The Lark and Loon was a unique and fascinating b&b which provided a well appointed place to sleep and several comfortable, inviting common rooms to relax and reflect. Our hosts were friendly and attentive. The delicious breakfast was elegantly served. The L& L was a delightful find.

I liked the Victorian style house apparently designed by an Italian architect as told by the owner who welcomed us with a big smile. The house, today, completely renovated still retains the charm of the era and with the collection of ceramics displayed on windowsills, shelves and tables both created by the owner himself and other artists, appears as a little jewel that I had the pleasure of experiencing even just for one night. The room was spacious and very clean. Everything smelled really good even the towels and the blankets. Breakfast takes place in the living room on the ground floor with other guests and is personalized based on your preferences, eating habits and allergies. We are vegan and they served us a vegan breakfast with bread made by the owners. Everything was delicious. I definitely recommend it.

Beautiful property with very comfortable accommodations. There is a good amount of space for relaxing in the extra living room areas, which are decorated to highlight the history of the house and town. Proximity to town is great and the kind hosts are friendly and share information about dining, history, and more. Unfortunately, we were in a rush and did not get to enjoy the breakfast but we will have to return to enjoy it as we had no doubt it would be excellent due to the high level of detail apparent in every part of the inn. Highly recommend!

This is a beautiful B n B located on the main street of Annapolis Royal. The property is in an historic house located amongst other wonderful heritage houses. Our room had every amenity including an excellent private bathroom with shower. The lounge areas are just amazing. An excellent breakfast topped off a great stay.

The Lark and Loon is in an impressive historic house where Lesley and Kevin, the warm and personable owners, have assembled an amazingly curated collection of furnishings and historic items. Their communication was prompt and thorough including providing very interesting and helpful information about their part of Nova Scotia. Our room, the lovely sitting rooms and the dining room were elegantly furnished and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was great including adapting it to my troublesome allergies. Following our stay we are grateful to have visited some highlights recommended by Kevin that we would never have found on our own. We unreservedly recommend staying at The Lark and Loon.

A warm,welcoming arrival to a most amazing Victorian home. Friendly,interesting hosts were helpful and engaging, making stay relaxed and healing. Beautifully appointed room. Immaculate. Award winning chef made breakfast to die for, capping off a perfect visit. Treat yourself to meeting fine people, interested in making your stay memorable. Every inch of home of museum quality. 40 minute nature walk handy. Town steeped in tradition with Fort and Historic gardens to boot. If not enough, get owner talking about his world renowned pottery! He’s had nine lives apparently. Many thanks to a dear couple.

A wonderful, clean, well kept B&B. The hosts Kevin and Leslie are awesome. Friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The breakfast was delicious and filling. The room was beautiful, classy, large, and had a minisplit for air conditioning. The bathroom had a corner shower with great pressure and plenty of hot water. A beautiful old house with gorgeous antiques and artwork, and the pleasure of modern amenities. We haven’t stayed in a B&B in several years, but I don’t remember ever having experienced one as nice as the Lark & Loon.

It has been lovingly maintained and the room and bathroom were spotless. They have lots of thoughtful amenities. Breakfast was delicious and they were willing to accommodate my early start to the day. The location is fantastic and very walkable to down town Annapolis Royal and many sites.

An absolutely delightful stay in a beautifully restored elegant manor home in this historic stately town. The owners are very attentive, friendly and hospitable. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a large ensuite. Our breakfast was delicious with homemade scones, fresh coffee and juices. Located a quick walk to shops, the Fort and the Botanical Gardens. We felt so welcomed by our hosts. What a restful, delightful stay in one of my favourite towns in Nova Scotia. The Lark and Loon may well now be our favourite bed and breakfast!

First time staying at a bed and breakfast in Canada. Was very pleased with the inn and our room. Very spacious room and private bathroom with a claw tub! Several rooms to relax and chat with other guests. Lots of thoughtful amenities such as water in the room, coffee machine on second floor and more. Our hosts were lovely and informative. And best part was the breakfast! Felt like royalty. Only disappointment was I didn't take pictures to share!

A M A Z I N G! Thank you for an amazing stay at your beautiful Inn. We were welcomed by gracious hosts and shown the stunning manor. They gave us some dinner suggestions and we had the most amazing seafood! Our bed was comfortable, and the whole place was nice and quiet for a sound sleep. The hosts were kind enough to have an amazing breakfast to go for us as we had a flight to catch. Great coffee too! We will definitely return!

I highly recommend "The Lark and Loon" , it is definetely a 5 Star B&B! The rooms are tastefully decorated with a very warm and welcoming "feel". The bed and linens are luxurious. The owners, Lesley and Kevin, are lovely and were very quick to accommodate my dietary restrictions. My breakfast was perfect. I would definitely stay there again.

The owners, Lesley and Kevin, are lovely and were very quick to accommodate my dietary restrictions. My breakfast was perfect. I would definitely stay there again.

The Lark and Loon is in an impressive historic house where Lesley and Kevin, the warm and personable owners, have assembled an amazingly curated collection of furnishings and historic items. Their communication was prompt and thorough including providing very interesting and helpful information about their part of Nova Scotia. Our room, the lovely sitting rooms and the dining room were elegantly furnished and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was great including adapting it to my troublesome allergies. A M A Z I N G! Thank you for an amazing stay at your beautiful Inn. We were welcomed by gracious hosts and shown the stunning manor. They gave us some dinner suggestions and we had the most amazing seafood! Our bed was comfortable, and the whole place was nice and quiet for a sound sleep. The hosts were kind enough to have an amazing breakfast to go for us as we had a flight to catch. Great coffee too! We will definitely return!

Great place to stay. Clean, authentic and the breakfasts are delicious. Also it is a 10 minute walk from downtown. The hosts are very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Next time we are in the area we’ll make sure to stay there again. I definitely recommend the Lark and Loon.

An absolutely delightful stay in a beautifully restored elegant manor home in this historic stately town. The owners are very attentive, friendly and hospitable. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a large ensuite. Our breakfast was delicious with homemade scones, fresh coffee and juices. Located a quick walk to shops, the Fort and the Botanical Gardens. We felt so welcomed by our hosts. What a restful, delightful stay in one of my favourite towns in Nova Scotia. The location is excellent with the small but cute town of Annapolis Royal just a 15 minute walk from the property. The town has numerous art galleries plus a wine bar, brewery, and some excellent restaurants. Pro tip: make your lodging reservation here well in advance since they book up months ahead of time. This is truly a 10 out of 10 experience!

There is a good amount of space for relaxing in the extra living room areas, which are decorated to highlight the history of the house and town. Proximity to town is great and the kind hosts are friendly and share information about dining, history, and more. Unfortunately, we were in a rush and did not get to enjoy the breakfast but we will have to return to enjoy it as we had no doubt it would be excellent due to the high level of detail apparent in every part of the inn. Highly recommend, we only stayed one night but wished we had more time to spend as the place has feel of your favourite armchair with many interesting curiosities. Kevin is a walking history lesson and he and Leslie serve wonderful breakfast and our stay was highlight of our stay in Annapolis Royal.

Everything was well above expectations. The host couple are welcoming and made us feel very much at home. The property is immaculate and each room (public spaces and the private room) was curated with care and attention to details.
