and threatened that if we lost it there would be a major fine….i travel for a living and have never been told this before… I also think there is a major security issue with the hotel not having any phones in the guest rooms—what are guests supposed to do if they need help or emergency services? The last issue was that of the dishes in the kitchen—there is a sign stating that dish cleaning is not included in the price of the room….this leaves me to believe that guests are “cleaning” them prior to leaving with no other sanitation taking place. Because of this, we washed every dish that we used prior to using it and then rewatched after usage…definitely not ideal and not something anyone wants to do on their vacation. Increase the price of the reservation to include this service…
