Hilton Garden Inn Sudbury

The hotel is new and clean, and the room was perfect. The only issue is that if you are not a Hilton member like me, you only have access to free basic Wi-Fi, which can only be used to send and receive emails. You also have to pay for the bottled water inside the room. The membership is free; I get it, but I just do not need that many memberships, which keep sending me all the promotion emails and messages. I have never been to a single hotel that does not offer free high-speed wifi and bottled water to all the customers.

Hotel needs to have EV charger

New hotel (2021), clean king room. No breakfast included. Only issue is parking on a Friday night was difficult due to the neighbouring restaurant - possibly they should mark off part of the parking lot for hotel guests only.

Good location. Limited parking spots. Very loud and noisy in the lobby due to entertainment in the restaurant.

The location was good but parking sucked

Great sound proof room, comfortable king bed, nice shower and bathroom, beautiful property in a safe location. Wished it had hot tub instead of a shallow pool.

Parking lot is a lil strangely setup with so many things around it but all in all convenient to access Hotel is nicely set up and has a comfy lounge and sitting area downstairs. Drawbacks, no computers for internet access in lobby and the pool water seemed very murky and there was no hot tub!

Excellent stay overall. By far one of the cleanest properties Ive been in recently. The bed was extremely comfy, loved that I could use my streaming services while away on the tv in the room and the room was very large and welcoming. The restaurant had an excellent menu with great portion sizes and tasty food. Wine selection was lovely as well. The parking was minimal due to the size of the lot but still was able to get a spot each night. Great location and very central. Staff were super friendly and accomodating. I wish the pool was in service but totally understand that maintenance has to occur. The gym had modern and well maintained equipment. The only thing that would make this place better would be a hot tub, haha.

Clean room and public areas.... we have stayed before and will stay again

The day we got there, front desk only had one reception open, and a line up formed behind us due to this. The second front desk reception was unable to log in due to being a new team member. We waited in line for 20 minutes before anyone even told us what was going on, we didn’t even get greeted. Not a good start for Hilton. Your front desk staff need to be coached on what hospitality is. Then when we finally got into our room the toilet seat had hair on it, the bedding had some strange dark blood splatter at the inside part of the duvet. Yuck. Horrible for Hilton and $200 a night. Moreover, we chose Hilton because of it being a luxury hotel, hoping that at least our stay would be better. But no. The first night a family of 2 or 3 with 2 to 3 kids each screamed and ran down and up the hall from the time of our checkin till 11 pm. The second day not only did the children do the same thing but there were pieces of chocolate everywhere on our floor. My husband and I were dressed for dinner and we stepped on the chocolate by mistake almost dragging it into our room. It was so frustrating that there was extreme lack of respect for other people staying at the hotel or just on our floor. I’m surprised no one complained. I’m also surprised that the staff didn’t held their customers to higher standards. It was almost like we were at a motel not the Hilton hotel. For this reason we will never be staying at this Hilton location ever again. Not worth the price, the quality of room.

The staff was great. Our room and the entire hotel was very clean and comfortable. The restaurant had great food, drinks and atmosphere.

Very nice room. Mostly clean although there were some smudges on the bathroom door handle and shower glass. Staff were friendly. Overall great hotel.

The front-desk staff were excellent, as were most of the service staff at the restaurant. When cleaning, some of the rags were left in my room and there was a staff member in the restaurant area who wasn't friendly, but beyond that - amazing stay.

Not a fan of the rooms at all, the fact the curtains don’t close makes it hard to sleep. The rooms are always so bright due to the lights outside the hotel.

It wasn’t great. The air conditioner was noisy, bed was rock solid and something was making a banging noise every hour or so. No one asked how our stay was as we left so I decided to leave this review instead. Wouldn’t stay here again. Wouldn’t return back.

I loved absolutely everything about my stay at this hotel. I have no complaints whatsoever it’s beautiful it’s quiet the staff are so nice the rooms are spacious

Nice hotel pillows were super uncomfortable

Everything was absolutely amazing. The only complaint was the pillows. Way to soft. The coffee machine was a little complicated, why not just put a simple Keurig. Do not need complications when making morning coffee lol.

The room was clean , and the staff very pleasant. However you could smell cigarette smoke from the smoking area located directly below the window. At one time on Saturday afternoon someone had taken the lid off the “ butt” container and it was full and burning. The sliding bathroom door was ridiculous. There was a half inch gap on each side of the door and the occupant could be clearly seen and heard. No privacy.

Loved this hotel! Very clean, very spacious, and the staff were so nice! We were there when the big Microsoft issue happened so we couldn't get key cards. Each hotel occupant had to be let in to their room by an employee. Let me tell you, I would have been frazzled if I were an employee dealing with that. But the staff there were amazing, they took it all in stride, kept their wits about them and one staff in particular had a great sense of humour. I wish I'd gotten her name, she deserves several awards! Anyways, the room was quiet, well equipped with toiletries, towels, hair dryer, coffee machine (thank you Jesus), microwave and mini fridge. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were HEAVENLY. I need pillows like that at home! Hotel has a very nice pool and exercise room. Very close to restaurants and Tim's. All in all, such a great experience that I would highly recommend staying here 😊.

Front desk super helpful

This is a very nice place to stay. The staff were all lovely, there was a global tech outage that disabled the key cards, this did not affect the service at all. Everyone was so cheerful and there was always someone to escort us to our room to provide us access. I will definitely stay again.

Front desk clerk seemed very confused Check in took a painfully long time , and then he told me my “charge for incidentals” in my credit card didn’t go through…. Luckily I was able to pull up my banking app where it was clear that it had gone through. (Weird?) Checked in at 9:30 no food available in restaurant - a little annoyed about that.

The staff was amazing and helped us with an accommodation for my special needs son. Building was clean and in good shape

The room had a horrible smell.Called down and told them to come up and smell it. No one showed. The room over all was nice.

The girl at check in didn’t greet or speak very much. The lady checking me out the next day was total opposite. Very friendly asked about my stay if all went well or if I had issues. Big difference in customer service

The parking lot is a bit unique but the hotel itself is beautiful, it's located in a great area for shopping dining etc it's also not far from some local attractions

Clean and modern hotel. Close to Costco, Chapters and other retail stores. Different restaurant options close by, The Keg right beside, or fast food options like subway.

Location is on two major roadways for the city. This is convenient since you’re central to a lot of stores and restaurants but also horrible for being able to access the entrance and exit to the parking area. Especially the Barrydowne entrance, almost impossible to get in or out unless it’s super early in the morning or late at night.

First time staying here and loved it. Ate at the restaurant for dinner and breakfast, food was excellent. Loved that the restaurant was right on the property. Will be staying here again!

J’ai réservé cet hôtel pour le resto (j’ai une personne à mobilité réduite avec moi). Une fois sur place, le resto est fermé pour la soirée. Important de nous aviser lors de la réservation.

Excellent hotel. Not my first stay, and won't be my last. However, beware the built in 18% tip on the restaurant bill if you order room service. They should declare that. I got caught twice. (that is my reason for 4 star only on staff and service)

Always love staying here. Clean, quiet, excellent location, friendly staff. Only thing I think they can improve on, not so much for the hotel, but the room service from the excellent restaurant, is to declare that gratuity of 18% is automatically added to the bill. Tipping on top of a tip is a bit much. LOL. Simply make sure to read the receipt first folks.
